Chinese Dancer: First Class Show in Every Respect
Ms. Wang Mei came from Yantai, Shandong Province. She and her boy friend, Steve Bortnyck, saw the show together. Ms. Wang was trained in Chinese ethnic dances since childhood, and she competed in provincial level dance shows. Mr. Bortnyck is a project manager in SCA, an international marketing service company. They were interviewed during the intermission.

Ms. Wang said, "The dancers, the backdrop, and the music are all superb--they are truly first class. I have never seen such beautiful a backdrop before. To be honest, I have never seen any show in China that comes close to this one. I've also seen many shows in the US, some of them from China, some American. The DPA show is clearly the best!
"The quality of the performance, the program contents are all excellent. My favorite part is the girls' dances, such as "Welcoming Spring" and "Mystical Phoenix." I was a dancer that specialized in ethnic dances. Their beautiful dances remind me of my youth. DPA show also presented China's ancient culture, such as dances of the Tang Dynasty. They are very special and elegant."
Ms. Wang added: "I saw some newspaper articles about DPA show performing in France and Germany. So I became very interested. That's why I bought tickets this time. I am so glad that I have finally seen the show."
Mr. Bortnyck agreed to his girl friend: "DPA is truly outstanding. The show is simply brilliant. I love it very much. The dances reflect ancient tradition of China. I can appreciate their unique style. My favorite shows are "Welcoming Spring" and "Drummers of the Tang Court". I am trilled to watch the show here."
"I think this is a very high class show. I will definitely recommend it to others. The show captivated my heart." said Mr. Bortnyck.
Chinese Visitor: The DPA Show Deeply Touched My Heart
(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Yang recently came from China to Dallas to visit his relatives. He couldn't stop saying nice things about the Divine Performing Arts show. He emphasized to the reporter that his strongest feeling was "fresh and touching. In today's turbulent world, many contemporary arts are superficial and full of commercialism. In contrast, the DPA show is pure and fresh." He said that he was deeply touched. The show gave him a pleasant feeling, and also made him think.
Mr. Yang: The DPA show is like a breath of fresh air and it touched people's hearts
Mr. Yang came to the show after his friend told him the show reflected "true compassion" and "pure beauty." He said, "Divine Performing Arts is true to its name. The words 'compassion' and 'beauty' are not just words; they are the true nature of this company. That is why the DPA show can touch our hearts."
Mr. Yang also admired the producers who put the show on stage. He said, "The traditional stories are familiar to Chinese people throughout history. The main characters are household names in China. What's special here is the storytelling, through well-coordinated music, dance, costumes and backdrop. The producers brought the ancient stories alive. Especially the dynamic backdrop design--it is so real and exciting."
Mr. Yang loves traditional Chinese culture, and he found the values behind DPA exactly what he believes in. He felt extremely fortunate to be able to see the show during the Chinese New Year season.
During the intermission, Mr. Yang and other spectators went to see the musicians in the orchestra pit. He thought the orchestra was fantastic in the way that they combined traditional Chinese musical instruments with Western instruments, and he thought their music very beautiful and unique.
Mr. Yang is a pharmacist in China. He believes that beautiful music and traditional arts are good for body and soul. In his opinion, the whole world, especially China, badly needs these. He sincerely hopes DPA will one day perform in China. "The Chinese people deserve a high quality, high profile show that they have been deprived of for years."
