(Clearwisdom.net) Today's report relates persecution incidents that took place in 13 cities or counties in seven provinces. Twenty-three Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during detention, and at least 33 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Mr. Pan Yujun, a practitioner from Laizhou City in Shandong Province, was arrested again in August, 2008. He is still detained in the Laizhou Detention Center. He has been on hunger strike since he was arrested. Several times his life was at risk and he only survived after emergency treatments. The police force feeds him once a week. Mr. Pan Yujun is now emaciated and cannot walk. The police have tortured him with the tortured method "Big Hang Up" twice. Mr. Pan Yujun was tied up for twenty four hours. His family is still forbidden to visit her, despite many appeals and requests.

At midnight on March 4, police arrested Mr. Wang Wenzhang, a 55-year-old practitioner from Fuhe Village, Baiyu Township, Xifeng County, and his family. The police confiscated their belongings. They are detained in the Xifeng County Detention Center.

In 2000, Mr. Wang Wenzhang was sentenced to one year of forced labor at the Tieling Labor Camp because of practicing Falun Gong. His youngest daughter was also sentenced to one year of forced labor and once detained in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

On March 5, 2009, two male practitioners from Jilin City, who are 70 years old, were arrested while they were clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to fellow townsmen in Shulan City. They are detained in the Nanshan Detention Center in Shulan City.

On March 2, 2008, Ms. Pang Zhengying, a practitioner from Lushuihe, Fusong County, Baishan City, was arrested. She is being detained in the Changchun Police Hospital. Due to torture, Ms. Pang Zhengying suffered from hysteromyoma. Her back was injured from the torture and has been fixed by steel plates. Now the screws on the plate have protruded, so she walks with great difficulty. Her life is in danger. She has shown many other symptoms, including heart disease, anemia, pneumonia, nephritis, and high blood pressure of 160-260.

On March 6, 2009, the police arrested six practitioners from Liuhe County, Tonghua Region, Jilin Province. The police from the Tonghua Region conspired with police from Liuhe County. In a well-coordinated effort, they acted simultaneously in their arrest of practitioners. They ransacked the practitioners' homes. Mr. Sun Yinqi and his wife Ms. Yang Jing, Mr. Zhu Chunhe and his wife Ms. Chen Hongyu, Ms. Zhao Guihua, and Mr. Sun Fengqin are detained in the Liuhe County Detention Center. After Mr. Zhu Chunhe and Ms. Chen Hongyu were arrested, their young child was left alone at home.

Mr. Wang Xinchun, a practitioner from Jinshantun District, Yichun City, has been firm in his belief in Falun Dafa since July 20, 1999. The local police tortured him many times. In 2002, Mr. Wang Xinchun was paralyzed from the torture. Despite that, the police continued to harass him. Mr. Wang Xinchu appealed to the local court on March 4, 2009, accusing the local police of illegal persecution.

Dafa practitioners who are detained in the Changchun Heizuizi Labor Camp are forced to work from 5:30 am to 9:30 pm daily. Despite the hard work, they are given only rice, cold vegetable soup and some sauce. When journalists visited the labor camp, the guards ordered practitioners to lie and say that they work only six hours daily. The guards threatened firm practitioners with term extensions.

Due to long-term torture and hard labor, Ms. Song Weixiang is suffering from heart problems and dizziness.

On February 17, 2009, officials from the local 610 Office, police from Canzhuang Town Police Bureau and government officials went to Hebei Lijia Village, Canzhuang Town to arrest practitioners. They tore truth clarification flyers exposing the persecution of Falun Gong from the walls. Moreover, they forced non-practitioners who had the flyers pasted to their doors to tell who put them there. They said that they got the couplets from Ms. Wang Qingxia. That same afternoon, Ms. Wang Qingxia was arrested. She is being detained in the Linglong Brainwashing Center, Zhaoyuan City.

On February 28, 2009, Ms. Lao Ren and Ms. Zhang Tongmei, practitioners from Weifang City, were arrested. The police, conspiring with a nurse in the emergency center of the hospital, lied to Ms. Zhang Tongmei by claiming that her husband was in an accident. They then arrested Ms. Zhang Tongmei.

