(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioners who are being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) minions, evil officials, officers, guards, and others should record their experiences, including the type of torture and harassment, and the names and phone numbers of the perpetrators. It is important to record everything about the depraved officials: the methods they use to extort money and everything else that exposes the evil goings on during this illegal and inhuman persecution. This information must be published on the Minghui and Clearwisdom websites. Practitioners are creating local truth-clarification materials, which are to be distributed widely. All of the above is crucial in exposing and disintegrating the evil, saving sentient beings, and stopping the persecution.
Teacher said,
"Clarifying the truth, at the same time as exposing the evil, restrains the evil and lessens the persecution; and exposing the evil is at the same time purging from people's minds the poison of the evils lies and deception--it is saving people. This is the grandest mercy." ("A Message," from Essentials for Further Advancement II)
One day I went to a friend's home. He had also invited another friend of his, whom I had not met. He talked a lot and vehemently denounced the badness governing today's society. He also mentioned reading theNine Commentaries on the Communist Party that had been distributed in his village. He thought it was written very well, documented the facts accurately, and was truthful. He commented that the CCP was really worthless.
But there was some information he thought was unreliable. I asked, "Please tell me, what part did you think unreasonable?" He answered, "Something about the persecution of Falun Gong that somehow does not ring true. I don't think that the persecution is as bad as it is being said." I said, "How did you come to this conclusion?" He mentioned that one time he had to take a Falun Gong "study class" ordered by the local government. Falun Gong practitioners had gone on a hunger strike. The officials prepared delicious food and tried to persuade them very kindly to eat it. He did not see that any of the practitioners were beaten or cursed at. I questioned him, "Do you know why the practitioners went on hunger strike and why they are forced to be there?" He did not.
I told him that practitioners in our area regularly published a booklet over many years, and that there are many such booklets that record stories about the persecution of local practitioners. In these booklets you can find detailed information about the persecution of practitioners, including their names, villages, and workplaces. The booklets also list the names of those who participate in the persecution, including their gender, age, birthplace and telephone numbers. Knowing he never had read such a booklet, I told him the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong.
After I recounted the facts, I said that I cultivated Falun Gong and had been arrested and suffered nonstop beatings, cursing, sleep deprivation, electric-shock, and other kinds of torture. I also told him the names of officers who brutally persecute practitioners. He listened carefully and said at the end, "I had never truly heard all of this--I thought that some of the information in the leaflets was fictitious and misleading. Now I know everything." He subsequently quit the CCP.
Because of this encounter, I realized that there were weaknesses in our efforts to expose the persecution at the local level. The truth clarification information about the persecution of Falun Gong lacks thorough preparation and dissemination, especially when it comes to actual local events. This needs our immediate attention. Ordinary people will believe and be convinced by what they read only when given the facts.
Actually, at the beginning of the persecution, Teacher pointed out the direction that practitioners need to take to oppose the persecution:
"The actions they are now adopting in the persecution of Dafa and its students are extremely evil and shameful, and they fear these will be exposed. You must let the world's people know about their evilness--this is saving people, as well. While eliminating the evil, you consummate yourselves and strengthen the Fa's manifestation in the world." ("Rationality," August 9, 2000)
On November 15, 2003, Teacher told us:
"Exposing the wicked policemen and bad persons and publicizing their evil deeds is extremely effective at shocking and restraining those irrational, wicked people. At the same time, by clarifying the facts to the people on a local level it most directly exposes, and generates public awareness of, the wicked persecution. It is also a great way to save the people who have been poisoned and deceived by the lies. I hope all Dafa disciples and new students in Mainland China will do this well.
