Falun Dafa Practitioner Fu Yingxia from Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province Is in a Life-Threatening Condition after a Nearly One-Month-Long Hunger Strike
In June 2003, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Fu Yingxia was arrested at a Zhaoyuan City Falun Dafa materials-producing site, and was detained and secretly interrogated as a felon. While in detention, she went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal persecution and tried to clarify the truth to her persecutors, displaying Dafa practitioners' great benevolence and forbearance. The "610 Office"* staff used various means to brutally torture her, including forcing her to sit on the "Tiger Bench,"** piercing her hands with bamboo sticks, hitting her and beating her feet with a club. The extent of the persecution against her was so severe that even one policeman commented, "They are so heartless. This torture is too horrible to witness." But with righteous thoughts, Ms. Fu Yingxia was able to escape this torturous place.
Dafa Practitioner Wang Shaohua Suffers Persecution in the Shengli Oil Field

Mr. Wang Shaohua is a 39-year-old staff member of the Well Cementation Company of the Huanghe Well Drilling Corporation located in the Shengli Oil Field in Shandong Province.
Since July 20, 1999, the company has continuously attempted to brainwash him, but he firmly maintained his belief in Falun Dafa. In 2000, the directors of the company sent him to work in Xinjiang Autonomous Region [a remote area in northwest China]. After arriving in Xinjiang, Wang Shaohua was illegally detained by the local police for handing out truth-clarifying materials. He was sent back to Shandong Province in January 2001 and was isolated within the company to be brainwashed.

"The 110 Emergency Hotline Is Set Up for Us"
A Falun Dafa practitioner in a certain city was abducted and sent to the local "610 Office"* brainwashing class. When a family member brought daily necessities to him, the head of the "610 Office" arbitrarily detained the family member in the brainwashing class and asked her to cooperate with them to brainwash the practitioner. Confronted with this emergency situation, the family member called the 110 Emergency Hotline [similar to calling 911 in the USA]. When the 110 personnel arrived they did not uphold justice. Instead, they cooperated with the "610 Office" in detaining the practitioner's family member. Later, the "610 Office" head said in a reprimanding tone, "Let me tell you, the 110 emergency hotline is set up for us (to persecute Falun Gong)!"
