Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yuan Shengjun from Jiyuan City, Henan Province was illegally sentenced to six years in prison on October 7, 2005. After about two weeks, Yuan Shengjun was beaten to death by the police at the 610 Office. His body was full of wounds and bruises.

Yuan Shengjun was born in 1963. He held a bachelor's degree and lived at the family dormitory of the Jiyuan City Electricity Bureau. He had worked as a teacher, a lawyer, an engineer, an assistant to the general manager at a corporation and as head of Jiyuan City Materials Bureau. Mr. Yuan started practicing Falun Gong in 1997 and he was quickly cured of chronic heart disease and high blood pressure. During eight years of the practice he never got sick and never took a single pill.

After starting to practice Falun Gong, Yuan Shengjun conducted himself strictly according to the requirements of Falun Gong. With improved morals his heart and mind became pure and he was very healthy. He was popular and well liked and was promoted to the position of head of Jiyuan City Materials Bureau in July 1999. Mr. Yuan worked hard, refused bribes and treated people fairly. He received high scores from the bureau employees.

In July 1999, the CCP regime led by Jiang Zemin began persecuting Falun Gong. In November 2000, Yuan Shengjun wrote an open letter to Jiang, then general secretary of the Central CCP Committee, in which he clarified the truth about Falun Gong. Perpetrators from the Judicial Bureau illegally arrested Mr. Yuan. The Jiyuan City 610 Office insisted that Yuan Shengjun was the main person in charge of Falun Gong in Jiyuan City, and the perpetrators sentenced him to three years in prison. They held him at Jiyuan Detention Center and at Zhenzhou City Prison and released him in November 2003. During the incarceration Yuan Shengjun was savagely beaten, shocked with electric batons and subjected to brainwashing. He was also terminated from his job.

At 11:30 a.m. on March 30, 2005, Wang Mingli, head of Jiyuan City National Security Group and political secretary Wang Guoyou led members from the 610 Office to break into Yuan Shengjun's home and ransack it. After failing to find any Falun Gong-related material, they still tried to arrest Yuan Shengjun. Yuan Shengjun refused to cooperate with them and told them the truth about Falun Gong. The perpetrators called 110 [equivalent to 911 in the US] and asked for police officers, who forcibly arrested Yuan Shengjun and took him to Jiyuan City Detention Center the next day.

Yuan Shengjun held a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. On the eighth day, Yuan Shengjun was sent to the No. 1 People's Hospital in Jiyuan City where he was brutally force-fed. On April 29, Jiyuan City Police Department enforcers issued an arrest warrant and forbid Yuan Shengjun's family to visit him.

At the detention center, Yuan Shengji told the people assigned to monitor him stories of his Falun Gong practice as well as Falun Gong's principles that teach people to be good. Many people were moved by his words. The persecutors at the Jiyuan City 610 Office were afraid the guards would listen to Falun Gong principles and "soften up," so they changed guards every few days.

After six months of detention an illegal trial was secretly held on September 22, 2005. After fifteen days, Yuan Shengjun was sentenced to six years in prison on October 7.

Since no incriminating evidence was presented at the trial, Yuan Shengjun's wife and his mother, who is in her 80s, decided to appeal the ruling. Unfortunately, within two weeks, on October 25, the 610 Office police beat Yuan Shengjun to death. There is not a single patch of skin intact on his body, and congealed blood can be seen underneath the skin. The body is in a wretched condition.

Yuan Shengjun's family demanded an autopsy but the police refused. The next day the police secretly cremated the body before his family could look at it. Afterwards, they sent many plainclothes police officers to Yuan Shengjun's family to take pictures of Falun Gong practitioners who were paying condolences, as the police planned to persecute more innocent practitioners.

Yuan Shengjun was deprived of his life at age 42 by Jiang's group, and he left behind his mother in her 80s, his wife and his 13-year-old son.

On October 27, 2005, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Du Jinglan was tortured to death by Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison.

Ms. Du Jinglan was 55 years old and lived on Ninth Street, in Daowai District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. She was arrested at her home in 2002, sentenced to seven years of prison time, and incarcerated at the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison. She was tortured until she was paralyzed and totally incontinent. She often passed out, and her blood pressure was once as high as 250 mm.

