It was reported that under the order of the Sichuan Provincial Labor Camp Bureau, Guangyuan Jail launched a brutal persecution of steadfast Falun Gong practitioners. The chief of the jail Wei Jiancheng, the deputy captain of the second group Ran Wei, and the party secretary of the second group Yao Baocheng all participated.

On May 11, 2005, at the third district of the second group, Tang Bing, Wang Yijian, someone surnamed Gou, and other prison guards beat Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Min Chengjun, Mr. Zhang Rui, and Mr. Bai and forced them to wear prison uniforms and do long hours of heavy physical labor.

On May 9, 2005, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhu Wenhui from Panzhihua was imprisoned in the third squadron of the second group. On May 10, several Falun Gong practitioners, including a well-respected former policeman Xu Langzhou from Panzhihua, were locked up in the fifth squadron of the second group. On May 12, the prison guards forced Falun Gong practitioners to wear prison uniforms. On May 13, they forced them to do heavy labor.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Xu Weidong did not obey the prison guard's orders, so he was hung up by handcuffs by prison guard Wang Bin and was left in the pouring rain for two hours. Later, the chief of the fifth squadron Chen Liang, prison guards Wang Bin, Zhou Guangyong, He Tao, and others stripped off his clothes, leaving him in only his underwear. They then handcuffed him to an iron gate and forcefully put a prison uniform on him. Later Mr. Xu was dragged to the playground by criminal inmates Ma Shiyin and Su Xiaoping.

Although Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wei Yi from Xichang city was 63 years old, he was still forced to sift sand under the scorching sun. At the third squadron, Mr. Min Qinjun's buttocks were injured from being beaten by a prison guard. The deputy chief at the Control and Education Section of the second group He Zhong conversed with Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Cao Jiguang and tried to brainwash him.

On April 12, Falun Gong practitioner Min Chengjun was severely beaten by a prison guard, and Mr. Lin Jun was beaten by a prison guard named Deng Peixin.

For each Falun Gong practitioner, the Guangyuan Jail appoints 2 or 3 prisoners to strictly monitor the practitioner in shifts around the clock. Falun Gong practitioners are not allowed to talk among themselves or to have any form of contact. Falun Gong practitioners' daily behaviors are also recorded. The contents include what they eat, how much they eat, how long they use the restroom, how much time and how often they do everything, even including standing, sitting, lying down, and other detailed body movements. A record of all this is made every 2 to 3 hours. The authorities also fabricate study records in order to fill out the forms when the higher authorities come to inspect the jail.

Everyone in the first group in Guangyuan Jail is forced to shovel coal. The prison guards all use violence to force the detainees to do so. The small coal pit frequently has accidents, resulting in the deaths of multiple people involved.

At the beginning of May 2005, Falun Gong student Mr. Lin Shusen from Xicheng District, Beijing City went missing. His family has lost all contact with him for nearly one month. His family is located in Heilongjiang Province, a considerable distance from Beijing. They have tried very hard to locate him and have learned that he was arrested in Beijing. They are not sure whether he is alive or not. More details are under investigation.

Mr. Lin Shusen is 32 years old and lives in Xicheng District, Beijing. His hometown is Qing'an County, Heilongjiang Province. He graduated from the Beijing Acupuncture Orthodox Vocational School.

The arrest of Mr. Lin Shusen has raised serious concern in his hometown. Mr. Lin Shusen obtained the Falun Gong in 1996. He adhered to his belief after the persecution began in 1999. He was arrested by the Beijing First Police Department in 2001 and sentenced to three years in prison. He was forced to serve his term in the Qianjin Prison (under Qinghe Police Department of Beijing City) located in Chadian, Tianjin City starting on January 17, 2001. In an attempt to make him give up his faith, he was tortured in Qianjin Prison with the dead person's bed (1), electric baton shocks, sleep deprivation, handcuffed behind his back, and forced-brainwashing. After all the mental and physical tortures used on him failed to make him relinquish his faith in Falun Gong, he was tortured with eleven electric batons simultaneously, producing a voltage as high as hundreds of thousands of volts. This cruel tortured caused him to suffer a mental collapse, which he did not recover from for more than six months.

The family of Mr. Lin Shusen has called on all kind-hearted people in the world to extend a helping hand to stop this most evil persecution of Falun Gong.

We are watching closely the search for and investigation of Mr. Lin Shusen.

