(Clearwisdom.net) During the Beijing Olympics, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) ransacked three practitioners' homes in our village. What ended up happening to each practitioner turned out to be very different. Practitioner A was reading her books at home when a dozen people broke in and started ransacking the room. They even went up on the roof. However, they did not find any Dafa related materials. I asked her what she was thinking at that time. She said, "I did not think anything. I read my books again after they left."
Practitioner B's home was ransacked in the same way. However, all of her Dafa materials were taken away, she was arrested, and she still has not been released. Her relatives have spent thousands of yuan trying to bail her out, but the Communist agents have not yet released her. The agents demanded another 10,000 yuan, threatening to report her to a higher authority to get her sentenced. Because Practitioner B has a fear of being persecuted, she rarely went out to distribute materials. In recent years she always thought there were people following her and watching her, and that once any evidence (of truth clarifying materials) was found, she would be reported. As a result, on sensitive days, she would hide her Dafa materials, although her family members did not like her hiding things. This elderly practitioner is a good member of society. She always made meals for others, but she would eat last. However, anything that is done beyond the balance is an attachment.
After the police ransacked the first two practitioners' homes, they went to Practitioner C's home. Practitioner C was not at home, though the police went multiple times. Up until late in the evening, the party official told the village officials to keep checking to see if Practitioner C was home. They found Practitioner C but did not ransack her home. After a few days, they went to her home again, but she was not there. In the end nothing happened to Practitioner C. In recent years, no one ever went to Practitioner C's home. She never accepted the persecution. When people see practitioners being detained and having money extorted from them, she reasoned, it could affect their belief in Dafa's greatness and keep them from being saved. Also, the place where Buddha lives should not be disturbed by evil. However, this time her name went on the black list. She said she had had a bad thought: she always thought about what she should say and do when the evil came. This meant that she had started to accept the persecution, become fearsome, and was showing off and pursuing fame. She knew it was not right, but she could not let go of this thought. It could be the reason for her name appearing on the black list.
Three practitioners were faced with the same situation, but the results were different. One thought can differentiate between human and divine, separating heaven and earth. What kinds of thoughts, what kinds of attachments caused the differences? During the Beijing Olympics, some practitioners stopped clarifying the truth and hid their books. They thought it was not safe. As a matter of fact, nothing is safe using ordinary means.
