(Minghui.org) Every time I watched a Shen Yun performance, I was deeply moved by the scene where Dafa practitioners held up Falun Dafa banners, standing steadfastly like green pines and radiating noble bearing. Their tall and upright postures demonstrated the righteousness of Dafa to the world, setting an excellent example for Dafa practitioners everywhere, especially those at truth-clarification sites.

During the 80th session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in New York City in late September this year, many practitioners gathered on the streets of New York, displaying Falun Dafa banners and handing out Dafa information pamphlets to passersby. This was an excellent opportunity to showcase the goodness of Dafa, but some practitioners were chatting among themselves while holding the banners or leaning against railings. Some were even holding a banner in one hand while scrolling on their phones with the other, and some were resting their feet on the lower railing bars.

I saw one practitioner who was leaning against a railing. When a Westerner approached him, he offered him a Dafa flyer. The Westerner responded rather bluntly, without taking the flyer, “Do you know how I feel about you guys?” I overheard this exchange and felt speechless. Whether that Westerner had been misled by false information about Dafa or not, the practitioner’s casual posture and attitude when handing out the flyer diminished Dafa’s image.

There is a saying, “An upright heart produces straight posture.” When we wear clothing bearing the words “Falun Dafa” in public spaces, whether on the streets or in parks, our actions represent the image of Dafa practitioners. As Dafa particles, we should consciously stand tall and erect when holding Dafa banners, demonstrating that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is upright.

Furthermore, I recommend that while holding Dafa banners or engaging in other truth-clarification activities, practitioners should avoid chatting among themselves, stay focused, and continuously send righteous thoughts. Any necessary communication can be handled afterwards. I saw practitioners standing along New York’s Second Avenue during that UN event, holding banners but talking with each other at the same time, which did not properly echo the solemnity of the event. This could also lead people to mistakenly believe the Chinese Communist Party’s lie that practitioners are paid to be there.

Everyone has heard the saying, “Actions speak louder than words.” Fellow practitioners at truth-clarification sites, please be mindful of your conduct in public spaces, so that when people see the upright figures of Dafa practitioners, they immediately perceive the righteousness of Dafa.
