(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 7 provinces. In this report, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Huhehaote City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhang Tao Arrested on the Morning of April 19, 2009

In March 2009, Ms. Guan Hongfen of the Kunming Steel Company was arrested. She has been sent to the Dabanqiao Forced Labor Camp for a two-year term.
3. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] More Information about the Arrest of Ms. Zhang Xiuying and Other Falun Dafa Practitioners
On April 21, 2009, Ms. Zhang Xiuying, Ms. Dong Guifen, Mr. Wang Yong and Mr. Chen Xiaoheng went to the home of Ms. Ling Li one after another. All of them were arrested after leaving the home. Ms. Zhang Xiuying was taken to the Jinbi Police Station in Kunming City. She was let go after her family went to request her release. Now she is under surveillance around the clock. Mr. Chen Xiaoheng was detained in the Xishan Detention Center in Kunming City for one week. He was released on April 28, 2009. Mr. Wang Yong was taken away from school after he finished his class. His whereabouts are unknown. Ms. Dong Guifen was taken along with Ms. Ling Li from Ms. Ling's home. Now Ms. Dong Guifen is being detained in the Xishan District First Detention Center. Ms. Ling Li's whereabouts are unknown.
4. [Chongqing City] Mr. Xiong Guotai Arrested
On the morning of April 30, 2009, police from the Kai County National Security Team and the Hanfeng Police Station went to the home of Mr. Xiong Guotai (65 years old) and arrested him. They also took away a laptop, Dafa books, pictures of Master Li, etc. In the afternoon, his wife, daughter-in-law and younger brother went to the police department to ask for his release. He went back home that night.

Ms. Wang Ming'ai lives in Aishanqian Village, Tanbu Town, Mengyin County. She was detained for over one month. She was released after having 10,000 yuan extorted from her.
6. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xiao Jianrong, Mr. Zhang Conggan and Other Practitioners Arrested
At 4 p.m. on April 25, 2009, police from the Qingliu Town Police Station in Xindu District followed Ms. Yang Luqing to Shuanglin Village, Dafeng Town. The police, accompanied by a dozen policemen from the Dafeng Town Police Station, broke into the home of Ms. Xiao Jianrong. They took away pictures of Master Li, Dafa books, flyers about Falun Gong, etc. Ms. Xiao Jianrong, Mr. Zhang Conggan, Ms. Yang Luqing, Ms. Yu Guifang and Mr. Zhang Erba were arrested. That night, Mr. Zhang Erba was released. The other four practitioners are being detained in the Xindu District Detention Center.
On April 29, 2009, police from the Dafeng Police Station and the Xindu District Police Department searched the homes of Ms. Xie Baoqiong, Ms. Chen Yizhen and Ms. Xiang Qunying. They took away Dafa books, flyers and VCDs about Falun Gong, a tape recorder, etc.

8. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Qin Zhengxiu Arrested
At 10:30 a.m. on May 4, 2009, Ms. Qin Zhengxiu was arrested while she was explaining the facts about Falun Gong at one end of the Jinyan Lake Bridge in Guanghan City. Now her whereabouts are unknown.
9. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yanqin Severely Persecuted at the Third Division of Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Liu Yanqin from Qingyuan County, Fushun City is being detained in the specially monitored group of the strictly monitored class, which is under the Third Division of Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. As a result of persecution, her right hand cannot close into a fist, and the five fingers of her left hand are pale.

Mr. Wu Tonglin, 54, lives in Daan County, Jilin Province. On March 15, 2009, he was arrested by the local police. On March 23, 2009, he was forcibly sent to the Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp in Jiutai City.
11. [Tianjin City] Ms. Wu Xiaoxia Sentenced to 18 months in the Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp
12. [Wangcang County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Peng Yueheng Sentenced to Prison Again
Mr. Peng Yueheng from Wangcang County was sentenced to four years in prison in 2001. After being released, he taught his daughter to practice Falun Gong. However, his ex-wife reported him to police. He had to leave home and went to Chengdu City.
In April 2008, Mr. Peng went to Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province. On August 8, he went back to Sichuan to pick up his daughter. On the way, he was arrested by police from the Guangyuan Police Department. In November 2008, he was sentenced to four and a half years in prison by the Wangcang County Court.
13. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qi Shuyan and Ms. Yan Xihua Arrested
On the afternoon of April 25, 2009, Ms. Qi Shuyan and Ms. Yan Xihua were arrested by officers of the Xiangyang Police Station while they were distributing flyers about Falun Gong. Now they are being detained in the detention center.
14. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Yang Xiurong Arrested
At 4 p.m. on April 27, 2009, Ms. Yang Xiurong was arrested by the Songshan District National Security Team. Her home was also searched.
