(Minghui/Clearwisdom correspondent Caiju) At 10 a.m. on December 11, 2005, around one thousand people gathered in Roosevelt Park in Manhattan Chinatown to support 6.2 millions Chinese people issuing statements online to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Many Falun Gong practitioners from the Eastern US, including Washington DC, participated in this rally.

It had snowed twice in December in New York. Practitioner Ms. Li drove for 6 hours from Washington DC to participate. She said, "I participate in the rally because of the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong. It has lasted for six years. I hope more people will understand the evil nature of the CCP and the persecution via reading "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party". For more than a half century, the CCP has persecuted too many Chinese people to death or disability. It is so wicked. To withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations means to choose a good future and not to be an accomplice of theCCP."

Practitioner Ms. Wei said, "Practitioners spreading the Nine Commentaries and participating in related marches and rallies neither intend to overthrow the CCP nor take power. They only want the world's people to know about the evil nature of the CCP."

In the rally, a representative for the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) said, "On November 25, 2005, a policeman He Xuejian, in his 20s, in Zhuozhou, Hebei Province unlawfully interrogated two practitioners: 51-year-old Liu Jizhi and 42-year-old Han Yuzhi. The he raped them. Other police in the substation did not try to stop it, but provided a convenient environment or left them alone. The occurrence of such atrocities is a result of the CCP's instigation and protection of lawless law-enforcement personnel. The CCP fabricates lies to deceive people, breeds hatred and maintains state terrorism with violence."

Representatives from the Global Service Center for Quitting CCP and New York Service Center for Quitting CCP, and democracy activists such as the chairman of the Chinese Democratic Party World Federation, chief editor of Web Digest, and the chairman of China Peace also made speeches at the rally.

After the rally, the participants conducted a grand parade, attracting crowds of people. The procession started with dragon and lion dancing, followed by a drum team, banner team, and ended with a waist drum team. The participants in the parade include many Chinese people as well as westerners of different ethnic origins.

Through the Nine Commentaries and quitting the CCP events, many people have come to know about the CCP's persecution of the Chinese people for more than a half century--and that it is ongoing. A viewer, Mr. Liu, said that he issued a statement withdrawing from the CCP Youth League when the total withdrawals had reached one million.

Ms. Wei from New York pointed out, "The persecution of Falun Gong is ongoing. The CCP continues its systematic, brutal persecution of the Chinese people. According to the Minghui website, so far at least 2792 practitioners have been tortured to death, at least 6000 unlawfully imprisoned and more than 100,000 practitioners unlawfully sent to labor camps.

A Chinese couple said, "The CCP is the worst. We came to the US many years ago because of the CCP's persecution. The CCP can fabricate lies at will based on its own needs."

During and after the parade, many volunteers distributed the Nine Commentaries and other literature in Chinatown.

As December 10, 2005 was International Human Rights Day, New York Metropolitan Area Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate to strongly condemn another unpardonable crime committed by the Chinese Communist Party. At around 2:00 p.m. on November 25, 2005, during illegal detention and interrogation at Dongchengfang Town Police Station, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province, policeman He Xuejian (in his 20s) beat and raped two women Falun Gong practitioners, Liu Jizhi (51 years old) and Han Yuzhi (42 years old) in broad daylight.

Practitioners held banners reading, "Strictly punish wicked policeman He Xuejian," "CCP transforms policemen into beasts," "Heavenly principles are most fair, those doing evil deeds will receive retribution." There was also a big banner reading, "Severely punish depraved policeman He Xuejian who raped two Falun Gong practitioners." Several practitioners gave speeches to condemn this ruthless conduct; their voices directly reached the Chinese Consulate across the street.

Representative of World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, Dr. Huang, pointed out in his speech that since December 1, 2005, "WOIPFG" has put on record the rape of women Falun Gong practitioners by Hebei police as a key case to investigate. Sixty seven Falun Gong practitioners are verified to have died in Zhuozhou City, ranking it No. 1 in Hebei Province. Three hundred and eighty practitioners have died in Hebei, among the most severe areas in China. "WOIPFG" will conduct a comprehensive investigation from today regarding the main responsible units and responsible persons involved in the case and further verify the facts, and at the same time, submit the facts and evidence gathered to international courts, human rights organizations and different governments. They will also file a lawsuit against them and expose their illegal acts in their participation in the persecution of Falun Gong. According to the related bill that "foreign officials who persecute freedom of beliefs and their spouses and children are not allowed to enter democratic countries," their criminal records will be delivered to customs and immigration departments of different countries to put on record.

Representative for Falun Gong practitioners, Ms. Zhang, shouted out a message to the Chinese Consulate, "Heavenly principles are most fair, doing evil deeds will receive retributions." Ms. Zhang pointed out that 51-year-old Liu Jizhi is the mother of two daughters, and 42-year-old Han Yuzhi is the mother of three children. They benefited physically and mentally after practicing Falun Gong. Depraved policeman He Xuejian in his 20s raped them at the office of the town police station, while other policemen were present from beginning to end. It is part of the cruel policy implemented to persecute Falun Gong by the Jiang regime that transformed a policeman into a beast that rapes mothers. It is a heavenly principle that good will be rewarded and evil will receive retribution. The chief perpetrators and their accomplices will definitely be punished by the heaven.

A representative for the Global Rescue Committee, Dr. He, made a speech. He first expressed respect to Falun Gong practitioner Liu Jizhi, who is in great agony but can stand up courageously to expose the evil deeds! The Global Rescue calls for all kind-hearted and righteous people to support her. At the same time, we strongly condemn the police rapist's hoodlum crimes. Dr. He expressed that the incident is not at all an isolated case, nor is it simply a matter of the police's quality. The reason that the policeman's act of violence took place is because the CCP backs it up and instigates it. The police's act of violence was closely related to the CCP policies that encourage the committing crimes, that organizationally implement the crimes, that cover up and rewarding criminal behavior, and that connive with and appease criminals. Falun Gong has been senselessly persecuted in mainland China for over six years, and at least 2790 practitioners have died from the persecution as a result. In the past six years, Falun Gong practitioners have been subjected to arbitrary mistreatment and abuse, arbitrary torture, and vehement assault without restraint, leading to a series of tragic and inhuman incidents taking place across the country. The Global Rescue and other related organizations will closely cooperate with each other and expose the wicked crimes to the public. Regardless of whether the time is long or short, we will definitely bring the chief perpetrators and their accomplices to justice.
