(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

On March 24, 2009, the Qianjiang Public Security Bureau in Chongqing City sent police to pursue Falun Gong practitioners who posted truth-clarification banners. On their way back, the car drove off a five-hundred-meter cliff. Two police officers died instantly. Two others were injured, one in critical condition.

On March 16, the police from Xianfeng County, Hubei Province, illegally arrested practitioners. Because the practitioners posted Dafa banners from Xianfeng County all the way to the Nanhai area of Chongqing City, the Xianfeng Public Security Office notified the Qianjiang Public Security Office to investigate the situation further. The four policemen dispatched included Sun Hao, Ruan Hua. However, the locals denied any knowledge of how the banners came to be displayed.

On their way back, the officers were involved in an accident near Maliuling Village, Daluba Town, Xianfeng area at around eleven o'clock. The car drove into a deep ravine. Two officers died at the scene. Both of them were in their twenties. Another officer who was mildly injured fired his gun for help. He was rescued by passers-by.

Yan Xiguo was the former head of Boshan area, Zibo City, Shandong Province. He had been actively following the Chinese Communist Party in persecuting Falun Gong. Being corrupt and greedy, he violated laws for his personal interest. Furthermore, he introduced a project that caused heavy environmental pollution. As a result, conditions in the Boshan area worsened dramatically and many people developed leukemia. In 2008, over the objection of locals, he became the secretary of the Zichuan area in Zibo City. He suddenly died around that time.

According to insiders,Yan had liver cancer and died on the operating table during a liver transplant.

Deputy Secretary Gou Huaming was forty-nine years old. Since July 20 1999, he had been constantly harassing Falun Gong practitioners and tried to forced them to write materials attacking Falun Gong. He sent police to ransack their homes and forced their workplaces to withhold their salaries. Gou attacked and slandered Dafa, and tried to incite hatred toward practitioners among the local people.

Gou Huaming became ill at the end of January of 2001. After spending several hundred thousand yuan of government money, he died of lung cancer in March of 2005.