On October 24, 2005, Ms Du Jinglan was sent to the hospital in an unconscious state. She died at 4:00 a.m. on October 27, 2005.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Kaide, 46, lived in Lijiashiqiao Village, Zhuhai Neighborhood, Jiaonan City, Shandong Province. He did clothing trade, but had bad health. After started to practice Falun Gong in the spring of 1997, he quickly became very healthy.

On July 21, 1999, Mr. Li Kaide went to Beijing to clarify the truth together with fellow practitioners. Police found them through a cell phone locator, and he was arrested by police from Jiaonan City in the basement of a motel in Beijing.

According to Mr. Li Kaide's family, at 7:00 a.m. on July 30, 1999, Mr. Li was sent back to Jiaonan City by the Jiaonan City Police, who went to Beijing to arrest him, and the vehicle had an accident while driving in the Huangshanlu area. Mr. Li Kaide was killed during the accident because his hands were cuffed.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Lianying from the Chaoyang District of Beijing was illegally arrested and held for over six months. She continues to face torture in the Tuanhe Dispatch Division under authority of the Beijing Reeducation Administration Bureau. She is in critical condition. Her child is one year old and is still being breast-fed. The following is her story:

Zhang Lianying, 45, is a Beijing native. She is a division official at the China Everbright Group and a registered accountant. Ms. Zhang lived at Room 203, Unit 2, Building 7, Liufang Nanli in Chaoyang District, Beijing. She was illegally arrested on June 14, 2005 for practicing Falun Gong. The perpetrators were from the Xiangheyuan Police Station and from the Chaoyang Police Department. She left her one-year-old child behind at home. On June 30, 2005, Zhang Lianying was unlawfully sentenced to thirty months of forced labor. She was sent to Group 9 of the Tuanhe Dispatch Division in Beijing between August 2005 and mid October 2005, where she was verbally and physically abused and otherwise savagely tortured.

Guard Zhang Dongmei ordered eight inmates to slap Zhang Lianying with flyswatters for over ten hours a day, during which time she was not allowed to use the restroom and had to relieve herself in her pants. She was treated this way even during her menses and was never allowed to wash herself. The guards tied her to a wooden board, and that is where she sleeps for about two hours per day.

Since her arrest on June 14, Zhang Lianying has been holding a hunger strike to protest the persecution. The guards bought tools with the money the family sent for her clothing needs. Due to inhumane abuse, Zhang Lianying sustained scars of varying depths, each about 1.2 inches in length, on her head and face. Her family can barely recognize her. She has difficulty moving her body and sometimes has hallucination episodes. Her eyes bled, her face became deformed and her body was covered in bruises. She asked to go to a hospital for a physical check, but the authorities refused. She appealed many times but did not receive any response. Her life is in danger.

Zhang Lianying's family and friends are demanding an examination by a certified medical expert so she can receive necessary medical treatment. They want to have those who beat her prosecuted and punished according to the law.

Since 1999, Zhang Lianying and her husband have been arrested and illegally detained many times. In 2001, Zhang Lianying was sentenced to two years of forced labor and was brutally tortured. In 2002, she was abducted by National Security Bureau agents and was sent to the Tongzhou Brainwashing Class in Beijing, the Daxing Legal Training Center in Beijing and Beijing Police Hospital, where she was subjected to horrendous mistreatment.

We urgently call on the international community and all kind-hearted people in the world to pay close attention to Zhang Lianying's situation and lend as much help as possible! Please, help her child! Please rescue her so she can return to her family, so the perpetrators can be brought to justice. Let us together end this barbaric persecution as soon as possible.

Ms. Yu Li, a Falun Gong practitioner in Dalian City, was arrested in 2001. She experienced gruesome torture in Dabei Prison and passed away in September 2005.

Ms. Yu Li, who is in her 60s, was a retired employee of the Harbor Bureau of Dalian City. She started to practice Falun Gong in 1995. She was strict with herself according to the standard of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" and achieved great changes both in mind and body. Later she volunteered to be an assistant at a practice site and did great work in spreading Falun Gong.

In October 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. After she returned to Dalian, someone reported her to the Dalian Police Department, and she later found information online that the police were looking for her.

To avoid arrest, she left Dalian and went to Lishun City, where she met Ms. Yu Fenghua from Fengcheng City. As reported on the Clearwisdom Website, Ms. Yu Fenghua was persecuted to death in Dabei Prison.

