(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 6 provinces. In this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tianjin City, Tianjin Province] Mr. Zhang Shaoling Arrested for Clarifying the Truth

Mr. Zhang Shaoling, 62 years old, lives in Tianjing City. On the morning of July 9, 2009, he went to Zhengzhuangzi Village to clarify the truth about Falun Gong and was reported to the authorities by a villager.

He was arrested by officers from the Hetou Town Police Station in the Tanggu District and taken to the Zhaojiadi Detention Center in Tanggu District, Tianjin City.

On July 4, 2009, while Ms. Guo was at home looking after her grandchild, eight officers from the Zhoukoushenqiu District Police Department went to her home and arrested her. She was taken to the Zhoukou Detention Center. After the police extorted several thousand yuan from her family, they still did not release her.

3. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Guiling, Ms. Sun Shuzhen, and Ms. Wang Ronglan Arrested

Ms. Wang Ronglan is 65 years old and Ms. Wang Guiling and Ms. Sun Shuzhen are both 60 years old. They all live in Weifang City. Around 6:00 a.m on July 1, 2009, they were arrested by officers from the Kuiwen City Police in Weifang City and their homes were ransacked.

4. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Jingwen Arrested

On June 18, 2009, Mr. Zhang was arrested and detained at Fushun Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Zhang Fangrong is retired from the Guizhou Xishui medicine company in Xishui County. On February 25, 2009, she was arrested by officers from the Xishui Police Department and sentenced to a a one-year prison term. On May 6, 2009, she was detained at the Zhongba Women's Forced Labor Camp in Guizhou.

6. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Ruping Transferred To Detention Center

Ms. Liu was an attorney. After being arrested and detained at a local police station, she was transferred to the Changqing Detention Center.

7. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Shixia Arrested

Ms. Li Xhixia lives in Shulan City. At around 4:00 a.m on July 8, 2009, she was arrested by the local police at her home.

8. [Beijing] Ms. Han Lin's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Han Lin, about 50 years old, lives in the Chaoyang District, Beijing. She was arrested during the Olympic Games by Beijing local police. At present, no one knows her whereabouts.

9. [Fangcheng County, Henan Province] Mr. Chun Niu Arrested

Mr. Chun Niu lives in Fangcheng County. On July 7, 2009, he went out to clarify the truth about Falun Gong and was arrested by officers from the Fangcheng Police Department. He was later detained at the Fancheng Detention Center.

10. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Mao Yuzhen and Mr. Chen Kexiu Arrested

Ms Mao and her husband, Mr. Chen, live in the Shahekou District. On July 5, 2009, they were arrested.

11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] The Persecution of Ms. Zhu Shuling and Her Entire Family

Ms. Zhu Shuling and her family live in Changchun City. In 2000, she went out to post some Falun Gong banners in the streets and was reported to the authorities. She was arrested and sentenced to a one-year prison term, and her employer stopped paying her wages. After she was released in January 2002, her two sons, both Falun Gong practitioners, were arrested and taken to a forced labor camp for refusing to give up their practice. Her husband, a practitioner, was also arrested. After he was severely persecuted at the hands of the police, he had stroke and is now unable to take care himself.

12. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Huang Zuoping Arrested

Ms. Huang Zuoping lives in the Wanli District of Nanchang City and works for Wanli District Electric Stove factory. On July 3, 2009, she went out to clarify the truth about Falun Gong and was reported to authorities. She was arrested by officers from the Wanli District Police Station.

13. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Weizhen Arrested

On May 31, 2009, Ms. Zhang was arrested by Yu Jianzheng and other officers from the Hanting District Police in Weifang City. Police ransacked her home and confiscated large quantities of Falun Dafa books. Police extorted 20,000 yuan from members of her family, but with her strong righteous thoughts she escaped from prison and went home on June 12, 2009.

14. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Eleven Practitioners Arrested

On July 8, 2009, officers from Jilin District 610 Office and Shulan City Police Department collaborated with other police departments in the area to arrest many practitioners from the Guoxin Medical Center. Mr. Zhao Yinguang, Mr. Zhao Yongcai, Mr. Wang Jie, Ms. Zhang Lan, Ms. Jie Shuhong, and Mr. Zhao Suwen were arrested by officers from the Shulan City Police. Ms. Li Shixia, Mr. Wang Zhenguang, and Ms. Yang Hongmei were arrested by Ma Chuanzhi, chief of the Baiqi Police Station. Mr. Zhang Xinkuan and Mr. Wang You were arrested by Zhu Jingbo, the assistant deputy secretary of the Liangshan District; Sun Lichen, from the Law Office; and Wang Xuewu, the head of Baiqi Township.