The four limbs of the practitioner are stretched out and tied to the four corners of an icy-cold metal bed. The practitioner cannot move at all. Neither is he allowed to get up to eat, drink, or go to the bathroom. This treatment would last from several hours up to more than a dozen days. Ms. Sun Peizheng, 75 years old, was a practitioner from Laishan District, Yantai City, Shandong Province. She had suffered rheumatism, gastritis, stiff shoulders and so on. She became healthy after she began to practice Falun Gong. In 2000, her daughter went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. She was arrested and detained, and her home was ransacked. Ms. Sun was devastated and had a stroke. While recovering under her daughter's care, staff from the local government and police took her daughter to a brainwashing center. Ms. Sun was devastated. In 2002, her other daughter was detained, her home was ransacked, and she too was sent to a brainwashing center for validating Falun Gong. Ms. Song was again traumatized. Because she had lived in constant fear, she had a heart attack and passed away on December 25, 2003.

Ms. Fu Xiulan, 60 years old, was a teacher at No. 6 Elementary School in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. She regained her health after practicing Falun Gong. After the persecution started, police officer Yan Weidong from Nangang Police Station of Qianjing District, Jiamusi City, frequently harassed her. As a result, Ms. Fu left home and became homeless for over two years to avoid the persecution. Later, she became afflicted with liver cancer and died on May 3, 2005.

Ms. Li Zhifang, 72 years old, was a practitioner from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. Ms. Li recovered from severe tracheitis after she started practicing Falun Gong. After the persecution started, the police from Nangang Police Station often went to her home and harassed her. Ms. Li's youngest son was sent to a forced labor camp for practicing Falun Gong. Ms. Li became very weak from the persecution and was hospitalized. During a citywide arrest in April of 2002, the lawless officers came again to her home to harass her. Ms. Li told them, "Stop harassing us. I'd rather die [than endure it]." Under the pressure, Ms. Li died in May 2002.

Ms. Bao Zhengrong, 78 years old, was a resident at the Third Unit of Shuangguo Village, Guanying Township, Miyi County, Sichuan Province. Because she was steadfast in practicing Falun Gong, the State Security Unit of Miyi County ransacked her home on September 5, 2002. Later, Ms. Bao was frequently harassed. Suffering continued persecution and terror, she died suddenly on June 8, 2003.

Ms. Wang Shuzheng, 63 years old, was a practitioner from Yitong County, Jilin Province. She began to practice Falun Gong in April of 1996. After practicing she no longer suffered from many of her illnesses. She was in good physical and mental health. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, the police detained and interrogated Ms. Wang many times. She was kept away from home and from taking care of her husband, who had suffered a stroke and was an invalid. The police often searched her home. Her entire family was affected and under constant pressure. Due to the prolonged persecution, Ms Wang's illnesses recurred. She died in July of 2001.

Ms. Zhang Yuqing, 64 years old, was a practitioner from Changchun City, Jilin Province. She suffered many illnesses. In 1997, she began to practice Falun Gong and soon became healthy again. After the onset of the persecution, the police often harassed her. Her family members also pressured her to renounce the practice. Ms. Zhang had lost her environment to study the Fa and practice the exercises peacefully. She was under a lot of pressure. She became ill again and had a severe cough. Soon she was not able to eat anything and passed away on March 28, 2005.

Mr. Zhang Haichuan, 69 years old, was from Xinming Village, Manzu Township, Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province. Mr. Zhang began to practice Falun Gong in 1995. Thanks to the practice, he became healthy again. After the persecution started, the police often went to his home and harassed him. He lost his peaceful environment to practice the exercises and study the Fa. His daughter-in-law was sent to a forced labor camp. Mr. Zhang suffered greatly from the persecution. He became ill again and died on February 18, 2005.

Mr. Liu Zhenling, 39 years old, was a practitioner from Wangcheng Township, Wei County, Hebei Province. After the persecution began, staff from the local government detained him several times and he was forced to write the three statements. Even after his release, he was forced to contact the government agency three times a day. He was often threatened. They said, "People like you will be punished." Under such pressure, Mr. Liu began to lose weight. He later became afflicted with hepatitis B and died in 2002.

Ms. Hu Dajun, 85 years old, was a practitioner from Hejian City, Hebei Province. She had suffered from chronic pain in her legs and numbness in her hands and feet. She was not able to take care of herself because of her illnesses. In 1998, she began to practice Falun Gong. She regained her health through the practice and her life changed for the better. After the persecution started, Ms. Hu lost her cultivation environment. She became ill again and died in 2004.

