Investigation Lead: There will be over 200 kidneys available around May 1, 2007, in the Shenyang region

According to patients in the No. 2 Hospital at the Harbin Medical University in Heilongjiang Province, more than 200 patients have been admitted to the hospital for kidney transplants. Doctors announced, "[Patients] can go to Shenyang for kidney transplants because a batch of 'criminals' are to be executed during the May 1, 2007, period, and therefore kidney sources will be available."

Think about it: kidneys for transplants need matching. If there are more than 200 patients waiting for kidney transplant, how large must the hidden live organ bank be? How many "criminals" would have to be "executed" during the May 1 period? To anyone with a discerning eye, this is nothing but a sheer lie about the criminals. It cannot be ruled out that the Chinese Communist Party has never stopped organ harvesting and it is now making excuses again for their killing of practitioners for organs to make a profit.

Investigation Lead: Oral account from an ordinary citizen

"My older brother has made lots of money in the last few years. He owns ten houses. He is a skilled kidney transplant surgeon. If someone wants to have a kidney transplant, he can guarantee that he/she gets one. He has access to another masterful surgeon in Beijing who will fly over on a phone call. It is very mysterious. The Beijing surgeon will arrive here as soon as he receives a phone call. They have a set system."

I asked, "Where do they get the kidneys?" He replied, "They are from those who have been executed." I said, "There can't be so many people who are executed." He said, "Most of the kidneys are purchased from the courts and the police system. It is very expensive to buy a kidney. They are extremely evil in terms of making money. My older brother is very busy every day. One morning I took a stroll in the backyard of the China-Japan Union Hospital in Changchun City and saw a heart they took out of a person for transplant that was still beating. As I watched in amazement a nurse came over and asked me, 'Who are you?' I said, 'I'm here to take care of a patient.' She said, 'Go, go, go. You are not supposed to see this place. Don't ever come here again.' She then pushed me away."

Investigation Lead: Yue Zhongjin from the Second Affiliated Hospital with Lanzhou University has performed 216 live kidney transplants in the last six years

On March 20, 2007, Gansu Daily carried a front-page article by correspondent Ma Jiaojun with the title, "Treating Life as His Mission." The article gave a comprehensive account of the "advanced deeds" of Dr. Yue Zhongjin, director of Urinary Surgical Department of Second Affiliated Hospital with Lanzhou University.

One paragraph in the article deserves attention:

"One day in September 2000, 'the first kidney transplant surgery with the donor being a relative of the patient was performed in our province, and this was the beginning of such transplants in the operation room of the Second Affiliated Hospital at Lanzhou University. To date, Yue Zhongjin has successfully performed 34 kidney transplants with donors being patients' relatives, placing him as the top surgeon in the five provinces and regions in the Northwest. He has also performed over 250 surgeries of different types of kidney transplants."

Those "advanced deeds" unwittingly revealed a major secret: in a period of six years, Dr. Yue Zhongjin personally performed over 250 kidney transplant operations. Apart from the 34 surgeries where the patients' relatives are the donors, where did the kidneys for the remaining 216 transplant surgeries come from? Did they have anything to do with live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners? This deserves the attention of the international community and an investigation.

Investigation Lead: Bo Ai Hospital in Changchun City, Jilin Province, has abundant kidney sources

Bo Ai Hospital in Changchun City, Jilin Province, has abundant kidney sources. One of my relatives personally saw doctors performing two kidney transplant operations in one day while being hospitalized there. One of two patients used four kidneys to match this blood type. His operation cost 80,000 to 100,000 yuan. However, the surgeon was not an employee of the hospital but from somewhere else. The hospital provided the operating room. It was kept secret who the surgeon was.

Investigation Lead: First Hospital of Jilin University in Changchun took four organs from one body and performed four organ transplant operations on four patients

At just past 8:00 a.m. on February 21, 2007, First Hospital of Jilin University in Changchun performed four organ transplant surgeries on four patients at the same time. The organs were taken from a "donor" in the basement of the hospital. The transplants were for a kidney, heart, liver, and cornea. All the organs were taken from one donor.

One of the recipients was a 25-year-old university student, Liu Xiangwei. He had a heart transplant. From his admission to the hospital to the blood type matching was less than a week. He had surgery at 8:00 a.m. on February 21, 2007. At 9:00 a.m. the next day, the heart was being rejected. Liu Xiangwei died.

The surgeon's surname was Liu, and he was invited to do the operation from Fuwai Hospital in Beijing. For the operation, Liu received 50,000 yuan bonus cash from patient Liu Xiangwei's family. The names of the other three surgeons from Beijing are being investigated.

Liu Xiangwei was a fourth-year student at a university in Beijing. Prior to the surgery, his family had petitioned the City Evening newspaper to help with fundraising because of the high cost of the surgery, which his family could not afford. The paper also reported the process of the surgery, as did a TV station in Changchun City.
