According to sources in China, on November 26, 2005, twenty-nine Falun Gong practitioners were surrounded and then arrested while attending an experience sharing conference in Lunan County, Linyi City, Shandong Province. Among those twenty-nine practitioners, Ms. Sun Maoqin is from Lanshan District, Linyi City; the rest are mostly from Lunan County. Ms. Sun Maoqin is now confined in the Linyi City brainwashing center, as are Ms. Zhao Xiaowei and Ms. Yang Guangzhen.

On August 11-12, 2005, members of the Lunan County 610 Office and Police Department and police from the Dadian Town, Yanbin Town, Town East and Town West Stations ransacked more ten Falun Gong practitioners' homes, harassed their families, and arrested many practitioners.

The Linyi City brainwashing center is an evil place that has tortured countless Falun Gong practitioners. On June 20, 2002, Ms. Zhou Xiangmei (a practitioner, employee of Nanfang Credit Union, located in Lanshan District) was surrounded at her office by police who were trying to send her to this brainwashing center. In order to escape, she was climbing down from a fifth floor window with a rope that she made with bed sheets, when she fell and died.

The Pingantai Forced Labor Camp has been used as a place to torture Falun Gong practitioners in Gansu Province since the persecution began. Several hundred practitioners have been held here. The guard and inmates, many of whom are drug addicts, have used various brutal methods to persecute practitioners. They have used sleep deprivation, brainwashing, beatings, psychological abuse, and other forms of persecution against the practitioners.

9. Bent over and locked: Practitioners are hung on a hook on the wall or on a high bed by their hands, which are handcuffed behind their backs. They cannot stand up or sit down, which makes their lower back, arms and legs hurt tremendously.

10: Kicking the calves and kicking the chest:

a. Guards furiously kick practitioners' calves, which makes them unable to walk.

b. Practitioners are first forced to sit down. Guards kick their chest, which causes shortness of breath, vomiting, and also causes pain in the throat, eyes and chest area.

11. Hanging between two beds: Practitioners are hung up by their hands handcuffed behind their back. Their feet are locked onto two beds and their torsos are suspended in the air. Guards kick the beds apart so that the distance between the beds widens and practitioners' limbs are stretched, which causes extreme pain and injures their wrists and ankles. The hands and feet feel numb, even after a few months.

12. Hanging up: Practitioners' arms are stretched and locked onto two beds. They are usually locked for ten days, and are customarily released for one daily meal and one bathroom break only. Guards forced them to keep their eyes open and the body straight for up to ten days. After being released from this torture they feel severe pain everywhere. Their eyes are swollen and their eyesight is seriously damaged. Sometimes they even suffer hallucinations.

13. Standing over the benches: Practitioners are forced to stand up with two or three small benches between their feet for a long time, which causes extreme pain in their legs.

14. Chopsticks torture: Guards put a chopstick between the practitioners' fingers. One guard pinches the fingers tight and another one rotates the chopstick between the fingers (Translator's note: chopsticks in China are rectangular, not round; if one rotates it between the fingers it will cause pain and injury.) The two fingers would immediately bleed and the flesh is seriously abraded. The guard, after breaking open the flesh on two fingers, would not stop. They would go after another set of two fingers and start another round of such torture. This torture damages the fingers severely and the victim cannot hold onto anything. After the wound has healed, the numbness won't go away until a few months later.

15. Hitting one's head against a wall: Two guards hold the practitioner's arms and hit his head against a wall, which causes great pain. It often takes more than one week for the victim to recover.

16. Gagging and beating: Guards insert dirty socks into the practitioners' mouths, tie their hands behind their backs and beat them.

The tortures in use in the Pingantai Forced Labor Camp also include the following:

Long-term sleep deprivation - practitioners are only permitted two hours of sleep in a 24-hour period. They also have to do heavy labor in the daytime. This kind of abuse usually lasts one or two months and exhausts practitioners both physically and mentally.

Forced standing - practitioners are forced to stand on one leg for a long time. The torture lasts six or seven hours every day. If they cannot hold the position, then they are physically and verbally abused.

Educational conference - Although it is called "education," it is actually verbal abuse. During this so-called conference, the criminals verbally abuse practitioners under orders from the guards. Guards defame practitioners and the founder of Falun Gong. They also speak lies to slander Falun Gong and make other criminals hate the practitioners.

