(Clearwisdom.net) On January 16, 2009, the police from Yinan County, Shandong Province arrested eight Falun Gong practitioners and ransacked their homes. On the morning of January 17, Ms. Wang Hongmei, a practitioner from Jiehu, Yinan County, was arrested by the police at her home. The police also confiscated her money and other property. Ms. Wang Hongmei is now being illegally detained.

At approximately 5:00 p.m. on January 15, Mr. Meng Fanjiun and Mr. Leng Weinian, practitioners from Bojiadianzi Village, Hutou Town in Yinan County, were arrested by police at their homes. The police also confiscated their property.

On the afternoon of December 25, 2008, officials from the local 610 Office and Police Bureau arrested Ms. Xue Li and took her to the County Police Bureau. They also ransacked her home and confiscated her laptop, printer, truth-clarification DVDs, and a number of truth-clarification materials.

On December 14, 2008, Ms. Ren Shumei, a practitioner from Andi Village, Andi Town, Yinan County, was arrested by police from the local police station and her home was also ransacked. She is now being detained in Yinan County Detention Center.

On November 19, 2008, officers from Yinan County Police Bureau arrested more than 30 practitioners at Ms. Wang Xi'ai's home in Suijiadian. Among these practitioners, 19 were arrested and then released, but 16 are still being detained in Yinan Detention Center. They are: Ms.Wang Xi'ai, Liu Jianhua, Ms. Wang Xilan, Ms. Liu Naixun, Ms. Li Changfang, Ms. Zhi Fuqin, Ms. Wang Deju, Ms. Wang Ailing, Mr. Sui Shuchang, Mr. Qi Yichun, Mr. Li Changbao, Ms. Meng Xianglan, Ms. Meng Xiangling, and three practitioners from Yishui County--Ms. Li Jizhen, Ms. Sun Qingxiang, and Mr. Yan Peiguang. The families of these practitioners have been there more than once to request the release of their relatives, but they were all cursed and interrogated by Ma Chenglong, Commander of the Domestic Security Division. The authorities refused to release these practitioners.

On December 25, 2008, Ms. Li Jizhen and Ms. Sun Qingxiang, practitioners from Yishui County, were sentenced to two-year terms of forced labor and sent to Jinan Women's Labor Camp. Mr. Yan Peiguang was sentenced to one year of forced labor and sent to Wangchun Labor Camp. Informants said that some of those detained practitioners from Yinan County would possibly be sentenced to forced labor.

According to incomplete statistics, from July 20, 1999 to present day, CCP officials from Yinan County have illegally confiscated and destroyed more than 100,000 Dafa books plus Dafa materials. They have held vicious brainwashing sessions to persecute 130 practitioners and extorted 460,344 yuan from them. They have ransacked the homes of 35 practitioners 43 times and confiscated 7 desktops, laptops, and 13 sets of printers, DVD recorders and copy machines. They have taken 1,250 kg of grain, frozen 3 bank accounts, and confiscated numerous items and other property. During the past 9 years, 109 practitioners have been detained 171 times, and 40 practitioners have been sentenced to forced labor 43 times. There is evidence that 1 practitioner has been injured as a result of persecution, 2 practitioners have been persecuted to death; 2 practitioners have become mentally disordered from persecution, and 21 practitioners have become homeless. Moreover, the CCP officials and police relentlessly harassed practitioners under the pretext of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Before the 2008 Olympic Games was held, they arrested 11 practitioners and secretly sentenced 10 of them to forced labor.