On February 28, 2009, the police arrested Ms. Xu Yanzhen and ransacked her home. She is being detained in a detention center.

On February 27 and 28, 2009, the police arrested many practitioners from Gaomi, Shandong Province. The following are some of the arrested practitioners: Ms. Zhao Tingxiu, Ms. Song Fang, Mr. Xue Jianxin, Ms. Mao Yongfang, Ms. Mao Yongchun, Ms. Cai Yuzhen, Mr. Guo Hongfa, Ms. Zhao Xiuyun, Mr. Tang Lianhong, Ms. Zhang Guizhi, Mr. Xue Jiagui and his wife Ms. Guo Yulan, Mr. Li Shijie, Mr. Wang Tongtian, Ms. Yan Li, and Ms. Jing Xia. The police also ransacked the homes of these practitioners, who are now detained in a detention center.

About 6:00 am on the morning of February 28, 2009, the police from Kangzhuang Town went to the home of Mr. Guo Hongfa and his wife Ms. Zhao Xiuyun in Lijia Village. They confiscated their laptop, printer, Dafa books, truth-clarification pamphlets and DVDs. The police then took them to a detention center.

About 8:00 am on February 28, 2009, the police from the Nanguan Police Station arrested Mr. Tang Lianhong and his wife Ms. Zhang Guizhi and took them to a detention center. The police had been laying in ambush earlier at the garage from where Mr. Tang Lianhong left for his factory. The police ransacked their home and factory, confiscated their two computers, fax machine, DVD recorder, private car, DVD player, approximately 30,000 yuan RMB, truth-clarification pamphlets, Dafa books, DVDs and other items.

At about 6:00 am on February 28, 2009, the police from the Nanguan Police Station arrested Mr. Xue Jianxin at his grain shop. They took him to a detention center. They ransacked his home and confiscated his two computers, mini copy machine, DVD player, Dafa books and other items. His wife Ms. Yu Hongxiu was also arrested and taken to Nanguan Police Station. She was released at 12:00 pm that day.

At 6:00 am on February 28, 2009, the police arrested high school teacher Ms. Mao Yongfang, Ms. Mao Yongchun, her husband and son and took them to the Nanguan Police Station. Ms. Mao Yongfang and Ms. Mao Yongchun are being detained in a detention center. Ms. Mao Yongchun's family members were released. The police ransacked Ms. Mao Yongfang's home and her tea store. They confiscated her computer, copy machine, DVD player, DVD recorder, private car, Dafa books, truth-clarification DVDs, deposit book and other items.

About 6:00 am on February 28, 2009, the police from the local Communication Police Station arrested Mr. Xue Jaogui, a high school teacher, and his wife Ms. Guo Yulan. The police took them to a detention center and ransacked their home. They confiscated their computer, DVD recorder, Dafa books, truth-clarification DVDs and materials, cash and other items.

On December 9, 2008, Mr. Zhang Qushan, a practitioner from Ximao Village, Qicun Town, Shahe City, was arrested at home. Around New Year's Day he was taken to Handan Forced Labor Camp. He was still on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. He is detained in the Special Group of Handan Forced Labor Camp.

During the New Year holidays, the police arrested Mr. Xie Guodong, a practitioner from Nanchang City, while he was putting up the truth-clarification materials in Qingshanhu Community, Nanchang City. The police took him to the Dongjiayao Police Station and detained him in the Nanchang City No. 1 Detention Center.

Mr. Yang Jinmiao and his daughter Ms. Yang Hairong, who are practitioners from the Pudong New Area of Shanghai, have been detained in the Pudong New Area Detention Center since they were arrested in June, 2008. They were illegally tried and sentenced on February 11, 2009. Without evidence, the Pudong New Area Court sentenced them to a three and a half year prison term. Mr. Yang Jinmiao and Ms. Yang Hairong have appealed to the No. 1 Intermediate People's Court.
