Recently, Diao Dechang of the Police Bureau of Luancheng City, was appointed director of the police bureau in Guan County, Shandong Province. He has declared publicly that he will eradicate Falun Gong. He said that the whole county would work together to "meet, visit, register, search, and arrest" Falun Gong practitioners (especially those who had previously been arrested or sentenced) during the October 1 holiday. He required each town to handle two practitioners.
On September 27, 2005, Wang Kejun, head of the police station in Fanzhai Town, Guan County, Shandong Province and Meng Jianxin, the town Party Secretary, led a group of people to ransack the house of Falun Gong practitioner Fan Shuxin. They arrested him and sent him to a detention center.
On September 27, 2005, Zhang Yudong, a Falun Gong practitioner who had been released from a forced labor camp, had his home ransacked and was arrested again. He was detained in a detention center for further persecution. Zhang Yudong is from Lianzhaihou Village, Ganguantun Town, Guan County.
The detention center has detained from two to thirty Falun Gong practitioners. On October 4, 2005, after a group of practitioners were directly sent to a forced labor camp without trial, there were still four female practitioners and two or three male practitioners held in the detention center.

This year unlawful officials in the Shengli Oilfield conducted a joint round of persecution with special support from the "Falun Gong Specialty Team," the 610 Office and the Communist Party. The "Falun Gong Specialty Team," an agency of Shandong Province, is now stationed at the Shengli Oilfield hotel.
From the beginning of this year, a total of 31 practitioners, including Tang Zhanchen, Fu Deqing, and others, were arrested by police from Binhai Police Department, Huantai County Police Department in Zibo City, and the security division of Petroleum University. Of those 31 Falun Gong practitioners, Tang Zhanchen, Shen Xiaoyuan, Yang Chenghan, Yang Jian, Qiu Hongmei, He Boqing and An Yuzhi were sent to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province. Yang Jianjun was in custody outside the labor camp and was later forced to become homeless after he was sentenced to forced labor but failed to pass the labor camp's required physical. Zhang Aiquan, Wang Mingyun, Yu Desheng, Zheng Ruihuan and Liu Yinglan now face labor camp sentences.
Zhang Aiquan used to be a third class police superintendent in the Shengli Oilfield Binhai Police Department traffic team. In 2000 he was put transferred to a closely monitored work group at Dongxin Oil Extraction Plant, where his wife worked, and detained for one month because he gave Falun Gong materials to others. In July 2000, he was sent to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for three years.
Earlier this year, lawless officials started monitoring Zhang Aiquan's activities. On May 13, in the afternoon, they followed Zhang Aiquan to Yu Desheng's home. After Zhang picked up Falun Gong materials and left Yu's house the officials arrested him.
Wang Mingyun, an employee of the monitoring group at Dongxin Oil Extraction Plant, was arrested in 2000 by detective Qu and his cronies, and detained at Shihua Hotel, located at the Survey Drilling Company of Shengli Oilfield. Ms. Wang was persecuted for one month at the time.
Under pressure from higher up, Wang was dismissed from her job and became unemployed. When her husband Zhang Aiquan was arrested on May 13, the police also secretly arrested Wang Mingyun. The couple's home was searched by police who stole their computer, car and other belongings.
Yu Desheng, an employee of the Material Company of Shengli Oilfield, appealed for Falun Gong, practiced Falun Gong outdoors, and distributed Falun Gong flyers after July 20, 1999, (when Jiang started the persecution). For this, he was illegally arrested and detained. In November 2000, he was sent to Wangcun for three years of forced labor.
In 2004, Yu Desheng requested his wages that had been withheld from him during his forced labor term. As a result, Mr. Yu was arrested by Diao Kefu, the chief of the Materials Company, and other lawless officials. Mr. Yu was detained inside the Materials Company, in a place that had been privately set up by the perpetrators for illegal detentions. Later, he was sent to a brainwashing center by the Shengli Oilfield "610 Office." On May 20 of this year, officials arrested Yu Desheng again, searched his home and took away his belongings, including his computer, Nine Commentaries booklets and other things.
Zhang Aiquan, Wang Mingyun and Yu Desheng were recently transferred from the County Police Department to Huantai County Detention Center. They were each brutally tortured there. When Zhang Aiquan's clothes were sent out of the center there was blood all over them. Officials also brutally beat Yu Desheng; this was seen by a witness. At the time of the arrest, Yu Desheng was beaten by the perpetrators and witnesses saw that there was blood all over his clothes. Their families are not allowed to visit them. Now, Zibo City officials are in the process of sentencing the three Falun Gong practitioners.