As stated above, the guards in the Pingantai Forced Labor Camp used all kinds of methods to torture Falun Gong practitioners. Guards Xu Wanjun, Lian Jincai and criminal Ma Chenglin beat practitioner Ma Yuefen and broke his leg as soon as he arrived at the labor camp. They also forced Ma to do heavy labor for one week before his leg was completely recovered. Later, since his leg was getting worse and worse, they sent him to a hospital. Ma Yuefen's family saw this when visiting. They then told Lian Jincai and Xu Wanjun, "We won't let you get away with it if it was you who broke his leg!" Lian said to Ma Yuefen, "I was just carrying out an order I got it from a superior officer! Please don't sue me after you are released, for I have family too." Ma Yuefen said, "None of you can avoid punishment, because it is the heavenly principle that evil deeds will result in karmic retribution!"

When Lian Jincai was the chief of the Second Group of the Third Team, he persecuted many practitioners with extremely cruel methods. His wife Hu was a chief in the women's team and also tortured the practitioners. After she beat practitioner Hou Youfang to death, she claimed that Hou Youfang had fallen and died when she tried to escape. Several farmers witnessed how Hou Youfang was beaten to death. The labor camp then paid off those farmers with several hundred yuan and made them lie about Hou Youfang's death. Later, when we were doing manual labor in the field, a person from the women's team told us about it. Hu was later fired.

Since the public is learning more and more the truth about Falun Gong, the tortures became more covert. Guards started to torment practitioners mentally under the guise of "educating, reforming and rescuing practitioners." But sometimes they would show their true colors and order criminals to beat practitioners. They sometimes locked practitioners into a solitary cell and hung them up for a long time. After several days of torture, practitioners were hungry, thirsty, and in pain; then the guards would pretend to be nice. They would do some small favors for the practitioners such as telling criminals to massage their arms or give them instant noodles. Some practitioners were thus tricked and wrote a guarantee statement.

The Sixth Team's political head Xu Wanjun's torture of Falun Gong practitioners were exposed on the Internet. He was not ashamed by it; instead, he was proud of it. He also told lies in the "educational class" and made criminals hate Falun Gong practitioners. The deputy chief of the Sixth Team named Wang was promoted for persecuting the practitioners. After his promotion, he realized that torturing practitioners was a way to further his career. He often verbally abuses practitioners. Another political head in the Sixth Team, Han Ximing, also humiliates, beats and tortures Falun Gong practitioners. Guard Li Wenhui is in charge of persecuting practitioners in the Sixth Team. Practitioner Bai Guixiang was verbally abused in this so-called "educational class" because he refused to renounce his belief.

Practitioner Si Yongqian was hung up by the hands tied to two beds and stretched for more than ten days. After being released, his eyes were swollen and he temporarily lost his eyesight. Guard Ma Chengzu frequently insults Si Yongqian in front of others and beats him, but Si Yongqian responded only with kindness. Even the criminals said that Si Yongqian is too kind. Practitioner Chen Gang was only allowed to have two hours of sleep per day for four months. He was forced to do heavy labor in the daytime, also. After work, he was forced to sit in the corner of the room and not allowed to move.

The management section in the labor camp conducted a survey to see if there are thugs and guards who beat the prisoners. Practitioner Wang Shuqun wrote on the survey form, "Beatings constantly happen here." As the result she was forced to run and jump up continuously six or seven hours every day for a month.

None of the Falun Gong practitioners had any freedom in the labor camp. They even had to ask for permission to use the toilet. The chief of the team constantly instigated the guards to beat or insult the practitioners. Practitioners who uphold their belief are treated as enemies. If they stand up for the truth, the chief routinely orders guards to take them to solitary cells for several days of torture.

When using this torture method, the guards beat the practitioner with wood sticks, and then wrap the practitioner inside a thick quilt with the head inside the quilt and the feet sticking out. The practitioners can barely breathe. Two guards sit on the blanket and press hard on the head and chest, while another guard shocks the victim's feet with an electric baton. Within half an hour, the victim loses consciousness. The minute the victim regains consciousness, the guards viciously punch his face until his mouth bleeds, his face swells, and his teeth loosen.

This is also a very cruel torture method. The guards lock the practitioner in an iron cage with both hands cuffed to the iron bars of the cage. A guard holds the victim's head from outside the cage and presses the victim's eyeballs very hard with both thumbs. The victim is in extreme pain and loses his sight for over half an hour. (Guard Liu Dong tortured practitioners with this method.) The guards also burn practitioners' fingers and squeeze hard on the practitioners' genitals.

