Personnel from the Guilin Street Police Station broke into the Humanities Department of the Northeastern Normal University and illegally arrested Ms. Lei Xiaoting on the afternoon of March 19, 2009. They put her into the Changchun City Detention Center and then ransacked her home. The police confiscated many items. The persecutors interrogated Ms. Lei under torture, handcuffing her arms behind her back and brutally beating her. Ms. Lei has been on a hunger strike for four days and is hospitalized now.

After Mr. Wang Chaodong was arrested, he was sentenced to four years in prison. Officials from the Shenyang City Intermediate Court's No.2 Sub-court held a so-called "paper trial" instead of an open trial and maintained the original verdict. Mr. Wang has been held in the Shenhe District Detention Center for 11 months.

Officer Li Yong from the Xingou Town Police Station arrested Mr. Hu Jiancheng from Hanchuan City on the morning of March 3, 2009. The arrest happened when Mr. Hu distributed Falun Gong flyers on his way to a vegetable market. The practitioner was held in the Jinghe Detention Center for 15 days, and police claimed they would sentence him to forced labor. This is his second arrest. The last time was in November 2001, when Mr. Hu was sentenced to one year of forced labor in the Shayang Forced Labor Camp.

Guan County Court officials held a trial for Mr. Wang Hongchao on the afternoon of February 18, 2009. His family members went to the court, but police stopped them outside. After the trial, Mr. Wang's lawyer told the family that the judge did not show any evidence, but conducted the trial based on speculation and slander.

Police had confiscated Mr. Wang's two electric cars, a motorcycle and a DVD player, worth a total of more than 10,000 yuan.

Personnel from Mibei Township in Xiong County ransacked Ms. Zhai Rui'e's home, arrested her and confiscated a computer, a printer and some CDs on the afternoon of March 20, 2009. They even took Ms. Zhai's mother-in-law's pension money. She is held in the county detention center. Later on, police summoned her husband Mr. Liu Zhongli, but fortunately he was not at home. He is living in exile now.

Ms. Liu Bo was arrested on March 8, 2009 and is held in the Hehuachi Brainwashing Center.

A policeman arrested 52-year-old Mr. Zhao Qiming on March 20, 2009 when he distributed Falun Gong flyers. He is held in the Democracy Square Police Station.

Police arrested 40-year-old Ms. An Jinting, an employee of the Shenze Oil Company in Hebei Province, on March 22, 2009 when she distributed Falun Gong flyers. She was transferred to Shijiazhuang City that night.

Personnel from the Huangshanpu Town 610 Office arrested Ms. Li Xiuying from Longshanguan Village on the morning of March 19, 2009. They put her into the county detention center.

Personnel from the Fanzhuang Police Station and from the Zhao County Police Station broke into Mr. Sun Xingwei's home in his absence and confiscated his computer on the night of March 21, 2009. They arrested Mr. Sun as soon as he returned home and put him into the county detention center.

Qijiang Police Station Patrolling Group deputy head Luo Jin and other officers have arrested at least three practitioners in the Guiyuan District, Zhongshan City since 2007.

Personnel from the Lingqiao Police Station in the Pudong District arrested Ms. Lu Lingdi and Ms. Huang Guizhen on March 17, 2009. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated Dafa books and truth-clarifying materials. The two are held in the Zhangjiang Detention Center.

About seven policemen from the Liancheng Township 610 Office in Mengyin County broke into Mr. Biao Qiutian's home and confiscated truth-clarifying materials on March 17, 2009. They arrested Mr. Biao's wife and put her into the county detention center.

Prior to this, the police arrested Mr. Shen Chengkun and his wife and Ms. Lei Weifeng. Each of them was extorted for 8,000 "yuan" and later released.

The persecutors also ransacked a practitioner's home in Dye Company.

Several practitioners have been arrested in Kazuo County since July 20, 2008. Nine of them were held in the county detention center for eight months and then secretly sentenced from four to ten years of incarceration. They are Mr. Liu Shufeng, Mr. Yun Guolin, Mr. Wang Zhangang, Mr. Yan Zhifu, Mr. Zang You, Mr. Fan Zhenguo, Mr. Gao Fengshan, Ms. Liu Shulan and Ms. Ren Guilan. The male practitioners are held in the Daheishan Prison in Jinzhou City, and the women are in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

Mr. Wu Guoyou from Chenyuan Town, Songming County, Kunming City was sentenced to three years of forced labor in 2001, and later to another three years in a forced labor camp.

Personnel from the county 610 Office and from the town police station arrested Mr. Wu again and ransacked his home. They put him in shackles and handcuffs and took him to the county detention center.

Mr. Yang Haozhong was arrested on February 25, 2009 and held in a detention center for two weeks. He was later released after being extorted for 1,000 yuan.

Officer Gao Feng and others from the Shanan Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Wang Tianyu, a retired employee from the Zhoukou City Oil Company, on January 4, 2009. Police confiscated her cell phone. Reportedly, someone called Ms. Wang, but police intercepted the phone call and arrested the caller.

