(Clearwisdom.net) I started practicing Falun Gong on October 30, 2008, and have been practicing for only six months. I was born in 1979, and am now 30 years old. I grew up exposed to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) poisonous propaganda, and regarded myself as a steadfast atheist before I became a practitioner. The unemployment rate was high when I graduated from college. The Chinese government encouraged college graduates to start their own businesses. With ambition, passion and a dream, I started a new business with friends, and later a factory. After a few years, I hadn't made any money, and had developed several illnesses.

In the winter of 2007, I made a business trip to Tangshan. I met a Taoist sitting next to me on the train, a woman in her 50's. Because I helped her carry her bag onto the train, she said, "Young man, you have a good heart." I learned that she was a Taoist cultivator. I had always enjoyed reading The Classics of Tao and Morality and was able to recite some passages, so we had a great conversation. During our chat, this lady cured me of cervical spondylosis and rhinitis with her supernormal abilities. I found it incredible and was shaken by the experience. I decided that I had been fooled by the CCP's poisonous atheist propaganda. She also had the supernormal abilities of precognition and retrocognition. She told me that the old lady in her 60's sitting across from us had once saved a little girl and was able to describe what the little girl looked like. The old lady was astonished, but confirmed what the Taoist said. The Taoist also had the supernormal ability of clairvoyance, and was able to describe the home decorations of the young man sitting across from us. The young man confirmed her clairvoyance as well. She also knew about fengshui. The experiences from this trip crushed my belief in atheism. I began to accept the concept of supernormal capabilities, but I had little understanding of them.

In October 2008, I visited my second oldest sister. My sister and brother-in-law are both Dafa practitioners, and because of this, their relationship with our parents had been tense. I was unemployed when I visited them, and was visiting because my brother-in-law was going to give me a job referral. On my way there, I was determined to persuade them to give up practicing Falun Gong, and decided to have a long talk with them.

My sister and brother-in-law "clarified the truth" to me, and encouraged me to quit the CCP and its two affiliated student leagues. However, I was skeptical about what they had told me because I had some unanswered questions. One day after my sister went out, I looked for books to read in my sister's bedroom. I immediately saw "Zhuan Falun". I thought to myself, "Let me take a look at what Falun Gong is about." I was immediately drawn to its content. I read the book from cover to cover in one night. I finally realized what treating illness with qigong and the supernormal ability of clairvoyance were about. I read Zhuan Falun again. I read the book three times in two days. I was completely basked in the bliss brought by Falun Gong. My brother-in-law also played for me Falun Dafa--Teaching the Fa to Australian Falun Dafa Practitioners. I hardly blinked when I watched the video. Teacher was full of compassion in the video. The Fa lecture is so profound. I completely changed my mind about Falun Gong. I no longer believe the slanderous lies in the hate propaganda in the Chinese media. I realized the feeling of a person willing to die in the evening without regret, if he learns the truth in the morning. I must have waited for the Fa for thousands of years! Like a man who has been thirsty and hungry for the Fa, I studied Teacher's Fa lectures and learned about the Falun Gong practitioners' historical mission.

That evening while I was studying the Fa, I saw Teacher's fashen in a yellow robe floating in the air above my left. After smiling at me for a few seconds, Teacher floated above my right side and said something to me. Teacher talked so fast that he sounded like a fast-forwarding music CD. Teacher must have been encouraging me.

Zhuan Falun cleared all of my misunderstandings about Falun Gong. With the help of my sister and brother-in-law, I started practicing Falun Gong in October 2008, and have transformed from a complete atheist to a Falun Gong cultivator.

Now that I have begun practicing Falun Gong, I know that Teacher is rectifying the Fa and that practitioners carry a historical mission to assist Teacher in his Fa-rectification. Soon, I started clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to people. I still remember the first time that I tried to explain the facts about the CCP's suppression of Falun Gong to two elderly men in my residence's community park. They accepted the truth about the persecution, but didn't agree to quit the CCP. They cautioned me to keep myself safe when I left the park. I knew that Teacher was encouraging me. Later I clarified the truth to my family, classmates, friends, colleagues and bosses. I have also clarified the truth to strangers on trains, buses, in school, hotels and in the park. Sometimes I make mistakes. Once, I lost a job because of my loopholes, yet I have been spared from the danger of being arrested because of Teacher's constant hints.

When I clarify the truth to people, I start with different topics depending on the age of my audience. If my audience is a young man, I start with a discussion about the challenge of finding employment during the economic crisis, then I change the topic to the social crisis in China, the CCP's tyranny, the persecution of Falun Gong and natural disasters. Finally, I talk about the CCP's inevitable doom and the urgency of quitting the CCP.

If my audience is a senior citizen, I start with the topic that interests elderly people the most - physical health. I then talk about Falun Gong's health benefits and the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. Then I talk about the CCP's continuous political persecution since it seized power, before I persuade them to quit the CCP.

I often go to the Minghui/Clearwisdom website to read fellow practitioners' cultivation insights, which I find very inspiring - especially those related to my "xinxing" tests that pertain to my family and my truth-clarification work.

I am a new practitioner with a busy schedule. I didn't know any fellow practitioners other than my sister and brother-in-law, so I had few opportunities to exchange cultivation insights with anyone. With a hint from Teacher, I decided to visit the Minghui website. However, I didn't have an Internet connection at home, so I went to an Internet cafe.

I went to the Internet cafe with trepidation at first, but I quickly remembered that Teacher told us that practitioners have supernormal capabilities. I sent forth righteous thoughts at first to make the CCP's Internet monitoring system stop operating. I also humbly asked Teacher for His protection. I have never faced the danger of being arrested while surfing the Internet at the Internet cafe. Since my first experience there, I now go there often to read fellow practitioners' cultivation experiences, which are very inspiring to me. In fact, I wrote this article at an Internet cafe.

When I face xinxing tests that pertain to my family and my job, I tend to tolerate and pass these xinxing tests better. However, I haven't responded well to more challenging demonic tribulations, such as attachments to sentimentality. I have at times gotten into arguments with people when clarifying the truth to them. I sometimes find myself too shy to initiate conversations. I also find myself losing calmness when I clarify the truth.

For the past six months, I've studied the Fa daily and continue to rectify my speech and action. I have been memorizing the Fa as well. I still have conflicts with my family, but I keep trying to do well. My wife has stopped complaining when she sees me studying the Fa, but it still upsets her when I practice the exercises. I am doing my best to balance family and cultivation. I know that the demonic tribulations I face are forced upon me by the evil elements from other dimensions. Teacher does not acknowledge them, nor do I. As long as I have adequate righteous thoughts, I shall prevail over all demonic tribulations.

I know that I am lagging behind fellow practitioners and must continue to study the Fa and cultivate solidly to catch up with them!

This concludes my humble cultivation insights for the first six months of my cultivation practice. My understanding is limited to my present level of cultivation. I would like to take this opportunity to thank revered Teacher for His compassion and salvation. I would like to thank fellow practitioners for their help. Teacher, please be assured that I shall be diligent in my cultivation practice to fulfill my historical mission as a Falun Gong practitioner, although I started practicing late.