Hanging Method I: The practitioner's hands are cuffed and he is hung by the handcuffs from an iron gate. The guards, in the presence of Zhang Haiping and Jin Fuli, beat the practitioner viciously. To show loyalty to their supervisors, the guards put the electric baton in the practitioner's mouth and shock the mouth. The victim suffers severe pain. It takes a long time to recover.

Hanging Method II: This torture is also known as tilted cuffing. The practitioner is handcuffed to an iron gate with one hand at the top and the other at the bottom. His shoulders are stretched and tilted at the same time to the maximum possible degree. He cannot move, stand up or change his position. Most of the body weight is put on one leg and the head cannot be held upright, which makes breathing hard. The pain is excruciating.

Hanging Method III: This torture is also known as horizontal straight cuffing The practitioner's arms are stretched horizontally to the maximum degree and cuffed on an iron gate. After a long time in this position, the victim's shoulders may be dislocated; the arms become stiff and the victim moves with great difficulty.

Hanging Method IV: This torture is also known as hanging cuffing. The practitioner's arms are held together, stretched and cuffed to an iron gate.

The practitioner must cross his legs into a double lotus position, and then his body is forced to the ground with the face down. The practitioner's arms are then twisted behind his back and pulled as much as possible toward his head. One of the guards then steps on the practitioner's arms, while another one steps on his back, and a third guard steps on his neck. Then, the guards beat the practitioner's back with a wooden stick. Inmates Wang Jing, Shen Chuang, Guo Laowu, and Han Shuping also participated in torturing the practitioners.

Torture Method 13: Force-feeding

1. The practitioner's arms are fixed on the armrest of an iron chair, and placed inside iron rings. His legs are kept in place by leather strips and iron rings. The upper part of the body is tied to the back of the chair with leather stripes. Thus the practitioner is tightly fixed to the chair. See Figure 49.

2. Should the practitioner refuse to cooperate, the prison doctor pinches and hurts the practitioner's face (the parts below the cheekbones). The guards use the handle of a screwdriver to hit the practitioner's face and to force his mouth open. See Figure 50.

3. Should the above method fail, the prison doctor uses a pry instrument that is 1-foot-long and 1.5-inch-wide to open the practitioner's mouth (Figure 51). The doctor also may use pliers to open the practitioner's mouth. After the mouth is opened, the pliers are left inside the mouth pressing against the throat. This causes breathing difficulties. The front teeth become loosened or may fall out due to the prying. A lot of blood flows from the mouth. See Figure 51, 52.

4. Figure 53, 54, and 55: Force-feeding. The guards insert a tube about as wide as a finger through the practitioner's nose into the stomach. As a form of torture, they insert and pull out the tube repeatedly until the practitioner suffers excruciating pain and his whole body convulses. They then force-feed horrible smelling stuff to the practitioner, not as a nutrient, but as a form of punishment.

After the force-feeding, guards and prison doctors use very thick needles to inject unknown drugs into the practitioner's abdomen and leg. Then they put the practitioner into a small cell. After 10-20 minutes, the practitioner will vomit and suffer severe diarrhea, lasting for about 2 hours. Then the practitioners feels extreme thirst. Some practitioners almost lose consciousness, though their eyes are wide open and unmovable. The guards record the practitioners' symptoms in detail. We assume that these tortures were actually experiments with the drug. This torture has been going on since October 2000. Persecutors include guard Zhang Haiping, Jin Fuli, Ma Yong, Shi Qingshan and several inmates. In 2005, two law-enforcement superiors also watched the tortures. Practitioners tortured like this include Shi Baodong, Wang Zhoushan, Wang Wenqing, and Wang Guiling.

Torture Method 15: Pushing into a corner

The practitioner is taken to the torture room and a hard hat is put on the head. Guards handcuff the practitioner's hands behind his back, and then push the practitioner into a corner of the room with a big chest. They forbid the practitioner to sit, sleep, or lean against the wall. When the practitioner closes his eyes, the guards hit the hard hat cruelly with wooden sticks. They also force the practitioner to watch video programs that slander Falun Gong, turning the volume up as high as possible. If the practitioner remains firm in his belief, they shock the practitioner's head, face, neck, back, or penis with electric batons. The most vicious guards are Li Songtao, Feng Zibin, Zhang Chunfeng, and Wang Jianguo. Feng Zibin once said, "We will let you rot in here if you refuse to "reform"."