In May 2001, Ms. Yu Li went to see her sick mother in the Jinxhou District of Dalian City, where the police authorities had already prepared to "illegally arrest" her. They got in the door by using deception and took her to the Dalian Detention Center. Several months later, she was sentenced and put in Dabei Prison.

Dabei Prison is a living hell. The staff there used every conceivable cruel, crafty and covert means to try to force Ms. Yu to renounce Falun Gong. They even beat her with steel rods covered with rubber, a torture that does not leave obvious wounds but can result in serious internal injuries.

The police hung Ms. Yu by her handcuffs and brutally beat her into a coma with a steel rod. To see if she was still alive, they took her down and poured boiling water on her, seriously burning her chest and back. These inhuman tortures in no way changed her belief in Falun Gong.

In October 2003, she was released on medical parole. As the result of the torture, she spit up blood on New Year's Eve 2004 and again in the fall of 2004. At the end of September 2005, she spit up large amounts of blood and died three days later.

Wenling's 610 Office officials have cruelly mistreated Falun Gong practitioners since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, and have committed countless crimes.

In the summer of 2005, Ms. Chen Junhua, who is in her 40s, distributed a Falun Gong flyer at a local bank. As a result, she was arrested and sentenced to a three-year prison term. Now she is deprived of her freedom and is being held in the Wenling Detention Center. Prior to this detention, Ms. Chen was repeatedly detained by 610 Office officials and was subjected to forced labor at the Moganshan Forced Labor Camp, where she underwent physical torture and mental torment. She was continually subjected to brainwashing for over two years until her entire body appeared to fester with an unbearable odor. After her release, according to one source, 610 Office officials paid secret agents to follow her on a monthly basis. They pretended to be interested in Falun Gong and asked Ms. Chen to teach them Faun Gong in order to monitor her closely. When Ms. Chen was arrested this summer, a dozen people showed up and claimed that they had received a Falun Gong flyer from Ms. Chen.

Since last summer, officials in charge of the 610 Office have been extremely aggressive. Because they distributed Falun Gong truth clarification materials, many local practitioners were sentenced to prison or forced labor. Mr. Yu Lixin, who is in his 40s, was sentenced to five and a half years and is now detained in the Hangzhou Men's Prison. According to a reliable source within the police department, Mr. Yu Lixin has gone on a long-term hunger strike. He has lost the vision in one eye, is paralyzed, lives with an assistant and is now in critical condition. Prior to this latest detention Mr. Yu had served three years of forced labor.

Practitioner Ms. Wu Misu, who is in her 40s, was sentenced to three years in prison. Several years ago Ms. Wu had served an unlawful two-year forced labor term. Because of her severe asthma, she could not tolerate the hard labor, and her life was in danger at the forced labor camp. She was released on bail for medical treatment. Now she has to serve a three-year term. Her husband divorced her and left a seven-year-old son at home without care. The other practitioners who were sentenced to forced labor include Ms. Chen Junhua for three years, Qu Zeming for three years, Ding Ruzhen for three and a half years, Meiju (no first name available) for two years, Li Xiao Shu for one and a half years, and Guo Xiaobo's sentence has been commuted to one year of house arrest. In less than a year, so many practitioners in the small area of Wenling have been illegally sentenced and persecuted.

The Wenling area officials use fiendish methods of torture to persecute practitioners, including sleep deprivation, exposure to the summer sun until the victim is dizzy and then is forced to answer questions, inciting criminals to beat practitioners, electric shocks, exposure to freezing winter conditions, and other atrocities. Practitioner Mr. Yu Lixin is an example. After he had been on a hunger strike for several months, the persecutors handcuffed him onto a cross-shaped frame against a wall for a long period of time and used sharpened bamboo sticks to poke his face. The wounds on his face dripped blood, but these police officers laughed wildly and could not stop laughing. They also force-fed the unconscious Mr. Yu by opening his month with hardware so that his teeth were broken off and his mouth bled constantly. The police, however, told his parent that Mr. Yu was "receiving treatment." There is more evidence of crimes that need confirmation and exposure.

Several years ago practitioner Ms. Yan Suyun, who was in her 40s, died as a result of being persecuted. The details of her death are still unknown.