Zheng Ruihuan and Liu Yinglan are retirees from Jidong Oilfield at Tangshan City, Hebei Province, and are senior engineers. Under frequent threats, in 2002, they were forced to leave their home at Jidong Oilfield and came to Shengli Oilfield.
On July 8, 2005, at lunchtime, police from Zibo City National Security Department and from the Binhai Police Department in the Shengli Oil Field, went to their house and arrested them. They also confiscated their computers, books and other belongings. Right now, Zheng Ruihuan and Liu Yinglan are being detained at the Binhai Police Department in Dongying, Shandong Province. The law-violating police are planning to impose a secret trial and sentence them.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Jingyu was an employee of the Salt Factory for the Shuanghuan Chemical Industry Corporation in Yingcheng City, Hubei Province. Her physical and mental conditions improved greatly after she started practicing Falun Gong, and all of her illnesses disappeared. She worked hard and was a good mother and wife.
After the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999, Ms. Zhang persisted in being a good person according to "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance," and for that she was severely tortured.
Around 4:00 p.m. on July 9, 2000, He Zhongping, the Xinji Police Department head for Yingcheng City (also known as the Shuanghuan Police Department), as well as Wang Yuanyu, secretary of the Salt Factory CCP Committee for the Shuanghuan Science Corporation, Ltd., and several others abducted Ms. Zhang from her work unit and detained her for 15 days.
The following year on November 11, 2001, at 8:00 p.m. officers Wang Yuanyu and Liu Qiang from the Xinji Police Department abducted Ms. Zhang Jingyu from home. They took her to the Shuanghuan Hotel and handcuffed her to a window on the first floor. Whenever she turned around, numbing pains shot through her body. They kept hitting Ms. Zhang's face, head, hands and other parts of her body with metal hangers until she bled from her mouth and her hands had turned purple. They kept her handcuffed for four hours. Her hands were severely swollen when she was finally released. At noon the next day they sent Ms. Zhang to the No. 2 Detention Center in Yingcheng City, where they held her for another 15 days. He Zhongping extorted 2,000 yuan as a "deposit" before her family was allowed to take her home. The money has never been returned.
The following year on April 11, 2002, at 8:00 a.m. He Zhongping and others from the Xinji Police Department again abducted Ms. Zhang from her place of employment and again held her, this time for 28 days at the Wuhan Brainwashing Center without going through any due process.
At 10:00 a.m. on July 24, 2002, CCP committee secretary Wang Yuanyu called the police. Officers abducted Ms. Zhang and sent her to the No. 2 Detention Center in Yingcheng City, where she was held for five days. They withheld Ms. Zhang Jingyu's year-end bonus of 720 yuan.
Around 2:00 p.m. on November 9, 2002, perpetrators, including Zhang Sanping from the Xinji Police Department, abducted Ms. Zhang from work once more and held her at the Duangang Brainwashing Center in Yingcheng City for two weeks. Ms. Zhang held a protest hunger strike. Her systolic blood pressure shot up to 140 and her pulse was 120. Six perpetrators pinned her to a workstation and inserted a tube through her nose into her stomach and force-fed her soymilk. Her mouth foamed and her tormentors were frightened.
The next year, on February 18, 2003, personnel from the Xinji Police Department abducted Ms. Zhang from work yet again and held her at the Wuhan Brainwashing Center for 30 days. She held another hunger strike to protest. On the fourth day they put her in a chair, tied her arms to the armrests, and tied her upper body to the backrest. Five people held her head, hands, and legs. They pried her mouth wide open with medical equipment and used a spoon to press her throat in order to dump the food down it.
Between July 2003 and July 2004, authorities from the Salt Factory lowered her salary from 900 to 600 yuan, although her workload remained the same. Later they raised it to 700 yuan.
On July 23, 2004, Ms. Zhang was reported when clarifying the truth in Mahe Town, Hanchuan City, Hubei Province. Local police abducted her and sentenced to one year of forced labor.