The head of the labor camp Zhang Haiping and Jin Fuli gave instructions, and guards in Group No. 2 directly participated in torturing practitioners. The guards are: Li Songtao, Han Lihua, Feng Zibin, Zhang Chunfeng, Zhang Jiabin, Mu Jinsheng, Mu Huaisheng, Wang Jianguo, Yan Guosheng, Han Jianjun, Yang Tinglun, and prison doctor Shi Qingshan. These guards were divided into three teams, and each team was assigned some inmates. After the torture, practitioners' legs had turned black and purple, the bones were deformed and they could not walk or concentrate. Even after a few weeks and, for some, as long as two years later, the practitioners could still not walk normally.

The practitioner is fixed to an iron chair. The guards then shock the practitioner's neck, chin, and abdomen repeatedly. The torture continues until the practitioner reforms. The practitioners' bodies have burn injuries, and their clothing sticks to their body.

The police from Lianshan District National Security Group in Huludao City, Liaoning Province arrested Falun Gong Practitioner Yang Hong and her daughter. The arrest happened in her home in Huludao City on November 18, 2005. The charge was "using a computer to visit the Minghui website."

Ms. Yang Hong, 49 years old, lived in the Dongmen District in Huludao City. She was sentenced to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp twice, where she suffered from all kinds of torture. Unable to bear the persecution of their loved one, her husband and 81-year old father died in succession. Her daughter's college expelled her from school for practicing Falun Gong.

Yang Hong was sentenced to three years of forced labor for going to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong in 1999. In October 2001, she left the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp when she was given a reprieve to attend her father's funeral. Since then, in order to avoid harassment from the police, she and her daughter stayed away from their home.

On April 1, 2004, the police from Lianshan District National Security Group arrested Yang Hong and her daughter in the house they had rented. Yang was again sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Two months later she showed severe symptoms of insufficient blood supply to her heart muscle, rapid heart rate, kidney function failure and other ailments. On June 8 she was sent back to the Huludao City Detention Center. On June 9 she was allowed to go home on medical parole because of her poor health. She weighed only a little over 77 lbs. then. Her daughter was released after being held in the detention center for about one month.

In the morning of November 18, 2005, the Lianshan District National Security Group police again broke into Yang's home and arrested her and her daughter on the grounds that Yang Hong and her daughter used a computer to log on to the Minghui website. The police also confiscated their computer that is worth over 5,000 Yuan, as well as their Falun Gong books. Yang Hong's daughter was later released.

At present, Falun Gong practitioner Yang Hong is still being persecuted in the Huludao City Detention Center. We urgently appeal to the kind people in the world to help rescue the Falun Gong practitioners who are suffering in China.

Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Wang Xiaodong, Mr.Yang Dong, Ms. Gao Yalu and Ms. Sun Shufang, residents of Chifeng City in Inner Mongolia, were arrested by local police on November 22, 2005. They are being held at the Songshan District Detention Center in Chifeng City. More details are being investigated.

Around 10:00 a.m. on November 22, 2005, two officers from the Songshan District Police Department in Chifeng City arrested Falun Gong practitioner Wang Xiaodong in the street. Around 6:00 p.m. the same day, the police broke into the home of practitioners Yang Dong and his wife Gao Yalu, and also practitioner Sun Shufang's home, and arrested all three of them.

Between August 2005 and November 2005, the police in Chifeng City have been continuously arresting Falun Gong practitioners.

Practitioner Mr. Wang Xiaodong, 29 years old, lived at the family dormitory of the Erdong Street Environmental Sanitation Office in Hongshan District, Chifeng City. Before 1999, he worked at Hongshan District Procuratorate. In September 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong and was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor. He persisted in his belief in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance, and his sentence was extended four times for a total of ten months. During the detention, Wang Xiaodong held a hunger strike and was force-fed. His term was extended by three months. During the time he was held at Tumuji Labor Camp, Wang Xiaodong was shocked with electric batons, and his term was extended another three times for seven additional months. He had lost his job by the time he went home and the local authorities constantly harassed him. He left home in order to make a living, but the police arrested him.

