(Clearwisdom.net) We have learned from the Fa that there is Fa on different levels, and the higher the Fa, the closer to the ultimate truth; the lower the Fa, the further from the ultimate truth. But when faced with specific problems, we often hold on to our own understandings, think our own way is the best, and criticize others. We forget that we should assimilate with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, treat others with compassion and tolerate all fellow practitioners on different levels and in different cultivation states.
During a small group rescue effort for a fellow practitioner, I saw that another practitioner, the detained practitioner's wife, was dominated by sentimentality, and I criticized her. The rescue effort went on for quite some time without success. The practitioner wanted to submit gifts and take the police to dinner in exchange for her husband's release. She was at the end of her endurance, and she could not bear the pain any longer.
Seeing her so sad, I suddenly enlightened that I am a cultivator, that I should understand another's ability to endure and that I should not be too critical. I recalled Master's words in "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.:"
"That's why they look at the results, and if the result of a God's idea can achieve the goal, if it can truly achieve it, then all of them will go along with it. That's how Gods think. Also, if there's something lacking in it they'll unconditionally and quietly supplement it to make things more complete and perfect. That's how they handle things."
That was the first time that I learned that I should let go of myself. I told her with concern and understanding, "On different levels there are different ways. However you want to approach this situation is fine, as long as your husband does not write a guarantee statement, and no one writes it for him (for that is an eternal sin), and no evil extortion is paid, I will cooperate with you."
A plan was followed but to no avail. I helped them write a letter, which was to be passed on to the detained practitioner as a family letter. When he read the letter, he immediately recognized his omission. In those few days, another practitioner and I handed out a compassionate local persecution truth-clarification flyer. We had strong righteous thoughts to quietly supplement our one body's shortcomings, and we hoped that our rescue effort would soon be successful. In less than two days, the police called his family to pick him up.
His non-practicing family member told us upon his return home, "Falun Dafa practitioners are like army leaders: you can plan a battle strategy. You won the battle easily while some used so much money in vain."
I learned a big lesson: our one body should keep strong righteous thoughts and not emphasize ourselves, but rather understand each other, tolerate each other, and look at things with righteous thoughts to quietly make up for where we are lacking.