At the Hanchuan No. 2 Detention Center, Ms. Zhang held a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Against her will, the police ordered IV infusions for her, possibly with concentrated saline solutions. She became exceedingly thirsty after the infusion was finished. They force-fed her every other day. Each time, five people pinned her to the floor and inserted a tube through her nose down into her stomach. On the seventh day they transferred her to the No. 1 Detention Center. Ms. Zhang could hardly walk, and she inched into her cell while holding onto the wall. The next day, several hired young men who were not formal employees of the detention center force-fed her. They dragged her out to the lawn by the front gate and tried to insert the feeding tube, but they couldn't manage it. They slapped her with such brute force that her face turned red. Eventually they were able to insert the tube. They force-fed her the same way in the following days. The tube scarred her throat and caused great pain. The detention center authorities saw that she was at the brink of death and were afraid of being held responsibile, so they sent her and another practitioner to the Shayang Forced Labor Camp in Hubei Province to further persecute them.
The authorities at the Shayang Forced Labor Camp assigned two inmates to monitor each Falun Gong practitioner, including the practitioner's words and actions. The practitioners are required to "report" before they enter a room, or they must stand in a military posture for a long time, even after they return to their dorm. Ms. Zhang held a hunger strike for 11 days. She was quite weak and had back pain. Despite her condition, they still forced her to stand in a military posture. She could not endure the back pain and tried to sit down. One inmate immediately stepped on her feet and another one yanked her up by her hand. She was wearing sandals, and both her hand and foot bled from the rough treatment. The two inmates would yank her around whenever she tried to sit down. Sometimes they jerked her collar and scratched her until the skin on her chest broke open. They grabbed her hair and banged her head against a wall and kicked her, all the while cursing the founder of Falun Gong. They forced her to stand up 24 hours a day as long as she refused to give up her belief.
After September 2004, Ms. Zhang got up at 5:00 a.m. to do the cleaning and take a shower. The inmates watched her as she went out to do slave labor. She was not given any noon break and had to work right after she finished eating lunch. When other detainees went to sleep, the inmates monitored her taking a shower and then brainwashed her until past 11:30 p.m., sometimes past 2 a.m. She still had to get up at 5:00 a.m. the next day.
On December 26, 2004, Ms. Zhang and several other practitioners were transferred from the Shayang Forced Labor Camp to the Hubei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp in Wuhan City, where other methods were used to persecute practitioners.
Beginning March 18, 2005, Ms. Zhang went to sleep at 2:00 a.m. and got up at 6:00 a.m. each day until late June, when she was allowed to go to sleep at midnight, although others were allowed to go to sleep at 9:30 p.m. The inmates did not allow her to talk, and they forced her to stand and sit the same way all day long. They followed her everywhere and didn't allow her to speak with anyone. Her weight dropped from 150 pounds to less than 110 pounds.
Her company canceled her labor contract after she returned from
Wuhan City.
Since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have been arrested in Qinlong County, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. The police department in Qinglong County exhausts a lot of manpower and resources to spy on and persecute practitioners, arresting them, searching their homes, extorting money from them, and incarcerating them in detention centers, labor camps and jails.
Methods of torture:
1. Forced to Lie on Ice
It is very cold in the winter in Qinglong County. In the yard of the county prison, several hundred practitioners have been forced to lie on their stomachs on the ice without clothes. The ice melts under their bodies, forming watery pockets in the surface of the ice. The water in the pockets is about an inch deep. The bodies freeze and turn blue. This torture has gone on for five winters. If there is no snow, they pour water in a shady place to make a patch of four-inch-thick ice and force practitioners to lie on it.
2. Wearing heavy shackles on the hands and feet
The police department ordered 100 more sets of handcuffs and shackles once the persecution began. The extra heavy foot shackles (over 20 pounds) are reserved for practitioners. Practitioners' hands and feet are sometimes locked together, so they cannot stand up. Even in this painful position, the policemen still force them to walk in the yard.
3. Squatting
Policemen force practitioners to squat for long periods of time, which is a very painful punishment. If practitioners cannot keep the position, they are whipped.
4. Lashing
Policemen often force practitioners to take off all their clothes, except for their underwear. Then they order the criminal inmates to lash practitioners until they pass out. Practitioners are shackled again when they regain consciousness.
5. Cruel force-feeding
To protest the persecution, some women practitioners started a hunger strike. The policemen ordered the doctors to force-feed them. Prison doctor Wang Jingfu inserted tubes into practitioners' noses, mouths, or rectums, to humiliate them while torturing them. This cruel force-feeding is the method he often uses to torture practitioners.
There are also countless other tortures.
Exposing the policemen who have persecuted Falun Gong practitioners
Many practitioners have been arrested and jailed in the detention center. Their sentences were indefinite, and they would not be released unless their family paid a "fine." To rescue them, some practitioners' family members had to borrow money. The policemen pocketed a lot of money from these illegal fines.