Yang Dong lived at Division 6 in Yazihe, the Songshan District. He was twice sentenced to forced labor for refusing to renounce Falun Gong. He was first held at the Chifeng Forced Labor Camp for one year and then at the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp for two years. He was savagely tortured at the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp. He was cruelly beaten, handcuffed, detained in solitary confinement and was not allowed to sleep for 17 days. After he returned home in February 2003, the police harassed him at his home many times. In order to provide for his family, Yang Dong worked as a miner. The police went into the coal mine and arrested Yang Dong. They sent Yang Dong to brainwashing. Yang Dong owned a copy shop before he was sent to the labor camp for the first time. In December 2001, the police claimed that Yang Dong's wife, Gao Yalu, was printing truth clarification materials and they arrested her. They took two copying machines, two computers, one printer, and one express printer. They also fined Yang Dong's family 3,000 yuan without issuing a receipt. Yang Dong's family lost their source of income and are now struggling to make ends meet.

On November 29, 2005, three police officers from Yingzi Township Police Station in Siguan Area, Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province broke into Mr. Gao Minghui's home in Laoyemiao Village of Yingzi Township and arrested Mr. Gao.

Police from Goumenzi Police Station, Lingyuan City arrested Mr. Chen Qingshan at his home in Goumenzi shortly after he returned from work. Messrs. Li Jun and Liu Long, who were recently arrested, were illegally sent to Chaoyang Forced Labor Camp.

Police from Dao'erdeng Police Station of Lingyuan City arrested Ms. Wei Feng and Ms. Bao Guozhi; the two women are currently illegally detained at the Second Detention Center of Lingyuan City.

Ms. Gao Xiuxian, a 70-year-old resident of Ershiwulibao, Lingyuan City was arrested on October 6 and has been illegally detained at the First Detention Center of Lingyuan City for more than two months now.

On November 23, police and staff of the 610 Office abducted Mr. Yan Zhonghua and Mr. Li Zhibiao from their workplace and sent them to the Liaoning Province brainwashing class. Each of them was put in a separate room with a brainwashing "assistant" and a "collaborator." No family member is allowed to visit. Materials sent by family members are also carefully screened.

3. [Shanghai City] Yan Meizhen from Nanhui District Was Arrested at Work

On November 9, 2005, police officer Wang Minghua from Waxie Police Station conned Ms. Yan Meizhen from Nanhui District, Shanghai, into coming to the police station. Ms. Yan had been at work at that time. After she arrived at the police station, police and staff from the 610 Office arrested her and raided her home.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Xia Xiutian and Li Shuzhong from Dengshahe Township of Jinzhou District Were Illegally Arrested

On the evening of December 6, 2005, Ms. Xia Xiutian and Ms. Li Shuzhong were illegally arrested by the police from Biaofang Border Police Station while distributing truth clarification materials at Zhengmingsi in Dalijia Township. At about 6:00 p.m. on December 7, police from Biaofang Police Station raided their homes. Xia Xiutian is currently detained at the Economic Development Zone Detention Center, and Li Shuzhong is currently detained at Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian.

5. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Seven people, Including Liao Xiaohui, Were Arrested

At about 4:00 p.m. on November 23, 2005, Ms. Liao Xiaohui and Mr. He Fuming were posting truth-clarification materials about Falun Gong near the rental apartments in Qingxiangping, Panzhihua City, when an elderly man reported them to the police. At about 5:00 p.m., the police arrested them and raided their homes.

On the morning of November 24, 2005, Mr. You Yuanzhang was at work when the police arrested him and raided his home.

On the afternoon of November 25, 2005, Ms. Yao Jiaxiu, Ms. Xiao Huizai and Ms. Li Daizhen were arrested on the Qingxiangping Square in Panzhihua City.

At about 6:00 p.m. on November 27, 2005, Mr. Liu Guoxing, who had only been released several months ago from two years of forced labor, was arrested when he was distributing truth-clarification materials at a place 54 kilometers away from Panzhihua City.

6. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Zhang Xia from Xuanhua County Was Arrested

At about 3:00 p.m. on November 30, 2005, three police officers from Jiajiaying Township Police Station in Xuanhua County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, went to Mr. Cheng Guangming's home in Jiajiaying and raided his home. Mr. Cheng escaped.

Later, the police went to Ms. Zhang Xia's home in Gangguanchang (Steel Pipe Factory), Jiajiaying, raided her home, took Ms. Zhang Xia away and detained her at the Xuanhua Detention Center.

