(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioner Ms. Yu Chuancheng is being held in the Wanyaoshu Detention Center in Panzhihua City, where she has been brutally tortured. In recent days her systolic blood pressure has reached 210, her feet have swollen, and her left hand has become numb.

At around 8:00 a.m. on February 17, 2009, over a dozen police officers, including Duan Qing, forcibly entered the homes of Ms. Yu and several other practitioners: Mr. Mu Jianchang (age 62), Mr. Liu Shibo (age 48), Mr. Tang Zhiguo, and Ms. Li Suying. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated their personal belongings, including Falun Gong books, exercise videos, and other materials that exposed the persecution. They also arrested Ms. Yu, Mr. Mu, Mr. Liu, and Mr. Tang, and detained them at the Dadukou Police Station. The practitioners were tortured with tiger benches during interrogation.

At 5:00 p.m. that same day, the police covered the practitioners' heads with black plastic bags and transferred them to the second and third floors of the Jingu Hotel in downtown Yanbianxin for further torture and interrogation. Over a dozen officials participated in the torture, including Qiu Tianming, chief of the State Security Division of the Panzhihua City Police Department; Zhang Bolin, director of the local 610 Office; Duan Qing, chief of the Crime Investigation Division; and Gong Lin, an officer from the East District Police Department. They formed three groups and took turns interrogating the practitioners in an effort to force them to disclose where the Falun Gong materials had come from and the names of the contact practitioners.

Duan and Qiu slapped Ms. Yu's face and threatened her repeatedly during the torture. Nonetheless, she refused to cooperate. In the early morning of February 18, 2009, they cuffed Ms. Yu's hands behind her back. Duan raised her hands high and let them fall sharply against her back. He then pushed her to the ground. Duan and Qiu put a photo of Mr. Li Hongzhi, Falun Gong's founder, on the ground and forced Ms. Yu to sit on it (which practitioners consider an insult to Mr. Li). Ms. Yu struggled to avoid sitting on the photo, but the two men lifted her and slid the picture beneath her. Ms. Yu cried while condemning their shameless actions, but the men just laughed. Duan also lifted Ms Yu's feet and dropped them so they would hit the photo. Since Ms. Yu had refused to cooperate, Duan and another officer, Huang Yongjin, took her to a conference room, tied her hands behind her back with ropes, and hung her in front of a blackboard.

Ms. Yu was in extreme pain, and her sweat dripped onto the floor. When she was about to lose consciousness, they took her down and shackled her to a steel chair. Duan was on duty during the night, and he threatened Ms. Yu and deprived her of sleep by forcing her to stand the entire night.

On the evening of February 20, 2009, after torturing the practitioners for three days, the police sent Ms. Yu, Mr. Mu, and Mr. Liu to the Wanyaoshu Detention Center in Panzhihua City. At the end of February, Mr. Mu was taken away for another interrogation.

On March 3, 2009, Duan and Huang brought Mr. Liu to the sixth floor of the Dadukou Police Station. They slapped him, tied his hands behind his back, and hung him from a window frame. They tortured Mr. Liu for several hours before sending him back to the detention center. On March 5, Duan and Huang brought Ms. Yu to the sixth floor of the Dadukou Police Station for another round of torture. They did not send her back to the detention center until 6:00 p.m.

The State Security Division and the 610 Office of the Panzhihua City Police Department participated the persecution described above. The officers included Quan Qing, Huang Yongjin, Qiu Tianming, Zhang Bolin, and Gong Lin.
