Today, we gather here in Beijing's Tiananmen Square as Falun Gong practitioners from 10 countries. We are here to appeal on behalf of tens of thousands of innocent people who suffer imprisonment, torture or even death at the hands of their own government in China.
The principal Foreign Affairs spokesperson of the Liberal Democrat Party in the UK, Menzies Campbell MP, recently signed an Early Day Motion in support of a campaign for a 21 month old girl who has been denied a passport by the Chinese Embassy simply because her parents practice Falun Gong.
(Clearwisdom.net) The Apple Daily carried an editorial on November 17, 2001, which commented that for the last eight years, Hong Kong has been continuously evaluated as the world's freest in terms of economic regions. The Special Chief Officer and all the other high-ranking officials feel very proud and gratified. Everyone says that Hong Kong is a place of freedom, but how much political freedom is there in Hong Kong?