The deputy chief of the county police department, Zhang Xi claimed in public several times: "There is no law protecting Falun Gong practitioners. It is not a problem to beat Falun Gong practitioners to death. We will bury them if they die." He also said, "If Falun Gong practitioners are beaten to death, then it will be counted as suicide. And the testimony from other Falun Gong practitioners won't count." "The law doesn't apply to Falun Gong practitioners. This is the order from a higher level of government." "Nobody cares about the appeals for Falun Gong. I will give you time to appeal, if you think you are capable." Zhang Xi has ordered the officers to torture practitioners many times.
He not only ordered policemen and criminal inmates to beat practitioners with instruments of torture, but he also beat them himself. He beat practitioners with anything handy. Once he beat a practitioner with a shovel. He beat him so hard that the handle of the shovel broke. The practitioner was badly wounded, and blood soaked his shirt. Since he was dying, Zhang Xi stopped and ordered someone to take the practitioner to the hospital. (The pictures taken by the hospital are evidence.)
The chief of the detention center, Wang Jin, has tortured more than a thousand practitioners. He often beats, curses, and tortures practitioners by various means. Even the policemen in the detention center cannot bear to watch the brutal torture he applies to Falun Gong practitioners. He often curses while he is beating practitioners and repeats the orders from Zhang Xi (mentioned above).
Police officer Liu Lijun not only beats practitioners but also humiliates them for amusement. He forces them to jump like rabbit or move like turtle, and if one refuses, he will beat him. He forces practitioners to fan him when he lies on the couch. He forces practitioners to carry him on a chair when he goes to bathroom. Whenever he is in a foul mood, he tortures or curses practitioners.
Prison doctor Wang Jingfu often uses the worst torture methods on practitioners. He doesn't care about practitioners' lives and violently force-feeds them, resulting in broken teeth and badly injured throats. He invented the "force-feeding through the rectum" torture to insult practitioners. Once, when he was unable to insert the tube into a female practitioner's nose or mouth, he told five male criminals to insert the tube into her rectum.
Cases of persecution against practitioners from Qinglong County
Ms. Wang Sufen from Mutoucheng Town was stripped of her pants by policemen and beaten with a leather whip, plastic pipes and police batons for more than 30 minutes. The police, headed by deputy chief Zhang Xi, did not stop beating her until she passed out.
Ms. Du Yinqin, in her 50s, is from Shahe Village, Badaohe Town. Six policemen beat her to the ground and she was writhing in pain. While they were beating her, Zhang Xi asked, "Are you still going to say 'Falun Dafa is good'? We will keep beating you if you still say it." They did not stop until she passed out. They handcuffed her hands and feet together after she woke up. Ms. Du has been arrested and tortured many times. Once she was beaten so badly that pieces of her flesh stuck to the whip.
Ms. Li Guishu, from Tumenzi Town, was forced to sit in a big water pit in the heavy rain for an entire day. They did not even allow her to change into dry clothes afterwards.
Mr. Hu, from Wangchang Village, Badaohe Town, was taken to a women's jail cell by Wang Jin. Wang Jin took off Mr. Hu's pants and lashed him, which made his buttocks swollen and bruised.
Ms. Wang Lixin, in her 30s, is from Badaohe Village, Badaohe Town. She was illegally arrested and detained. Zhang Xi and Wang Jin cursed her and forced her to squat for one hour. They whipped her when she was unable keep the position.
Mr. Zhang Qingshu, in his 30s, is from Dingzhangzi Village, Louzhangzi Town. He was arrested several times. Zhang Xi and Wang Jin put him in handcuffs, which seriously damaged one of his wrists. The scar on his wrist is still visible. They mocked him, saying, "You said that your Master is good. Why doesn't he come to rescue you then?" Later that day, the handcuffs suddenly opened on their own. The policemen were shocked. They found that the spring in the handcuffs was gone. They had to replace them with another pair. Due to the illegal arrest of Zhang Qingshu, his five-year-old and 11-year-old children and two 70-year-old parents were left with no one to take care of or provide for them.
Ms. Zhang, 40 years old, is from Nianzigou Town. Wang Jin ordered policemen to take off her pants and beat her against a chair until her flesh was broken. When she put on her pants after the beating, her pants were soaked with blood and her skin and underwear were stuck together. There was also an egg-sized bump on her head.
Wang Jin whipped Ms. Liu Yuxia and other 17 practitioners. Wang Jin forced them to lie on their stomachs on the ice for 30 minutes. Afterwards they were confined to a cold room for three days, without any food or water. They were only allowed to wear thin clothes, and their bodies were covered with frostbite wounds.
