(Clearwisdom.net) Under the influence of this persecution, the human notions that we have not yet eliminated are often the hands the evil forces use to control Dafa practitioners and are the great obstacles confronting Dafa practitioners with regard to Fa rectification. Our human notions are often deeply hidden. For example, I was detained in a local lockup for a month in early 2004. I made excuses for myself, thinking that I had not paid enough attention to security, which, in retrospect, now looks like my human mind playing tricks on me. I thought I had clarified the truth to save sentient beings, but, after deeply reflecting on it later, I found I was actually verifying myself and verifying that I was a Dafa practitioner most of the time. I wanted to be recognized by Teacher. Also, I subconsciously recognized that this evil persecution was a test for Dafa practitioners. This was a very selfish view to have. After I realized my shortcomings, I studied the Fa more carefully and cultivated my xingxing. Also, I read fellow practitioners' experience sharing articles on the Clearwisdom website. I corrected my thoughts. I also recognized that I should negate all the arrangements by the old forces, negate the persecution imposed on Dafa practitioners by the old forces, and get rid of all my attachments to selfishness, fear, and concern. I should focus my efforts on saving people and doing the three things well.
In the past, I had neglected to clarify the truth to people around me, especially my relatives. I thought that, since they were nearby, there would be plenty of opportunities. A recent event changed my thoughts on this.
My wife's sister temporarily stayed in our house for the convenience of traveling to her job. On the evening of July 3, I was determined to clarify the truth to her. Just as I was about to start talking, she said she was sleepy and went upstairs to bed. I said to myself, OK, so I was not able to clarify the truth today. I was disappointed but thought I would do it when there was another opportunity. That night, I had a dream. I dreamed that a new emperor wanted to impose the death penalty on an earlier dynasty princess. I saw the princess riding on a horse, playing music,and appearing carefree. When I woke up, I did not know the implications of my dream, but I recognized that I was too undisciplined with regard to saving people. My first thought was that I should clarify the facts to my sister-in-law as soon as possible. At breakfast the next day, I clarified the truth to her, gave her a detailed explanation, and answered to some of her questions. She was happy to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organizations.
Through this, I found that my biggest obstacle to truth clarification were my human thoughts. I was always worried about whether the person would accept the truth or not. In fact, when you begin talking from someone else's point of view and think of him or her first, the person will truly feel your kind intention and be ready to accept the truth.
When facing strangers, fear is the biggest obstacle to truth clarification. Teacher taught us to use wisdom to clarify the truth. At 2:00 p.m. on July 4, I went to a noodle restaurant. Before I went, I thought that I should create an opportunity to clarify the truth to the restaurant owners. They were very enthusiastic and actively talking about their son's school progress when I arrived. They asked me if I had any good ideas. There were few guests in the restaurant that afternoon. They sat down to talk to me. I talked a lot about educational topics. They were touched and very excited. I thought I needed to clarify the truth that day, so I changed the topic. I said, You see, what I am saying today is all what you are interestedI am completely thinking of your interests. Actually, I previously did not care about anyone else; it is Falun Gong that taught me to be considerate when dealing with others. Do you practice Falun Gong? they asked. I said, Yes. Falun Gong teaches people Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance. Isn't that great? You should not listen to what the TV says. What the TV, radio, and newspaper talk about is all from the same sourcethe CCP government. Ordinary people cannot hear other points of view from a second source. They agreed. I suggested they should quit the CCP organizations. They were very happy to do that. I was very happy that two more lives were saved.
From this, I feel that as long as we get rid of human thoughts and consider others first, the old forces cannot find any loopholes. Our truth clarification will be easier.
In this evil environment, we should believe in Teacher and Dafa and use righteous thoughts to correct our environment. No setting should to be used by the evil to commit bad deeds. Any setting should be seen by Dafa practitioners as an opportunity to clarify the truth. In any environment, Dafa practitioners are the main characters. We should keep our righteous thoughts, not be moved by the evil forces, and keep our determination to negate all the persecution imposed on us at any time. We should use righteous thoughts to face people. Even facing those who report us to the authorities, we should not immediately vilify them. We should treat the person as someone to be saved by Teacher. I'd like to finish by recalling Teacher's words as mutual encouragement: When disciples have ample righteous thoughts, Master has the power to turn back the tide.
