(Clearwisdom.net) On Friday June 12, 2009, some practitioners in Bulleen, Melbourne, Australia set up a stall in the Plaza to promote the local practice site.
One week before, two of these practitioners approached the centre management, clarifying the truth and requesting a space to promote the Dafa exercise site, which is walking distance from the Plaza.
The lady in the centre management said that although stall holders are meant to go through the casual leasing office at a weekly fee of $800, she would welcome the Dafa stall in the Plaza herself free of charge, as she understood there were financial constraints and she supported the principles of the practice, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Originating from a communist country herself, she condemned the persecution. She said, "If everyone followed Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, we wouldn't need to lock our doors."
Throughout the day, four practitioners clarified the truth and demonstrated the exercises at the stall space near the main entrance to the Plaza.
Most passers-by seemed not to know about Falun Dafa and the persecution in China. Many people wanted to know where the practice site was, and many others were interested in hearing about the persecution.
On five different occasions, passers-by asked if the practitioners doing the exercises were "real".
Some people sat on a bench for up to an hour watching very curiously the exercise demonstration. One elderly man, who sat and watched the full exercises without looking away, said, "What you do is so beautiful, I don't know how you do it." He took some coloured brochures about the practice and the persecution to read at home.
