On the morning of September 11, 2001, America was attacked by terrorists. Two airplanes that had been hijacked crashed into the World Trade Center in Manhattan, New York City (CNN photos) at about nine o'clock this morning. Before noon, the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center had collapsed one after the other. The number of casualties cannot be determined at this time. Telecommunications in certain major areas of New York City are down, electricity and water has been cut, and transportation has been seriously disrupted. On June 18, 2001, the Wanjia forced-labor camp illegally organized an "extended detention meeting" for female Falun Gong practitioners in the dining hall of Team No. 9.... The evil atmosphere of the meeting was intense. Twenty women were tied up, hands behind their backs, each restrained by a male and a female guard on either side. It seemed as if they were sending these practitioners to be executed.
"If you sue us, we will kill you." These chilling words were the conclusion of a violent attack on Falun Gong practitioners that seemed to belong more to the streets of Beijing than to the streets of Chicago.
