Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.
Former President of Changchun Daily Newspaper Corporation Meets With Retribution After Publishing Slanderous Articles
Wang Kun, a 55-year-old woman and member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), was the former president of the Changchun Daily Newspaper Inc. During her tenure at Changchun Daily Newspaper, she dutifully parroted the CCP's propaganda regarding Falun Gong. She often emphasized to managers, supervisors and CCP members that they were forbidden to practice Falun Gong. Under her direction, Changchun Daily and the Changchun Evening Newspaper published or reprinted many articles slandering Falun Dafa.
The workplace that Wang Kun managed also was affected -- bribery became a common practice in the company. Seven to eight top people at the newspaper have been put under investigation by the Judicial Department. Wang was fired from her position and was being investigated for corruption. Last year during the Chinese New Year, she died of cancer.
