(Clearwisdom.net) On Saturday evening (Jan 24) Divine Performing Arts New York company and Divine Performing Arts International Company joined forces in presenting the Chinese New Year Splendor and won high praises from audiences from all social sectors, including many well-known western and eastern artists.

Renowned film actress Shen Guanglan from mainland China said during an interview after watching the show that the show has presented purity, kindness, brightness, prosperity and hope; it gives people a feeling of bright prospects and a feeling of elevating. It not only purifies the souls and hearts, but has also brought hope to people and shown them the way to return to what is beautiful. She said that people should live in such peaceful environment in the first place.

People should live uprightly on this land

Shen Guanglan said the show was "excellent, very beautiful and pure, and the brilliance it displays belongs to the Chinese nation and is very unique."She said,"The whole show is very peaceful, and the dances are very lively and inspiring; at the same time, it makes people feel very peaceful at heart."Ms Shen was also very impressed with the color scheme of the show, "The colors of the backdrops harmonize very well with the costumes, and give people a very pleasant feeling. The whole color scheme of the show, from the very beginning, gives people a feeling of brightness and prosperity and a feeling of hope. It makes people feel this world should be bright with sunshine and beautiful and people should live uprightly on this land."

The show purifies the souls and hearts,enabling people to return to the beauty of nature

Shen Guanglan also spoke highly of the backdrops. "The design of the backdrops has also added much luster to the show. The sky is so blue, the water is so clear,the flowers are so beautiful and the pasture is so green."

She went on and said,"[The world] originally was a land of purity created by divine beings, but now it is ruined by people to such an extent. A world created by gods absolutely cannot be trashed like this. The performance can stimulate mankind's memories and pursuits; the hope for living better , the world to be more peaceful, instead of continuous fighting and persecution. The show encourages people to hope for the world to return to the original land of purity."

Ms Shen Guanglan felt the show also "purifies people's souls and hearts"and "It embodies virtues such as friendliness, peacefulness, serenity and kindness,"she said."It enables people to return to nature from a noisy and busy environment today. Human nature should revert to the original kindness and peacefulness. People should live in such an atmosphere."

This is the first time I have seen a performance so beautiful

Ms. Shen said that stories of the monkey king and Mulan are well known to all in China, and they are a part of the Chinese nation's spiritual heritage,but she said, "This is the first time I have seen them being unfolded in such a serene and beautiful environment."

The essence of Chinese Culture Arts

Ms Shen Guanglan had learned folk dance and ballet in the past and has an astute professional ability to appreciate dance."I have watched many many dances. The dances in this show, be it Tibetan dance or Yi dance, they are all simple,unadorned and resume the original form of ethnic traditional dances, unlike some other shows that try to please the audience with claptrap and exaggerations. This show restores the original ethnicity which is the real essence of Chinese culture arts, "She said,"I've seen so many performances that contain to much claptrap. This show has presented genuine authentic essence of the Chinese traditional culture, very pure and simple, and has restored the originality of what it should be. This is what depicts the real beautify of the show. Heaven and earth should be this beautiful and human beings should live in such a peaceful environment."

Ms Shen Guanglan thinks the show presents spiritual connotations such as purity, sincerity, kindness, brightness, prosperity and hope, "The show has brought us hope, something people long to see, a kind of pleasant return to the original."

Shen Guanglan, a renowned film actress, graduated from the Department of Performing Arts of Beijing Film Institute. She used to work with the Zhujiang Film Production Company and has nearly 30 years of performing experience in films, TV production and stage production. She also performed in the TV series "A Native Beijing In New York." Since she migrated to the US, she has worked in NY Apple TV and Japan's Fuji TV station.