Personnel from the Huai'an City Police Department arrested Mr. Chen Hongzhu at 3:00 p.m. on March 23, 2009. They confiscated his house key and ransacked his home. The police confiscated a computer, a picture of Master, an MP3 player and a copy of Zhuan Falun. Mr. Chen is being held in the police department.

Personnel from the Jushan Police Station arrested Mr. Wang Mingji from Mengyin Town in Mengyin County when he requested Ms. Liu Guimei's release from the police station. He is being held in the county detention center.

Police broke into a practitioner's home in Daigu Town, Mengyin County and confiscated truth-clarifying materials and a cell phone.

Police from Duozhuang Town, Mengyin County not only ransacked a practitioner's home, but also the practitioner's son's home.

Linzhou Court officials sentenced Ms. Feng Junhong, Ms. Shen Meilin and Mr. Yang Jianjun on January 14, 2009. The practitioners have appealed. Personnel from the Anyang City Intermediate Court were to hold a trial for them on March 31, 2009.

Ms. Deng Ren explained the facts about Falun Gong in her workplace, the Shijiazhuang City Technology Bureau. The bureau officials, her father, her husband and personnel from the Hebei Province 610 Office forcibly put her into a brainwashing center.

Cang County Court officials put five practitioners held in the county detention center on trial at 9:00 a.m. on March 24, 2009. They are Mr. Pu Jinfeng, Ms. Zhao Junfeng, Ms. Liu Rujun, Mr. Zhang Kanzhong, and Mr. Li Bing'an, as well as Mr. Li Fuhang, who had been released on bail for hospitalization. The trial lasted about three hours.

Ms. Shu Juan from Nanchang City was arrested for explaining the facts about Falun Gong in her own shop. Officers from the Hongdu Police Station ransacked her home and confiscated a computer. Ms. Shu is held in the Nanchang City No. 1 Detention Center. This is her fourth arrest.

Personnel from the Cao County Domestic Security Division ransacked about a dozen practitioners' homes in early March 2009. They arrested Ms. Liu Shuying and Ms. Zhu Wenlan.

Personnel from the Zhaoyuan City Television and Broadcast Bureau, from the Jinling Town Broadcast Station and from the town's police station arrested Ms. Yu Hong and ransacked her home at 10:00 a.m. on March 24, 2009. She is held in the Lingnan Gold Mine Brainwashing Center.

Policemen from Yuanjiang City have arrested several practitioners and ransacked their homes since March 9, 2009. The practitioners are Mr. Zhang Qingquan, Mr. Tian Bingyan, Ms. Wang Qingxiang, Mr. Xiao Ruilin, Mr. Wu Yunlin, Mr. Xie Lijun and his wife, Mr. Wang Zhiwei and Mr. Lan Zhenghua and his wife.

Mr. Tian was on a hunger strike and was released on March 22, 2009. Mr. Zhang was also released. Mr. Xiao had been arrested in 2002 and then held in a prison for five years, followed by a year of forced labor in the Zhuzhou City Forced Labor Camp. He had just been released before this arrest. His whereabouts are unknown. Mr. Xie and Mr. Lan are held in Yiyang City. Mr. Wu and Mr. Wang Zhiwei are held in a local prison.

Police arrested Ms. Liu Lihua and her husband Mr. Sun Xunqing from the Fushan District in Yantai City.

Personnel from the Beihai City 610 Office and from the Hepu County 610 Office surrounded the home of Mr. Li Zhong and his wife at 5:00 a.m. on March 18, 2009. They broke in and arrested the couple. Later on the police arrested Ms. Lai Yunhui. The three practitioners are held in the Pingyang Drug Rehabilitation Center for brainwashing.

Ms. Lai's husband is living in exile to avoid persecution, and Ms. Lai leads a difficulty life alone with her daughter.

Longshanguan Village secretary Wang Fuliang led five officers from the Huangshan Town Police Station to break into Ms. Li Xiuying's home and arrest her on March 18, 2009. She is held in the Yishui County Detention Center.

Longshanguan Village head Feng Fugao led policemen to arrest Ms. Li on December 8, 2008, but she fortunately escaped. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Dafa books.

A plainclothes policeman arrested 68-year-old Ms. Li Lanqin, living in No. 3-103 Room, No.7 Building in Yutanbei Street, the Xicheng District, and 74-year-old Ms. Yu, living in No. 5-103 Room in the same building, on March 2, 2009. They were taken to the Beihai Police Station. The police ransacked the two practitioners' homes and confiscated many Dafa books, 600 yuan in cash with truth-clarifying massages written on it, a computer and two removable disks. Reportedly, the two are being held in a "reformation center."

Mr. Li Youliang, 77 years old, lives in the Sidaoqiao Community in the Zhenxing District, Dandong City. Personnel from the Sidaoqiao Police Station arrested Mr. Li in July 2008. His whereabouts are unknown.

Four policemen arrested Ms. Wu Xiaoxia at her home in the Daguang Oil Field Caiyou Community and ransacked the place at 9:00 p.m. on March 21, 2009.

Thirteen practitioners held in the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center in Lanzhou have been on a hunger strike for several days to protest the persecution.
