(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Wan Taoying Faces Indictment

Ms. Wan Taoying was arrested on August 5, 2025, in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. She had previously contacted Mr. Wang Yongjin, a Falun Gong practitioner in Fuzhou, on WeChat and asked for the three cell phones he’d bought for her, not knowing that he had been arrested and that the police had confiscated her cell phones. She is now facing indictment by the Minqing County Procuratorate in Fuzhou.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Juan and Luan Detained

Ms. Li Juan and Luan, first name and gender unknown, were recorded by surveillance camera putting up Falun Gong flyers in early October 2025. They were arrested at their respective homes around 6 a.m. on October 24, 2025. They were given 15 days at the Jinjiajie Second Lockup.

3. [Beijing] Mr. Zhu Guangjun Formally Arrested

Mr. Zhu Guangjun was arrested at home by officers from Shunyi District Domestic Security Division and Dasungezhuang Police Station on September 14, 2025. The officers ransacked his place and admitted him to the Shunyi District Detention Center. His family received his arrest warrant on October 21.

4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Fenghua Detained

Ms. Wang Fenghua was followed by the police when she was distributing Falun Gong materials on October 21, 2025. She was arrested at home by Qilu Police Station officers. Her home was ransacked. She has been held in a local lockup since.

Ms. Wang was previously arrested in August 2025 and detained for 15 days.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yuna Arrested

Ms. Liu Yuna was arrested by Gaotong Town Police Station officers on October 21, 2025, for distributing Falun Gong flyers in Gaotong Street Market.

6. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Du Hong Detained

Ms. Du Hong, about 57, was arrested on October 16, 2025. She is being held in the Wuhan City First Detention Center.

7. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Zhanqing Detained

Mr. Wang Zhanqing posted a Mid-Autumn greeting to Falun Gong’s founder on social media platform Kuaishou using his cell phone in early October 2025. He was arrested on October 15, 2025, by officers from Liaoning Province Public Security Department, Lingyuan City Police Department, and Xiaochengzi Police Station. They ransacked his home and interrogated him. They revealed that they had been monitoring him since last year after they discovered he’d been posting images of the Shen Yun show on Kuaishou. He has been held in Lingyuan City Detention Center since.

8. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Mr. Guan Yongheng Imprisoned

Mr. Guan Yongheng, 49, was arrested on June 6, 2024, and released on bail the next day. He was tried in the Xishan District Court on April 16, 2025, and sentenced to three years with a 10,000-yuan fine. He appealed to the Kunming City Intermediate Court, which ruled to uphold his original verdict. He was taken back into custody, admitted to the Xishan District Detention Center in late August 2025, and later transferred to the Yunnan Province First Prison.

9. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhuang Mingxia Released After Two Years Imprisonment

Ms. Zhuang Mingxia was released from Jilin Province Women’s Prison on October 19, 2025, after completing a two-year term.

10. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Two Married Couples Detained

Mr. Fang Yusheng, 60, who just retired from Shandong Province Family Planning Commission, and his wife were arrested at home on September 29, 2025, by seven Changqing District Police Department officers. The officers deceived him into opening his door and ransacked the place for about three hours. They seized Falun Gong books and printouts, notebook and desktop computers, printers, digital cameras, and other items. Their family car was impounded and held in at Jinan City Third Detention Center.

Mr. Fang was admitted to the Jinan City Third Detention Center around 1 a.m. on September 30, 2025. His wife was admitted to the Jinan City Detention Center.

Mr. Liu Ruping, 64, and his wife Ms. Zhang Chenglan, 62, were arrested by Changqing District Police Department officers on the morning of September 29, 2025. He is being held in the Jinan City Third Detention Center. His wife is likely being held in the Jinan City Detention Center.