Several Falun Gong practitioners in Chongren County, Jiangxi Province were illegally sentenced and sent to forced labor camps. They include Mr. Huang Zhimin, Ms. Xiong Saiying, Ms. Wang Li, and Ms. Huang Xiaomei.

Before the persecution began on July 20, 1999, Falun Gong spread from person to person, heart to heart. As a result, several hundred people in Chongren County started practicing, and they benefited in both mind and body. After the persecution began, with compassion many practitioners in Chongren County exercised their constitutional rights to appeal in Beijing. They wanted to tell the government officials the truth about Falun Gong and call on to them stop the persecution. However, not only were their voices ignored, they were also illegally detained, sentenced, sent to forced labor camps, and had their possessions confiscated. The authorities were very vigorous in their attempts to completely suffocate Falun Gong and practitioners. Recently, because they have insisted on upholding "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," some practitioners were once again illegally sentenced and sent to forced labor camps.

Mr. Huang Zhimin, an employee of Housing Management Department, is in his 30s. He learned Falun Gong in 1996 and started to practice diligently in 1997. He was a volunteer contact person at a local practice site. On the evening of July 20, 1999, police from Chongren Police Department Political Security Section (later renamed as "National Security Group") came to his house, ransacked it, and destroyed his Falun Gong books. He was illegally arrested and detained in a hotel. During that time, police forced him to sign a guarantee statement to give up the practice. Otherwise he would be continually detained. Mr. Huang went to Beijing to appeal in November 1999. Later that month, the police picked him up and put him in the Chongren Detention Center. In September 2000, he was illegally sentenced to three years of detention. Because of his belief, the police in the detention center ripped off his clothes, shoes, and socks, leaving him in his underwear. The police then cruelly tortured him, attempting to use brutal torment to destroy his firm determination.

In 2002, Mr. Huang was released. He had retained his strong faith in Falun Gong and again clarified the truth to people about Falun Gong. In November 2004, Mr. Huang was once again illegally arrested by the Chongren County National Security Group and sentenced to three years imprisonment.

The sentence reduced Mr. Huang's wife to tears and greatly saddened his son. CCP thus separated a harmonious family of three.

Ms. Xiong Saiying and Ms. Wang Li were both illegally sentenced to eighteen months of imprisonment by the 610 Office for their strong belief in Falun Gong. During the show trial, all three of these practitioners absolutely opposed the charges forced on them and requested to be released immediately. They also clarified the truth to everyone in the courtroom and effectively suppressed the evil.

Ms. Huang Xiaomei was a social worker. She was illegally sent to a forced labor camp for one year for exposing the evil nature of the CCP and its brutal persecution of Falun Gong.

The above practitioners are currently detained in prisons and forced labor camps in Jiangxi Province.

Mr. Jiang Bingren was a 70-year-old retired worker from Nanzhai Village, Nanhao Town, Changle County in Shandong Province. Previous to practicing Falun Gong, Mr. Jiang had many illnesses that the hospital said were incurable. After he began to practice Falun Gong, his illnesses went away and his health improved.

To appeal on behalf of Falun Gong, Mr. Jiang went to Beijing to tell people "Falun Dafa is good," but he was arrested and sentenced to three years of forced labor. Mr. Jiang escaped after two months. On January 29, 2003, he was arrested again and jailed for over 70 days, during which time the authorities forced him to walk along the street to humiliate him. He was made to stand barefoot in the snow for several hours at a time, and was often beaten and deprived of sleep. He was not allowed to go home during the New Year's Day Festival either. Mr. Jiang's health continued to deteriorate after his release due to the extreme persecution he was subjected to, and he died in June 2003.

Mr. Zhang Faming was 64 years old and lived at Laojie in Liuhe Town, Qichun County in Hubei Province. He began to practice in Falun Gong on New Year's Day 1996. The arthritis that had bothered him for over ten years was healed after he began to practice, and his physical health became excellent. After the government began to suppress Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Mr. Zhang was arrested. On the night of July 18, 2001, he was taken away and his house was ransacked. That same night, the head of Liuhe Police Station, Luo Zhongsheng, ordered a few policemen to take turns beating and kicking him. They hung him by his handcuffs and interrogated him while they beat him. The next morning his family members went to visit him and found that he was beaten so badly that he could not walk. He had bruises all over his body. Later he was sent to Wuzhuang Jail in Qichun County and was held there for eight months. His body became swollen and weak. He was released in March 2002, after the police had extorted 4,000 yuan from him. Due to the severity of the torture he was badly traumatized. This caused him to develop an acute stomach problem on April 3, 2003, and he passed away on April 10.