Feng Guirong and Feng Guiling are sisters. On one of the coldest days of winter, they were hung from an iron pole in the yard for 45 minutes. The policemen could not bear the cold even while wearing heavy coats, but the practitioners were only wearing thin clothes. Their hands were swollen and numb from freezing. After they were taken down, they were handcuffed. Feng Guiling's hands were covered with festering frostbite wounds. The largest wound was the size of an egg.
At least four Falun Gong practitioners have been tortured to death in Qinglong County detention center
Mr. Hu Hexiang, 60 years old, was from Badaohe Town. He had been jailed many times and tortured many times. Once he went on a hunger strike for five days to protest his illegal arrest. Tubes were in his nose and his hands were handcuffed behind his back, so he had to sleep on his side. He needed help to turn over in bed and when going to the bathroom. The last time he was in jail, the policemen fed him slow poison that doesn't kill people instantly, but gradually, so that when people die after being released, the police do not have to bear any responsibility. After Mr. Hu was released, he died on January 28, 2002. His family members tried to appeal many times, but they were accused of lying. The police are afraid that his family will sue again, so they are trying everything possible to stop them. The problem is still unresolved.
Mr. Song Youchun and his wife and daughter from Tumenzi Town were arrested from home for no reason. They were jailed in the detention center and tortured. After a few days, his wife and daughter were released. Policemen told them that Mr. Song would not be released unless they paid a fine, but they were too poor to pay it. Fourteen days later, on December 15, 2003, Mr. Song was tortured to death in the detention center. Fellow practitioners and his family tried to sue the policemen, but they were only given 40 thousand yuan as compensation.
Qinglong County Police Department fabricated evidence to frame a Falun Gong practitioner and sentence him
Mr. Liu Huimin, 30 year old, is from Xiaoyingzi town, Qinglong County. He was in the military in Zhangjiakou City. The leaders in the army tried to convince him to renounce Falun Gong, but after he clarified the truth, the leaders changed their attitude, and appreciated his high level character. They didn't dare to keep him in the army, so they arranged a job for him in a hotel in Qinglong County, where he was appreciated by his supervisors and co-workers.
He wrote to the county government and police department, clarifying the truth to them and asking them to stop persecuting Falun Gong. He was accused of going against Jiang Zemin. He lost his job and was jailed in a small cell in a detention center. Two months later, they had a trial. In the court, Mr. Liu answered all of the questions righteously. But the county fabricated "evidence" and submitted it to the higher-level court in Shijiazhuang City. Mr. Liu was then sentenced to four years in prison. It has been two years. His wife Pan Suyun, also a practitioner, has never heard anything from her husband. She asked the local police station to give her permission to visit him, but instead the police beat her badly, which made her face swollen. They also arrested Liu Huimin's brother, Liu Huizhong, and jailed them both in the detention center. Such a happy family was destroyed, and three children were left home alone.
Before 2001, 819 practitioners were forced to undergo
brainwashing by the county police department. Three practitioners have
been forced to become homeless to avoid persecution. The police have
taken in 734 thousand yuan in illegal fines, for most of which, they
didn't issue a receipt. The crimes that policemen in Qinglong County
have committed against Falun Gong practitioners cannot be described
with words.
Ms. Sun Shujie, a Falun Gong practitioner from Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province was sentenced to forced labor again in 2002. Because of the violence from torture and from brainwashing, she is now mentally disabled. In spite of her condition, the policemen still forced her to work. They also kept verbally abusing and slandering her, making her mental state much worse. Once, when she was doing chores in the workshop, she picked up scissors, trying to slash her own throat. The following is her story:
Ms. Sun Shujie, 49 years old, a section head in Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province, has twice been held in a forced labor camp. The first time she was suffered forced brainwashing and was in very bad health when they finally released her. Shortly after that she underwent gynecological surgery and had her womb removed. In May 2002, before she had recovered from the surgery, she was arrested again and sent to Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp.
This time, Ms. Sun began to protest in the labor camp. She refused to cooperate with all the abuse and persecution such as brainwashing, squatting in a square, and listening to broadcasts that slandered Falun Gong. Because of her protest, the camp guard, Liu Yadong handcuffed her beside the bed days and nights, forcing her to sit on the cold floor for about five days. Because her surgery incision had not yet completely healed, she suffered so much pain that she could barely stand it.
