(Clearwisdom.net) Today's report relates persecution incidents that took place in 11 cities or counties in seven provinces. Four Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during detention, and at least 14 practitioners were arrested.
1. [Tianjin] A Falun Gong Material Production Site in Beichen District Damaged and Several Practitioners Arrested
2. [Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Personnel from the Songyuan City Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Shao Changpu and Ms. Fu Lihong from Fuyu County, and Mr. Xu Peng and Ms. Teng Xianru from Songyuan City on April 21, 2008. They are held in the Shanyou Detention Center.
3. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Tan Shuhua Arrested
Sixty-three-year-old Ms. Tan Shuhua from the Dongguashan Area in Changsha City was arrested a month ago for distributing Falun Gong flyers in Pozi Street.
4. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhang Xiufang Arrested
Sixty-year-old Ms. Zhang Xiufang was arrested and taken to the Meizhou City Detention Center at 3:00 p.m. on January 8, 2009.
5. [Baiquan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Gao Zhenjiang Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor and Held at the Shuihua Forced Labor Camp
6. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yufen Arrested
Ms. Wang Yufen from Zhuozhou City was reported to police and then arrested on January 8, 2009. She is being held at the city detention center.
7. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Li Mei Held in a Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Li Mei from Hefei City is a judge from the city's Intermediate Court. Officials from the court colluded with personnel from the city's 610 Office and arrested her at her home in June 2008. Ms. Li was first held in the Qingfengyuan Hotel and then transferred to the Nanhu Forced Labor Camp in Anhui Province.

8. [Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yan Jirong and Ms. Shao Zeguo Arrested
Police from the Shanting District, Zaozhuang City arrested Mr. Yan Jirong and his wife Ms. Shao Zeguo on November 24, 2008. They took the couple to the Yulou Detention Center on the afternoon of November 25. The police and officers from the district's Education Department went to the couple's workplaces, Ganshiqiao Primary School and Shangyan Primary School, and forced the principals to write self-criticizing statements.

9. [Beijing] Three Practitioners Arrested
Personnel from the Shunyi District Shengli Police Station arrested Mr. Zhang Baojin, his wife Ms. Zhang Jinying, and Ms. Zhang Fengyun on December 19, 2008.

10. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Persecution of Ms. Li Xiulan and Ms. Yue Dingxiang
Personnel from the Chengguan District Court in Lanzhou City sentenced Ms. Li Xiulan and Ms. Yue Dingxiang. The women were held in the Lanzhou City No.1 Detention Center. They were sentenced to seven years in prison on December 10, 2008. Officials notified the practitioners' families of the verdict on December 25, 2008 when the time for appeals had passed.
Ms. Li and Ms. Yue were taken to Gansu Province Women's Prison on January 6, 2009. Two regular detainees monitored each of them and often beat them.
11. [Yingde City, Guangdong Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
Police arrested 30-year-old Mr. Li and a 50-year-old woman from Shakou Town, Yingde City on the afternoon of January 9, 2009. The arrest took place when they were distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying CDs in front of Shakou Town School. They are held at the city detention center.
