(Clearwisdom.net) Selling tickets for the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) performances requires the cooperation between practitioners in different countries. This is a serious factor if we are to do well. Otherwise, we will not realize the full value of the experience, and we may end up with a small return for our hard efforts. Personally, I think that the concept of cultivating ourselves with the requirement for accomplishing solid results is not the same as a concern for efficiency.
The DPA group uses the form of artistic performances to save sentient beings. It includes factors from both everyday human life and the life of practitioners advancing in cultivation. On the human level we must meet the standard of business practice in order to demonstrate professionalism. The way tickets are sold must reflect a high standard in business practice consistent with the high artistic standard of the DPA shows.
Of course, selling tickets supports Fa-rectification. However, it is not like other activities carried out in society. While we demonstrate professionalism in our business conduct, we are not attached to it. What we do pay attention to in ticket selling is sending righteous thoughts. This is what enables us to pass tests and use limited resources for saving more sentient beings.
Speaking of cultivation, I think it is appropriate to say that the Fa remains the same whether we are clarifying facts in Flushing or selling tickets in New York. The main point is that every activity is for our cultivation. Since it is cultivation, for any problem we face we must put forth our understanding of the Fa in our hearts to dissolve it. This is the most basic point, because when we are in line with the Fa, evil forces will not dare to interfere. On the other hand, if we have a conflicting heart, and desire to prove ourselves, or to attach to human methods, we will generate interference from the old forces. Most likely then the results will not even be as good as a regular business; for one, we are not experienced business people.
In Flushing, some people were directed by evil spirits to interfere with Fa-rectification activities. If we send forth righteous thoughts to dissolve the evil in other dimensions, instead of confronting the people themselves, the people will change their conscience and not want to interfere with Fa-rectification activities. By the same token, if we do not let go of our own attachments, the evil spirits will make use of our loopholes, and we will be inefficient in our actions, and lose out in our efforts to save sentient beings.
The best way to cut losses is to look inwards at our own heart nature, to align ourselves with the Fa, and to send forth righteous thoughts to clear out evil spirits in other dimensions. As practitioners, we must stay in line with the Fa while acting normally in human society. Just talking about these subjects will not bring benevolence. We must watch our thoughts and deeds.
