We are rapidly approaching a new era, getting ever closer to the answers to the riddles of the entire universe. It has taken so much for all of this to come to be, but how quickly it all seems to have arrived. The day when we will be allowed to see the truth and the reality is so very close, and yet we still have so many responsibilities and tasks that remain unfinished.

What is the truth? How do we explain the truth?

The brutal persecution by a small number of people in the Chinese government against Falun Gong practitioners is the truth that we must explain first. The viciousness of their tactics, the treachery of their methods, and the extent of their cruelty are comparable to any recorded incidence of brutality throughout history. Their shamelessness is as unmentionable as during the worst incidents of deception in history. Their violent and inhuman actions alone have already caused them to utterly lose the hearts of the people the world over. Where will these "people" who are only human on the surface, finally end up? When the people have clearly seen these kinds of facts, every goodhearted person will immediately understand what is really happening and will position themselves far, far away from the evil.

In the course of introducing Dafa to the public, we often meet goodhearted people in all different kinds of settings who think of ways to help us and try to support us as much as possible. Every time we meet people like this, we always feel that because our level of xinxing (the nature of the heart and the mind; moral character) isnt quite high enough, because we dont have the capability, or because we arent prepared, we arent able to let them understand what Falun Dafa is. This will affect their reaching the position that they may end up in. We only know how to talk about the reality of the human rights situation -- this is not enough. Those with predestined relationships attain the Fa through us. We need to have the ability to explain the reality of the human rights situation, but we also need to have the xinxing level of a practitioner and the wisdom given to us by the Dafa to explain to them how extraordinary and how precious the Dafa is and how much it relates to them.

In the course of introducing Dafa to the public, we have also found that peoples understanding of Dafa is continually deepening. They are using what they understand of historical events, great historical figures, historical movements, and the new morality of this historical time to express their understanding and affirmation of Dafa. This attempt to place our situation within the context of the concepts and frameworks familiar to people also indicates to us the degree to which the people are longing for the Dafa. Our function in the world, from a certain standpoint, can be said to be to use our experiences and our cultivation practice to lessen the distance between them and the Dafa. Between the laws and principles of the Dafa and the understanding of the people, there is a great amount of urgent work that needs to be done. We must build many different kinds of bridges to help people traverse the gap in understanding within a short period of time. If we tell people the laws and principles of the Dafa to the people, then the people will no longer be using the terms they were using before, but instead they will be saying "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance (Zhen, Shan, Ren)," "cultivation practice," "assimilating to the characteristics of the Universe," "returning to ones origin and to the Truth," and so on.

Using the reason and wisdom that the Fa has given us to introduce the Fa to people, we cannot just remain in the mode of going out and handing out newspapers and flyers in the parks, nor should we just keep focusing on the numbers of flyers we have handed out. The issues that Americans, Westerners, and Chinese people are concerned with are not the same, and, amongst Chinese people, the concerns of Mainland Chinese and overseas Chinese are also not the same. In general, many Mainland Chinese people have had relatively more thought karma force-fed to them by those few malicious individuals in the Chinese government, and they also live in an environment that is enshrouded in karma, so breaking through their obstacles is a crucial task. We cannot lump them all together and use the same standard to engage in introduction of the Fa. The audience is not the same, so the method of introduction and the content will not be the same. In the course of introducing the Fa, we have also encountered these types of people: we had spoken to them at an earlier time, but they hadnt understood; now we are speaking to them again and they have gradually deepened their understanding, and some of them have great potential to obtain the Fa and practice cultivation. Thus, our repeated efforts are also necessary.

We must have the momentum to reach all corners of the earth and strengthen the manifestation of the Fa in the human realm. Explaining the truth is our cultivation practice, and explaining the truth is helping the people of the world, providing them with an opportunity to choose the eternal position of their lives. By the same token, both our chance for cultivation practice and their chance to determine their position were granted by the Dafa. At the same time that we cherish our own opportunity to practice cultivation, we need to have compassion and kindness. What we do as a result is also the process of helping to eliminate evil, and that is the process of helping to save all sentient beings.