The police brainwashed her violently. She suffered much additional torture and mistreatment, such as being hung up with her hands cuffed behind her back and being strictly monitored by inmates. In the meantime her husband divorced her. The horrifying camp environment, the torture and the verbal abuse affected her to the point that she collapsed mentally. The camp policemen and the doctors were fully aware of her situation but they did not want to do anything to help. They even insulted her viciously, saying that she was pretending.
Guard Hong Wei ordered Liu Shihua, a 50-year-old prisoner, to follow and monitor Ms. Sun all the time. One morning when Ms. Sun left the camp meeting room a policeman noticed this and captured her. After a round of violent beating, the policeman brought her back to the eighth team. Then guard Hong Wei beat her violently one more time.
Liu Shihua's prison term would have expired shortly after that, but because she failed to watch Sun closely enough, guard Hong Wei added one month to her prison term. Thus Liu Shihua could not go back home before the Chinese New Year.
After that, guard Hong Wei and another person named Jiang Jianan
ordered two prisoners to monitor Ms. Sun and to force her to work.
Although she had become a mental patient, Jiang Jianan and Hong Wei
still kept verbally abusing and insulting her. It made her mental state
even worse. Once, while doing chores in the workshop she took a pair of
scissors and tried to stab herself in the throat. Fortunately,
practitioners Song Huilan and Li Shumei detected her action. They
stopped her immediately and prevented her from committing suicide.
After learning what had happened to Ms. Sun, Hong Wei and some other
prisoners hung her up outside and beat her violently. Then they kept
her handcuffed all the time. In the summer of 2004, Ms. Sun's mental
state was so serious that the labor camp had no alternative but to let
her go home.
My name is Qin Fei, and I was born in December 1970. I worked after graduating high school in 1988. In 1994, I attended the Adult Education Institute in Yunnan University (located in Kunming City, Yunnan Province) after passing the entrance examinations. I graduated in October 1998 with a Bachelor degree in Legal Science.
I began working toward a Master's degree in Legal Science in 2002 as a part-time graduate student at Yunnan University.
On September 28, 2005, because I practice Falun Gong, I received a Decision (Yunnan University Graduate School Document #8, 2005) to dismiss me from the Yunnan University. The document was sent by my teacher in the Legal Science Institute.
I am a self-paid part time graduate student. In order to finish my degree, I have accumulated a large debt. I have paid 24 thousand yuan in the past three years, and remain a good student by perfect attendance, studying hard, and respecting my school and my teachers. I finished my thesis draft on time and independently.
I am not aware of any rules or regulations that would lead to
my dismissal. According to General University Student Management
Regulations, article 56, 58 and 61, I appealed my case to Yunnan
University. Please take back such an unreasonable decision, so that I
can finish my studies.
Hejian City practitioners Mr. Wang Fulin and his wife, Mo Junhua, were arrested by staff from the Hejian Political and Security Section and the Beishicao Police Station in December 2004 and May 2005 respectively. The Hejian Court recently sentenced them to prison. Mr. Wang Fulin was sentenced to a six-year term at Tangshan Prison and his wife Mo Junhua to a three-year term at Shijiazhuang Prison. Their daughter is alone at home and having a difficult time adjusting to being without her parent's guidance.
2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Jiang, Guobo, Former Assistant County Officer of the Weifang City Political and Judiciary Committee, Is Arrested
Mr. Jiang Guobo, 42, was a former assistant county officer of the Weifang City Political and Judiciary Committee. He began practicing Falun Gong in 1995. Since the prosecution began on July 20, 1999, he has been detained several times, for appealing for Falun Gong and telling the truth about the persecution. He was fired from his job for being a Falun Gong practitioner. On November 2000, he was sent to a forced labor camp. He suffered brutal physical torture at the forced labor camp. After he was released, he moved from place to place to avoid harassment. October 3, 2005, around 5 p.m., Weifang City police arrested him again.
3. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Are Arrested
On the evening of September 22, 2005, the Daqing Police Department and the Daqing National Security Bureau held an urgent meeting. They decided to arrest Falun Gong practitioners that were named on a special list the following morning.
A little after 6 a.m., police used a master key to break into building 805, Donghu, where Bai Yufu and Zhang Lixin lived. Police arrested Bai Yufu and Zhang Lixin, and confiscated their copy machine, personal computer, and two bags of Falun Gong materials.
Around 7 a.m. that morning, Ms. Zhang Xiumin, who lived in building 811, was on her way to visit Zhang Lixin. Two plainclothes police stopped and asked her where she was going.
