(Clearwisdom.net) On May 25, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners from the New York area participated in the annual Memorial Day Parade in Queens, NY.
This was the first time that Falun Gong practitioners took part in this parade, which started in 1927 and has become one of the biggest Memorial Day parades in the United States.
The Divine Land Marching Band, consisting of more than 100 Falun Gong practitioners, performed as part of the Falun Gong contingent. Many people were attracted by the band. They took photos and accepted truth-clarifying materials. People praised their professional performance.
Practitioners also performed a traditional Chinese fan dance and played the waist drums.
Ms. Yi Rong, a Falun Gong practitioner, said she was very happy that so many people, including many Chinese, enjoyed their performance. She hopes that more people can appreciate the beauty of Falun Gong and learn more about it.
