(Clearwisdom.net) Before U.S. President George Bush' visit to China, the Human Rights Dialogue between the U.S. and China, which has been interrupted for three years, will be resumed next week. From October 9th to 11th, Chinese and U.S. delegations will meet in Washington D.C. It is expected that the biggest and most severe human rights violation issue in China' history -- the Falun Gong issue -- will be a hot topic at the meeting. Debate the Crimes against Human Rights in China! (Statement from Sweden)

The crimes against human rights in China unfortunately seem to have increased in number. Harassment, torture, and censorship are common stuff for those who contradict the regime in Beijing. Moreover, year after year China beats the world record in the number of executions. Catholics report on systematic harassment. In Tibet, the oppression against the Tibetan people, not least against the Tibetan monks, continues. The possibility to freely exercise one' religion is strictly limited. Torture, re-education camps, and imprisonment under unacceptable conditions are rather the rule than the exception.
