(Clearwisdom.net) The Truth-Compassion-Forbearance International Art Exhibition has been held at over 200 venues in over 40 countries. On May 18, 2009, the exhibiton arrived in Pingtung County, southern Taiwan, for a 14-day run at Fang Liao High School. The day before the exhibition, Udumbara blossoms appeared at Fang Liao High School. In Buddhist sutras, Udumbara flowers blossom once every three thousand years and their blossoming is a sign of Buddha coming to the world to offer salvation.


Xiao Yaozong, Principal of Fang Liao High School, and Chen Yumin, President of the Representatives of the Parent-Teacher Association, uncovered a painting titled "Unity of Heaven and Man" at the opening ceremony.


After enjoying the paintings at the exhibition, students and teachers called out, "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is good" and were photographed together.

The artworks in the Truth-Compassion- Forbearance Art Exhibition were created by 15 artists from different countries. These artists gained good heath and spiritual enhancement through practicing Falun Dafa. Through this practice, they came to develop their wisdom, which allowed them to discover answers about their true selves, life, and the universe, which in turn complemented their artistic pursuits. Through their artistic skills, they have portrayed the inner beauty of Falun Dafa and the stories and experiences of Falun Gong practitioners. They wish to show the world the richness and the depth of their practice.

The opening ceremony on May 18 began with the soul-stirring sounds of the Tianwei Tang Drum Team. Xiao Yaozong, Principal of Fang Liao High School, and Chen Yumin, President of the Parent-Teacher Association, uncovered a painting entitled "Unity of Heaven and Man" at the opening ceremony. A video clip introducing the meaning of the different paintings was also played. Many audience members cried when they watched the introduction to the painting, "Homeless" and realized that the sad little girl had lost her parents in the persecution.

Many people came to the exhibition. Government officials from the Fang Liao area sent flowers to congratulate the exhibition and thanked the host for bringing the exhibition to the small town of Fang Liao.

Principal of Saichia Elementary School: Exhibit Awakens People to the Truth and Purpose of Life


Yang Chiu-nan, Principal of Sao Chia Elementary School,expressed the hope that the exhibition can awaken people to the truth and purpose of life.

Yang Chiu-nan, Principal of Sao Chia Elementary School, on behalf of the exhibition's organizer, the Falun Dafa Association, expressed the hope that the exhibition can help bring back the virtues missing from today's society. He also hopes that the paintings can awaken people to the truth and purpose of life; and resurrect the noble virtues of human nature such as honesty, benevolence, and justice.

He also understood why every member of the Tang Drum Team exuded the same harmonizing energy, because they aspire to the realm of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance. Principal Xiao said he would finish the Falun Dafa book a friend gave him as soon as he got home and hoped to become a practitioner of Falun Dafa.

Chief of Police Bureau: Exquisite Painting Skills Express Peace and the Realm of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance


Chen Shi-Huang, Chief of the Fang Liao Police Bureau, praised the exquisite painting skills of the artists in the exhibition.

Chen Shi-huang, Chief of the Fang Liao Police Bureau, was impressed when he saw the old lady in the painting, "Before the Parade," who's focus was on sewing the banners used in parades to raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong. "I cannot see a bit of fatigue on her face. Instead it shows peace and contentment," said Chen. "The painter expressed the realm of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance with his exquisite painting skills."

Principal of Fang Liao Elementary School: An Important Course in Education


Li Jing-juan, President of the Xinyuan Single Parents Association, and Chen Wen-jun, Principal of Fang Liao Elementary School, uncovered the painting, "Coming for You" at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

Chen Wen-jun, Principal of Fang Liao Elementary School, brought the teachers and students of the school to see the exhibition. Chen said that the education circle should pay more attention to teaching social morals and responsibilities. He believes that schools should make Truth-Compassion-Forbearance an important course for educating the next generation. Such a teaching would be of great help to children's moral education and to saving the current chaotic society.

President of Single Parents Association: The Dauntless Power of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance Is So Moving

Li Jing-huan, President of the Single Parents Association, was moved by the painting "Tears of An Orphan," which portrays a little girl's anguish as her parents were murdered in the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. She holds her parents' urn and tears fall down her cheeks. Li wondered what kind of power could make the child's parents face the evil fearlessly and risk letting their own child becoming an orphan. Li decided to learn more about the teachings of Falun Dafa.

To promote the exhibition, Tianwei Tang Drum Team held a parade in the streets of the Fang Liao area. Their drums attracted many passersby and spread the beautiful Dafa music to every corner of the little town.
