(Clearwisdom.net) In November 2007, Ward No. 5 of the Fuzhou City Forced Labor Camp began to detain Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners were isolated and movement and speaking was restricted. Practitioners were barred from seeing their family members, and their mail was arbitrarily withheld. Practitioners were not allowed to make their own purchases, but they were required to fill out a form created by Ward No. 5 and staff would then carry out purchases for approved items. The ward staff interrogated, beat, tortured, and humiliated practitioners.
Lan Jinteng from Changting City, was transferred from Ward No. 5 to the isolated team by Warden Lin Zhang, to force him to "transform". Lin Zhang was beaten and threatened as a means to persuade him to write the so-called guarantee statement declaring that he would give up his belief.
Practitioner Huang Xiaobin from Quanzhou City, was called to the office by instructor Rong Ze and guard Wang Xiwen on December 25, 2008. While Huang Xiaobin was interrogated by Wang, Rong Ze verbally abused him, tied him up and beat him with an electric baton. When Mr. Huang escaped and ran into the hallway, Rong chased after him saying: "I want to see where you think you can escape to," and continued the verbal abuse. He stomped on Mr. Huang's face after he fell to the ground. The whole incident lasted for two hours.
Practitioner Huang Xinxian is from Putian. He went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution on January 23, 2009. He was dragged to the office by two inmates who were directed by Captain Lin Zhang, and instructor Rong Ze. When Mr. Huang told the facts about Falun Gong to the newly arrived guard Chen Bin, Lin Zhang kicked him hard. Lin put a picture of of the founder of Falun Gong that he had printed with the computer on the floor. He then grabbed hold of Mr. Huang's foot and forced him to step on the photo. Mr. Huang struggled to break away but failed. Rong grabbed a marker and began to make marks on the picture. He also tried to force Mr. Huang's hand to make marks on the picture. While this abuse was going on, Rong Ze and Lin Zhang took turns shocking Mr. Huang on the hands, neck, and lips with an electric baton. Later, they brought in a few inmates to hold Mr. Huang down on the floor. One person pinched his nose to prevent him from breathing, while another forced open his mouth to force-feed him water.
The above incidents are only the tip of an iceberg. Persecution is happening every day. We urge the international community to pay attention to this.