Mr. Hou Shicai, was 69 years old and lived in Shenyang City in Liaoning Province. He began to practice in December 1997, and all his illnesses went away. By the end of his second year of practicing, his white beard had turned black, and black hair had emerged from his bald head. His skin disease went away and the skin all over his body became soft and fair. Mr. Hou and other practitioners traveled to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in April 1999. Mr. Hou went to Beijing to tell people the facts about Falun Gong in October 1999. At that time the Appeals Bureau had closed its doors and refused to let anyone in. Mr. Hou suffered a great deal from the persecution by Jiang's regime and died on January 21, 2001.

Mr. Yang Lixin, 42, was an employee of the Panjin Petroleum & Chemical Corporation in Liaoning Province. In November 2002 he was bailed out of Zhenyang No. 3 Prison after being on a hunger strike for three months.

On August 4, 2005, he was once again detained, this time in Shenyang No. 1 Prison's closed surveillance unit. At this time he is still on hunger strike. After the ninth day of the hunger strike, he was force fed through a feeding tube. He has become exhausted both mentally and physically, and his life is in danger.

Practitioner Ms. Li Caifeng from the new development area of Pudong went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. She was arrested and detained at Shanghai Qingpu Women's Forced Labor Camp for three months. In 2004 she was illegally detained for a month for clarifying the truth of Falun Gong. Around October 2, 2005, she was under close surveillance for a long period of time, and she was videotaped and followed when she took a business trip to Zhejiang Province. She has now been forced to become homeless to avoid being persecuted. The police station in the Pudong new development area has disturbed her family incessantly and keeps them under 24-hour surveillance.

8. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Shuyu Arrested and Detained

When he was on his way to one of his student's homes to clarify the truth, Mr. Zhang Shuyu, 60, a resident of the Dongli District in Harbin City, was reported to the authorities by his family. Dongli District's National Security Group Captain Zhang Guorong arrested him. Zhang Guorong violently punched Mr. Zhang Shuyu's face several times in the detention center. His rented apartment was ransacked, all Falun Gong books and 600 yuan were taken, and a bankbook with 20,000 yuan on deposit was also stolen. On October 12, 2005, eleven practitioners from Nanchang County were gathered at a practitioner's home holding a group discussion when someone reported them to the police. At around 3:20 p.m., personnel from the Nanchang County National Security Team arrested them, put them into several police cars and sent them to the Nanchang County Detention Center. In the evening, personnel from the Liantang Police Station, the Nanlian Road Police Station and from the Youlan Police Station went to the eleven practitioners' homes and ransacked them. Policemen who participated in the arrest include Fan Xiaogang and a policeman surnamed Yuan from the National Security Team.

The arrested practitioners include Hu Mitao, Chen Yulian, Gong Juru, Zhou Yuxiu, Peng Jumei, Li Gendi, Zhang and Xiong Guoying.

2. [Jiyuan City, Henan Province] Yuan Shengjun Sentenced to Six Years of Imprisonment

On September 22, 2005, practitioner Yuan Shengjun from Jiyuan City was secretly sentenced in Jiyuan City. During the process, the court had riot squad officers surrounding the court. Fifteen days later Yuan Shengjun was sentenced to six years of imprisonment. His family members are appealing to the Jiyuan City Intermediate Court.

At around 6:40 p.m. on October 13, 2005, three practitioners including Yang Benliang and Bai Cheng took a taxi. When they got out of the taxi, three people rushed out from a black car that had followed them and took Yang Benliang and Bai Cheng away. The other practitioner managed to escape.

That same day, practitioners Zhao Xue, Lu Kaili and Yang Chunling were arrested by personnel who were staked out downstairs.

On September 23, 2005, Cao Shuxia was taken to the Daqing City Detention Center. She was forced to sit in a metal chair in the interrogation area for an entire night, and was then continuously interrogated for 24 hours without sleep. At around 7:00 a.m. on October 2 she was interrogated again and police deprived of her of sleep for yet another 24 hours. Once she closed her eyes, police poked at her eyes with a broom handle, making her eyes turn red. She was not permitted to tend to her personal hygiene, and she was tortured to virtual unconsciousness. Ms. Cao has been on a hunger strike to protest. The responsible unit for her case is the Ranghu Road Police Station.

