(Clearwisdom.net) Since December 2008, Singapore Divine Land Marching Band has been going to Johor Bahru, a neighboring city in Malaysia, to perform in its communities and shopping malls. The band's unique style and drums and trumpets playing ear-pleasing melodies have left a very favorable impression on local residents. Several large supermarkets and shopping malls invited the Divine Land Marching Band to perform for their shoppers on June 6 and 7, 2009.

On the evening of June 6, members of the Divine Land Marching Band, also Falun Gong practitioners, gave its first show in a supermarket. A large crowd poured in to watch the performance because it was a weekend. The band played many music pieces including "Falun Dafa Is Good," "Fa Drums and Fa Trumpets Shake the World in Ten Directions," "The Fa Rectifies the Universe," "Delivering a Treasure," "Joy to the World," "Holy Law-Wheel King," "Buddha Mercy Sacred Music," and "Ode to Joy." The performance won warm applause from the audience. The host provided beverages for all the members after the show.
At night on the same day, the Divine Land Marching Band gave additional performances in other supermarkets and shopping malls. On June 7, the band performed in a crowded large shopping mall in Johor Bahru at 2:00 p.m. The band played "Falun Dafa Is Good" three times. Many were attracted by the uplifting melody. One cashier had tears in her eyes. Many people followed the band upstairs for more performances.
After performing in three supermarkets, the band members went to a food court to have dinner. They found that there were hundreds of Chinese people from Singapore and Malaysia dining there. They decided to give a performance for them. After the manager of the food court agreed, the band immediately started performing.
Upon hearing all the band's members were Falun Gong practitioners, a Chinese man who believed in the Chinese Communist Party's slanderous propaganda against Falun Gong made a scene and shouted to disturb the performance. After he quieted down, a band member gave him informational materials about the facts of the persecution of Falun Gong in China. He learned how Falun Gong practitioners were tortured in the persecution after reading the materials and he then thanked the band member.
The performance ended at 9:00 p.m.
