(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces. In this report, 10 Falun Dafa practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 practitioners were illegally arrested.

On May 14, 2009, Feng Haibo and several other police officers from Daqing City Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Bao Xiangjin, a practitioner from Daqing City. They used a forged document as evidence against Mr. Bao Xiangjin; he was sentenced to two years of forced labor. On June 30, they sent him to Suihua Forced Labor Camp.

On July 6, police officers arrested Mr. Yu Haiqiu from Fushun City while he was putting up truth-clarification materials about Falun Gong. They ransacked his home. Mr. Haiqiu is now in Nangou Detention Center, Fushun City.

On July 9, 2009, officers from Sankeshu Police Station arrested Ms. Meng Shuzhen, 50, from the Daowai District, Harbin City, and ransacked her home.

On July 2, 2009, police arrested Ms. Hao Guifen from Jiajiadian Villiage, Chaoyang County, while she was at home. She is now in Chaoyang County Detention Center.

Putuo District 610 Office personnel arrested Mr. Huang Zhenya, who worked in the Putuo District No. 2 Vocational Middle School, Shanghai City. They sentenced him to two and a half years of forced labor.

On July 31, 2008, police from Laixi City arrested Ms. Wu Xiuxin, over 50, from Laixi City, Qingdao, Shandong Province. Later they took her to Qingdao Big Mountain Detention Center, where she was tortured for ten months. On June 26, 2009, she was taken to Jinan Prison in Shandong Province.

In late June, 2009, officials from local Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Ye Xian, a practitioner from Yicheng District, Zhumadian City, while she was at home. She was released in early July.

On July 6, 2009, more than ten police officials from local Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Li Jianshe from the Yicheng District in Zhumadian City while he was at home.

At 2:00 a.m. on February 15, 2009, officers from Danyang Police Station, Weibin Police Bureau, Xinxiang City, arrested Mr. Yang Mingzheng from Xinxiang City. In June 2009, Weibin District Court in Xinxiang City sentenced Mr. Yang Mingzheng to a four-year prison term.

About 10:00 a.m. on July 9, 2009, police arrested Ms. Bai Yun from Xinanmen, Dangshan County, and ransacked her home. They confiscated her computer and other items.

On December 17, 2007, Mr. Huang Zhibin and two other practitioners from Jiujiang County were reported to the police while the three practitioners were clarifying the truth in public. The officials from Jiujiang County Domestic Security Division arrested them and took them to Jiujiang Detention Center. On December 29, 2007, officials extorted 4,000 yuan from Mr. Huang Zhibin's family before releasing him.

On May 27, 2009, Mr. He Dingkun and his wife, Ms. Li Qionghui, elderly practitioners from Wagai Village, Zhonghe Town, Ziyang City, were reported to the police by their granddaughter and parents of their son-in-law. Officers from Zhonghe Town Police Station, Ziyang City Domestic Security Division, ransacked their home, arrested them, and confiscated their Dafa books and materials. The couple is currently in Ziyang Detention Center.

The officials also ransacked the home of Ms. Li Qinghui's sister-in-law's parents' home.

On July 7, 2009, Mr. Chen Quoqing from Wuhan City completed his five-year sentence in Shayang Forced Labor Camp. He should have been released, but officials from Hongshan Political and Judiciary Committee, Wuhan City, took him back to Shayang Labor Camp.

On July 7, police arrested Ms. Li Yuzhen from Wuhan City.

On July 7, 2009, Ms. Dong Wanqiong, Ms. Deng, Ms. Li Zhongju, and Ms. Pang Yali were reported to the police while the women were clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to people at Pure Land Temple in the suburbs of Dazhu County. Officers from Qingshui Police Station arrested them. They are being detained in the Dazhu County Police Station.

About 3:00 a.m. on July 8, 2009, Wang Zhentao, the superintendent of Liangjiashan Township Police Station, Shulan City, together with dozens of policemen, broke into the home of Mr. Zhu Chenggong from Xinglong Village, Liangjiashan Township, and arrested him. They took him to the brainwashing center in Ping'an Town No. 3 Middle School, Shulan City.

Officrs from Gebu Police Station arrested Ms. Yu Haiqiu, 55, from Fushun City while she was putting up truth-clarification posters. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Dafa books and other materials. She is now in Nangou Detention Center, Fushun City.

In the morning on September 8, 2009, officers from Shangcang Police Station, Ji County, Tianjin City, arrested Ms. Zhang Liqin.

About 2:00 p.m. on July 8, 2009, seven or eight policemen from Pingdu City arrested Mr. Wang Ping, who worked as a lawyer in the Tianzhengping Attorneys office in Pingdu City.

Ms. Xu Yan from Huailai County, Zhangjiakou City, has had her forced labor sentence extended another year. She has been detained in the No. 4 Group of the Women's Forced Labor Camp of Hebei Province. She completed her first one-year sentence on July 7, 2009, but labor camp officials didn't release her.

About 11:00 p.m. on June 10, 2009, officers from Lishui Police Station in Nanhai arrested Mr. Li Jun from Sichuan Province. He worked in the Foshan Shoe Factory. They ransacked his home and confiscated his computer. Later they took him to Nanhai Detention Center. His family was not allowed to visit him. On June 25, police took him to Sanshui Forced Labor Camp.
