(Clearwisdom.net) I started cultivating Falun Dafa fourteen years ago, in 1995. During that time, I've had many experiences and some tests that I didn't pass well. I'd like to share an experience that demonstrates the protection I experienced because of my belief in Teacher and the Fa. This happened between me and the party chief at my work prior to the Beijing Olympics.
When I got to the office on June 15, 2008, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) chief came and threatened me saying, "I'm giving you a notice. During the Olympics, you're not allowed to go out of town. You have to come to work every day on time and call in on the weekends and holidays." (That was to prevent me from going to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong.) I answered him calmly and seriously, "How can that be possible? What's your reason? Don't you also go places?" He didn't think that an honest person like me could openly ask such a bold question. He hesitated for a while and said, "I don't go anywhere." I replied, "It's impossible for you to not let me go anywhere. Going out or not going out is my right, and I'm free to choose." Seeing that I was neither haughty nor humble, he meekly said, "It's the orders from above and I'm only doing what they told me to do." I answered him with a question, "If they asked you to commit an unjust murder, would you do that too?" He wasn't able to answer my question and only stammered, "If the United States invaded China, I would kill." I firmly and rightly said to him, "You're the head of our office and you should represent us. I haven't done anything wrong, just like everyone else. Why should I be treated unfairly?"
He couldn't come up with an answer for a little while, and I kept looking at him waiting for a response. It seemed like the air was frozen and everyone in the office was listening to our conversation without interrupting. Finally, he had no alternative but to find an excuse. Looking embarrassed, he said, "Well, well, well, please do me a favor. Don't go anywhere." He walked right out and closed the door behind him. That was our first encounter.
About three weeks later, he came to our office again. I kept sending forth righteous thoughts while he was trying to find something to say. After standing there for quite a while, he finally said, "Practice at home, don't go anywhere." Without giving him anymore chance to speak, I said, "Do not repeat this demand again and again." Before he could say anything more, I raised my voice and told him twice, "Don't say anything, don't say anything." He got embarrassed and said, "You're smarter than I am." Then, he left dejected. Right after he left, my colleagues said to me, "We were very concerned for you. There was another Falun Gong practitioner here who got arrested a few days ago. He was taken out of town for brainwashing. So far we haven't heard any news about him." They also said, "Our CCP chief is so vicious. When the CCP first started persecuting Falun Gong practitioners in July 1999, he closely followed Jiang's gang in doing numerous evil things. What went wrong with him today?"
I was quite clear about what had happened to this vicious CCP chief. It was all because of our compassionate Teacher's protection. Without Teacher and Dafa, how could a timid person like me protect Dafa practitioners' rights?
Looking back at what I've been through all these years, I've had so many feelings. Every step of mine involved Teacher's painstaking efforts. Every step involved Teacher's careful arrangements and was full of Teacher's passionate nurturing. Without all this, I wouldn't have been able to have come to this day. With all this, I have been able to break through every barrier on the path of my cultivation. I am sure that I will never be able to repay what Teacher has done for me.
