(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities and counties in 14 provinces. In this report, 32 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 22 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Antu County, Jilin Province] Practitioner Ms. Zhang Hongfeng Arrested and Taken to Antu County Detention Center

2. [Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Donghua Illegally Arrested
On April 8, 2009, Ms. Wang Donghua distributed Shen Yun DVDs at the No. 2 Retirement Apartments in Harbin City. She was reported to police and subsequently arrested. She is currently detained in the No. 2 Detention Center.
3. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wen Shujie and Mr. Xue Jilan Held in the Jilin Detention Center
On April 25, 2009, Ms. Wen Shujie and Mr. Xue Jilan were taken to the Jilin Detention Center for further persecution.
4. [Donggang, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Zhiqiu and Others Arrested
Ms. Jiang Zhiqiu is from Donggang. On April 22, 2009 at 9:00 a.m., she was persuading people to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) near a food market. She was reported and then arrested by police officer Wang Li and others. She is currently being held in the Donggang Detention Center.
Other practitioners also detained in the Donggang Detention Center are Ms. Zhao Guiqing, Mr. Song Jiwei, Ms. Leng Dongmei, Mr. Pan Wende, and Ms. Sun Juan, a total of six practitioners.

5. [Anguo City, Hebei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Zhao Yuran and Xiaoying Arrested
During the morning of April 30, 2009, Ms. Zhao Yuran and Ms. Xiaoying from Anguo were arrested by policemen from Qiaonan District, Anguo City. They are currently detained at the Anguo City National Security Bureau.

6. [Tianjin City] Ms. Sun Shuhua Sentenced to One Year in a Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Sun Shuhua is disabled and lives in Ji Town of Tianjin. She was arrested by officers from Sanxin and the National Security Office in Ji Town when she was at a market in Sanxin on April 15, 2009. On April 30, 2009, Ms. Sun was sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp by officials of the Ji Town 610 Office.
7. [Shandong Province] Ms. Li Guixiang Arrested
Ms. Li Guixiang from Shidaobeigou Village, Shandong Province, was reported as she clarified the truth at around 10:00 a.m. on April 26, 2009. She was then arrested by officials from the Zaoshidao 610 Office. Her home was illegally searched, and she was taken to the Rongcheng City Detention Center.
8. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Feng Xiaomei Holding Hunger Strike to Protest the Persecution
Ms. Feng Xiaomei is currently being detained in the police station in Gaocheng Town. She is holding a hunger strike to protest her maltreatment.
9. [Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Ms. Huang Lanying Arrested
At around 1:00 p.m. on April 23, 2009, Ms. Huang Lanying from Shijiazhuang, along with her mother, was arrested by Yucai street policemen. Her home was searched and her computer and other personal belongings were confiscated.
10. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wei Shuxia and Ms. Yang Zemei Arrested
On the afternoon of April 29, 2009, Ms. Wei Shuxia and Ms. Yang Zemei from Langezhuang Village, Yangzhen Town, Sanhe City, were reported as they clarified the truth near Nanguan Road. They were then arrested, and Wei Shuxia's home was searched.
11. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Additional Information on Persecution of Ms. Liu Jiyun
On the afternoon of April 25, 2009, Ms. Liu Jiyun (around 50 years old) from Xinji City was arrested by street policemen and officials from the National Security Office. She is currently detained in the Renqiu Youtian Detention Center.

12. [Dujiangyan, Sichuan Province] Ms. Su Jianhua, Ms. Su Xiaofang and Ms. Wang Ying Arrested
On April 26, 2009, Ms. Su Jianhua, Ms. Su Xiaofang and Ms. Wang Ying from the Ninth Division in Liujie Town, Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province, were arrested when they were clarifying the truth in Shiyang Town of Dujiangyan.
13. [Huili Town, Sichuan Province] Ms. Dong Xiuqing Arrested
At around 9:00 a.m. on April 28, 2009, the leader of the National Security Team ordered five security officers to break into Ms. Dong's home. They confiscated her book Zhuan Falun, weekly journals and an MP3 player.
14. [Shaodong City, Hunan Province] Ms. Luo Tongchun Arrested
Ms. Luo Tongchun from Shaodong was arrested at home at around 8:00 a.m. on April 18, 2009. Her three computers were confiscated. Ms. Luo is now being detained in the Shaodong Detention Center.

15. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Xiao Shuwei Missing
Mr. Xiao Shuwei, around 40 years old, from Wuhan, has been missing for over ten days. His family has searched for him everywhere, but to no avail.
16. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Xiaoli and Ms. Laowang Arrested
On April 18 and 19, 2009, respectively, Ms. Xiaoli and Ms. Laowang from Shenzhen were arrested by officials from the Shenzhen City 610 Office. Their homes were searched.
17. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Jiang Xuenong Arrested
On April 8, 2009, Mr. Jiang Xuenong from Wengnongteqiwudan Town, in the Mongolian City Chifeng, was arrested by Wongniuteqi police. He is currently detained in the Wongniuteqi Detention Center.

18. [Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yaqin Cruelly Persecuted
On March 13, 2007, Ms. Zhang Yaqin from Haicheng City was arrested by the city's national security officers [the 610 Office], when she was distributing informational materials about Falun Gong and the persecution. She was sentenced to four years in jail by officials of the Haicheng Police Station, the Justice Department, and the Procurator. She is currently being detained in the No. 9 Ward of the Women's Prison of Liaoning Province. She has been tortured and now has tuberculosis. She is very weak and was taken to the ward hospital.
Ms. Zhang Yaqin was once persecuted in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for two years, from 2002 to 2004, for clarifying the truth. In March 2006, she was arrested by Haiheng City's Beiguan police, and detained for fifteen days.
19. [Heilongjiang Province] Several Falun Dafa Practitioners Sentenced to Long Prison Terms
On August 8, 2008, several practitioners from Guyuanlinchang in Songling District of Daxinanling were sentenced to jail. Ms. Wang Yuhong was sentenced to six years, Ms. Li Yajuan to three years, Ms. Zuo Weiyan and Ms. Sun Lijuan to four years each, Mr. Yu Zhongzhu to six years, and Mr. Zhao Peijin to five years.
On April 27, 2009, Wang Yuhong and six other practitioners were transfered to the Haerbi Women's Prison in Heilongjiang for further maltreatment. On that same day, Yu Zhongzhu was sent to the Tailai Prison in Heilongjiang Province.
20. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Ms. Xu Meirong Arrested by National Security Officers
On April 25, 2009, Gao Feng, a National Security officer in Zhoukou City, illegally arrested Ms. Xu Meike and incarcerated her in the detention center.
21. [Hubei Province] Ms. Tang Dengmei and Mr. Yuan Xuejun Illegally Sentenced to Forced Labor
On November 23, 2008, Mr. Yuan Xuejun from Xianfeng in Hubei Province was arrested. On February 24, 2009, Ms. Tang Dengmei from Enshi City of Hubei Province was illegally detained. In late March 2009, two practitioners were secretly taken to a forced labor camp. Yuan Xuejun was taken to Hubei Shayang Forced Labor Camp and Tang Dengmei was taken to the Hubei Women's Forced Labor Camp.
22. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Yiping and Ms. Wang Yan Arrested on April 25, 2009
23. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Jin Rong Illegally Arrested
Ms. Jin Rong from Xian City, around 40 years old, was reported when she distributed information materials around the Children's Park of Lianhu District on April 27, 2009. She was arrested and has disappeared.
24. [Beijing] Mr. Luan Shujun Arrested
At around 8:00 p.m. on April 22, 2009, Mr. Luan Shujun from Beijing was arrested in his sister's home by Gaobeidian police officers from the Chaoyang National Security Office. These officers confiscated DVDs of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, an MP3 player, notebooks, and other personal belongings.
25. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Shiyou Arrested and Beaten
In April 2006, Mr. Wang Shiyou was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp by local officials of the 610 Office. In August 2008, Wang was arrested and taken to the No. 2 Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province. On April 20, 2009, he was still detained. During the night of April 7, 2009, policeman Wang Xinjiang beat Wang Shiyou.
26. [Huaiyang Town, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
On April 25, 2009, Ms. Yang Aimei, Mr. Li Tinglin and Ms. Wang Xiuping were arrested in front of the Huaiyang Town Detention Center by three plainclothes policemen from the Huaiyang Town National Security Office. Two hours later, Wang Xiuping was released. Several days later, Li Tingling was released as well, but only after they extorted quite a lot of money from him.
27. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Four Female Practitioners Sentenced to Prison Terms
Ms. Niu Jinhua, Ms. Du Xiuju, Ms. Geng Xiuhua, Ms. Zhang Shuang and an elder practitioner Liu (surname) from Xinpu District of Lianyungang City were reported when they posted banners explaining the truth about Falun Dafa at the Sucheng Attraction Point in 2008. They were arrested by police and taken to the Electrical Department's "training center." Liu was later released, but the other four practitioners were sentenced to prison terms of between two and six years.
28. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Suhua Arrested
On the afternoon of April 24, 2009, Ms. Li Suhua, 67, who lives at No. 22 Mazhen Street in Chengdu City, was arrested at home by officers from the Taishenglu Police Station.