On September 24, 2005, the police followed and arrested practitioner Ms. Yuan Mi and ransacked her home, then put her into the Daqing City Detention Center. They continuously interrogated her for five days for the source of the Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. She was forced to sit on a metal chair and was deprived of sleep and food. Her head was covered with a black plastic bag, and the perpetrators blew cigarette smoke into the bag. She almost had a mental collapse from the torture. 7. [Acheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Liu Zhimin Holds a Hunger Strike to Protest Four-Year Prison Sentence

Practitioner Mr. Liu Zhimin from Acheng City was arrested on May 26, 2005 and has so far been held for over four months. In early September he was put on trial at the City Court. On September 22 he received the verdict, pronouncing a four-year prison sentence. Liu Zhimin then decided to stage a hunger strike to protest. He has so far been on this hunger strike for nine days. He is in critical condition.

When his family found out that Liu Zhimin was on a hunger strike, they came to the detention center to visit him. His parents worried a lot when they saw how extremely weak Liu Zhiming was. In order to get him released, his parents submitted an appeal to the court before October 1. After October 1, they talked several times with Han Yang, who is in charge of the case, but Han Yang apparently was trying to shirk the responsibility. They also talked with Wu Da, an officer of the 610 Office, but he also did not offer any help.

12. [Shandong Province] Tang Lihua Sentenced to One Year of Incarceration at the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province for Clarifying the Truth

Ms. Tang Lihua, 56, is a resident of the Huayuan Community in the Weifang City Development District in Shandong Province. On July 20, 2005, plainclothes agents arrested her when she was clarifying the truth at Zhaozhuangji in the Development District. She was sent to the Changyi Detention Center. On August 10, Tang Lihua was sentenced to one year of forced labor at the Shandong Province Wangcun Forced Labor Camp.

13. [Suixi County, Guangdong Province] Suixi County 610 Office Personnel Put Ms. Chen Xueying and Ms. Bai Zhen into a Forced Labor Camp

In the middle of July 2005, personnel from the Suixi County 610 Office and several policemen suddenly besieged 60-year-old practitioner Ms. Chen Xueying's house, arrested her and confiscated some Falun Gong books. Chen Xueying was sentenced to two years of forced labor in August. She is currently being detained at the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp.

At 10:00 p.m. on July 28, the same people arrested 50-year-old practitioner Ms. Bai Zhen. They confiscated some Falun Gong books and 1,000 yuan, and in August, Bai was sentenced to one year and nine months of forced labor. Because her blood pressure was extremely high when she was sent to the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp, she was transferred to the Zhanjiang Brainwashing Center for further persecution.

14. [Gucheng County, Hebei Province] Persecution of Zhang Xia and Wang Jianping

On October 12, 2005, policemen Shao Li, Zhai Hongjun and Chen Haiying arrested practitioners Wang Jianping and Ms. Zhang Xia, who is in her 40s, from Gucheng County, Hebei Province. They put Wang Jianping into the County Detention Center and Zhang Xia into the County Police Department. On October 14, when Shao Li interrogated Zhang Xia at his office, Zhang Xia fell from the second floor. Her face was injured and she had fractures in multiple places. One day later she was sent to the county hospital. No one takes care of her except for a hospital custodian who bought food for her. The details are under investigation.

It was reported that on May 26, 2005, He Xianqun, Mao Kaiming, Lu Zhengguo and five other practitioners from Liangshan State went to Leibo County to clarify the truth. National Security Team policemen arrested them, and they have been detained ever since. Their cases have been reported to the county's court.

16. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Zheng Hongjun and Li Yequan Tortured by Force-Feeding

On September 23, 2005 practitioner Zheng Hongjun and Li Yequan from Daqing City were arrested and are currently being detained at the Daqing City Forced Labor Camp.

They went on a hunger strike between September 23 and October 16 to protest the persecution. According to a guard at the forced labor camp, the two practitioners were force-fed every day during their hunger strikes. Their windpipes were severely injured, and their lives are in peril. The witness said that the brutal force-feeding was excruciating. He worried that the practitioners might die at the forced labor camp.
