New Zealand MP: Eutelsat Must Immediately Restore NTDTV's Broadcast (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) On June 16, 2008, Eutelsat suspended New
Tang Dynasty Television's (NTDTV) broadcast with a pretext of a
"power supply anomaly," on the W5 satellite transmission to China.
During press interviews on July 15, New Zealand Green Party MP and
spokesperson Mr. Keith Locke and secretary of the Kiwi Party,
Bernie Ogilvy, condemned the Chinese Communist regime's suppression
of freedom of the press. Mr. Keith Locke called for Eutelsat to
immediately restore NTDTV's satellite broadcast.
Japan: People in Sapporo Support Signature Drive Calling for an End to the Persecution
(Clearwisdom.net) At the end of June, during the busy
tourist season in Hokkaido, the G8 Summit was held in the city of
Sapporo. Falun Gong practitioners responded to the call for the
global signature drive against the persecution and organized a
local signature drive in Sapporo. The "Millions of Signatures
Global Campaign" was initiated by the Coalition to Investigate the
Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG), to appeal to Beijing to end the
persecution of Falun Gong before the Olympic Games in August 2008.
