(Clearwisdom.net ) Six Falun Gong practitioners were unconstitutionally prosecuted by the Hejiang County Procuratorate in Luozhou City, Sichuan Province, on March 25, 2009.
On September 10, 2008, Wei Fengming, Luo Shuizhen, Song Degui, Wu Xianzhen, Wu Derong, and Gui Dalv went to distribute "truth-clarifying materials" in Hejiang County, which led to their arrest. After six months' detention, agents from the Hejiang County Procuratorate prosecuted them.
Practitioners in Luzhou had clarified the facts for the past six months to authorities in Luzhou City. Relatives of the detained practitioners petitioned again and again and told the authorities that practitioners are all good people, and asked that they stop persecuting them. The Hejiang County legal system turned a deaf ear to their pleas. Following are the particulars:
Mr. Wei Fengming, 55 years old, used to work as a bus driver. He was arrested at his home in 2004 and detained for two years. He was cruelly tortured in Mianyang Prison in Sichuan.
His wife, Ms. Luo Shuizhen, 54, used to be a construction worker. In 2001she was held for eight months at Luzhou Detention Center. She suffered severe mental and physical mistreatment for clarifying the truth. She was subjected to forced labor three times between 2001 and 2007 and suffered inhumane abuse at Nanmusi Forced Labor Camp in Sichuan for those six years.
Ms. Song Degui, 73, is a rural resident in the Jiangyang District in Luzhou. In 2001 when the Chinese Communist regime aggressively persecuted Falun Gong, local police and the 610 Office agents took her to a brainwashing center. Her handicapped daughter was left with no one to care for her, and she became destitute and mentally disturbed. During Ms. Song's second detention, the brainwashing center cut off contact with her daughter, who was again left without care, food, and water. Her daughter was extremely fearful and in pain and died somewhere outside a few days later. No one knew for three days that she had died.
Ms. Wu Xianzhen, 59, used to work as a teacher in the countryside in the Naxi District. Her students and their parents loved and respected her very much. Agents from the 610 Office arrested and took her to a brainwashing center on January 23, 2001. While in detention, she was locked in a small cell. She was subjected to maltreatment and mental pressure. Ms. Wu was incarcerated for two years and eight months. Her home was ransacked in December 2007, and she was again detained.
Ms. Wu Derong, 58, is a rural resident in the Naxi District in Luzhou. The 610 Office took her to a brainwashing center in January 2001. They detained her in various places and cut off contact with her family for two years and eight months. In March 2004 local police agents and those from the 610 Office again made her life miserable. They subjected her to forced labor for one year and three months.
Ms. Gui Dalü, in her 60s, is retired from a southern Sichuan mining district. The 610 Office in the Jiangyang District in Luzhou took her to a brainwashing center in 2001. They arrested her again in October 2002 and subjected her to one year of forced labor.
Practitioners in Luzhou continued to clarify the facts to rescue people, even when they were suffering severe persecution themselves.