1. [Benxi, Liaoning Province] Benxi City Forced Labor Camp Tortured Falun Gong Practitioners with "Body Stretching"

There are 27 Falun Gong practitioners being detained in the Benxi City Forced Labor Camp. Since September 2005, the police have been torturing firm practitioners with a cruel method known as "Body Stretching" (A person is hung in an iron cage and his body stretched to the point that it begins to tear apart). They secured the practitioners' wrists and ankles, and the practitioners' bodies were suspended in the air. The pain is excruciating. They tortured the practitioners one by one. One practitioner was tortured by this method for 28 days.

2. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhan Shuxue Arrested When Distributing Truth-Clarifying Flyers

At 10:00 a.m. on December 12, 2005, the police from the Rizhuang Police station arrested practitioner Ms. Zhan Shuxue from Yuanli Village, Rizhuang Town, Laixi City, Shandong Province, when she was distributing truth-clarifying flyers. Two hours later, the police ransacked her home. Her daughter Ms. Wang Chunyan, a practitioner, tore up the "search warrant" on the spot, and was also arrested. The police searched her home thoroughly, and confiscated many truth-clarifying materials, Falun Gong books, tape recorders, cell phones, two bank cards, and a photocopy machine. Zhan Shuxue and her daughter are being held in the Laixi Detention Center.

3. [Ningxia Province] The Persecution of Ms. Yang Jie

Practitioner Ms. Yang Jie from Zhongwei City, Ningxia Province went to Beijing twice to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. She was sentenced to a forced labor camp for two years. During the detention, Ms. Yang's term was extended by one year because she tried to appeal through legal channels and refused to give up her belief.

While in the Ningxia Women's Forced Labor Camp, Ms. Yang was forced to do excessive workloads of 16 or 17 hours every day. She was shocked by electric batons, forced-fed, handcuffed behind her back, and hung up by handcuffs. Police officers also instigated inmates to beat her. She was ordered to stand facing a wall or to sit on a small stool for an extended period. They played TV programs that slandered Falun Gong and tried to brainwash her. Ms. Yang suffered a great deal both physically and emotionally.

In September 2003, Ms. Yang was released from the forced labor camp. Because the National Security Group of the Police Station often harassed her, Ms. Yang was forced to become homeless to avoid persecution. On October 2, 2005, the police from the Huinong District, Shizuishan City, Ningxia Province found her and arrested her again.

4. [Dingzhou, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Yueying Sentenced to a Forced Labor Camp for 21 Months

Ms. Liu Yueying from Saili Village, Ziwei Township, Dingzhou City was sentenced to a forced labor camp for 21 months. She is being detained in the Baoding Forced Labor Camp.

5. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Ms. Song Sanling Arrested

Practitioner Ms. Song Sanling from Anshan City, Liaoning Province, born in 1977, was a teacher at the Gailun Foreign Language School. She was arrested in the Nanhu area of Anshan City. The material producing site was damaged.

6. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Zhu Fangxia and Other Practitioners Arrested and Detained at the Maoming Brainwashing Center

On December 12, 2005, Zhu Fangxia, Kang Shaozhen, Cen Shaozhen, and Shi Xiuping were arrested and detained at the Maoming Brainwashing Center. The families were only allowed to send clothes and blankets, but not allowed to visit them.

7. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] The Police from the Tashan Police Station Arrest Liu Deqing and Jiao Wanhui When Distributing Truth Clarifying Flyers

On October 29, 2005, police officers from the Tashan police station arrested Liu Deqing and Jiao Wanhui from the Jinzhou Heavy Machinery Factory. They are being held at the Huludao City Detention Center.

Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Zhao Juanjuan and her daughter Lu Jianwen arrested again by 610 Office agents

Practitioner Ms. Zhao Juanjuan in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, is in her late 60s. She has been arrested several times over the past few years and has been sent to brainwashing centers and labor camps. She was also detained at a mental hospital for a period of time. Her daughter, Lu Jianwen, was sentenced to two years of forced labor for practicing Falun Gong. Officials Zhou Guicheng and Zheng Yunqing in Taoyuan, Hunan Province, persecute Falun Gong practitioners

Officials Zhou Guicheng and Zheng Yunqing in Taoyuan, Hunan Province, have sent practitioners to labor camps and custody centers and have fined them and stopped their salaries. Recently, 51-year-old Wang Jinyu as well as Tang Jianru and Jian Zhigang, all practitioners, were arrested and sent to a brainwashing center. They were each forced to pay a 2,000 yuan fee for the brainwashing.

Practitioners Chen Yongmei and Luo Qing, who are retired, have left home to avoid arrest and are now living in exile.