Ms. Wang Heini, 56 years old, was from Cuilu Village, Nanshimen Township, Xingtai City, Hebei Province. Ms. Wang had hypertension and chronic pain in her back and legs. After she began to practice Falun Gong, she benefited from it physically and mentally. She tried to be a good person no matter where she was. Her family members were glad to see the changes in her. Her husband in particular was supportive of her practicing Falun Gong, and even helped her to do Falun Gong related projects. After the persecution started, Ms. Wang held firmly to her belief. She knew the media was reporting lies on the TV. Therefore, she distributed flyers to explain the truth to people. However, because the CCP engaged in terror tactics, her family members became fearful for their livelihood. They were worried that their future would be jeopardized. They pressured Ms. Wang to renounce her practice. Due to the persecution and pressure from her family, Ms. Wang had the symptoms of a stroke. She could neither move nor speak. After two years of being bed-ridden with a feeding tube inserted in her stomach, she died in October of 2002.

Ms. Liang Zhangjun was from Wudang, Hubei Province. She was 56 years old. She had congenital heart disease, which caused her face to turn dark. She was bed-ridden for many years and was hospitalized frequently. In October 1998, Ms. Liang began to study Falun Gong. In the beginning, she went to the practice site to listen to Teacher Li's lectures with the help of her daughter. Later on, she was able to go to the practice site by herself. After two or three months of practicing Falun Gong, she no longer suffered from her heart disease. She was able to plant a vegetable garden and help her sister look after her business. Everyone was surprised at the speed of her recovery.

After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, police officer Pan Shengli and other officers often went to Ms. Liang's home to harass and threaten her. Having lost her regular cultivation environment, Ms. Liang could no longer practice the exercises and study the Fa peacefully. As a result, her heart disease recurred. From 2001, her condition worsened. Police officer Pan and others still harassed her frequently. Due to these terror tactics and the pressure, Ms. Liang died in October.

Mr. Yi Honghai, 82 years old, from Liaozhong County, Liaoning Province, began to practice Falun Gong in 1997. He derived great benefit from the practice. On July 20, 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong . After he returned home, the chief of the Residents' Committee came to his home and harassed him many times. His old illnesses recurred and he died on June 20, 2003.

Ms. Xue Guizhen, 76 years old, from Liaozhong County, Liaoning Province, became a Falun Gong practitioner in 1997. She became healthy after years of suffering from illnesses. After the evil persecution started, she remained firm in practicing and validating Falun Gong. She suffered continued harassment by the chief of the Residents' Committee, and passed away on February 20, 2003.

Ms. Xi Guizhi was a 90-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Fuxin, Liaoning Province. In 1999, her family went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. They were arrested and taken to a detention center, and when they returned home, the police still harassed and threatened them frequently. The police terrorizing caused the elderly lady to suffer deep anxiety and fear in the stressful environment. She died at the end of the same year.

Ms. Zeng Xiuying, 70 years old, was a resident of Tai'an City, Shandong Province. Before 1996, she suffered from many illnesses, including cancer of the esophagus. Ms. Zeng began to practice Falun Gong at the beginning of 1997 because she wanted to become healthy. Due to the practice, her illnesses disappeared. On July 22, 1999, she appealed to the provincial government, but she was arrested and her home was ransacked. Her third daughter persisted in practicing Falun Gong and was unlawfully detained twice at a forced labor camp. Her second son's entire family became destitute to avoid the illegal persecution. Because of the prolonged persecution, Zeng Xiuying died from recurrence of her illnesses in July 2003.

Wang Shunqing, 65 years old, from Liuhe Village, Laocheng Town, Wucheng County, Shandong Province, started to practice Falun Gong in 1996. He recovered from many severe illnesses. After July 20, 1999, Wang Shunqing went to Beijing to appeal, but was intercepted by the police. He was held for seven days at the Laocheng Town government offices, where he was persecuted mentally. After he returned home, Wang Shuhai and Lin Ziyu and other people from the Laocheng Town government and Public Security Sub-bureau threatened Wang Shunqing and ransacked his the home. As a result, Wang Shunqing's illnesses recurred and he passed away on September 21, 1999.

Mr. Li Xiaomin was a 25-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Chengji Town, Jianli County, Jingzhou City, Hubei Province. He once suffered from a kidney disorder and became healthy after practicing Falun Gong. He went to Beijing to appeal in 2000 and was given a two-year prison sentence. Because he was diagnosed with a kidney disorder, Shayang Forced Labor Camp rejected him. Before he was released, he was detained at Jianli County Detention Center for five months and kept another two months at the brainwashing center. He died from kidney illness in October 2003.

Ms. Xiang Zhengxian, 73 years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Jianli County, Jingzhou City, Hubei Province. After July 20, 1999, the county's 610 Office, town local police station and residents' committee harassed her and attacked her belief many times. Once, a reporter interviewed her. Xiang Zhengxian told him about how the incurable illness she had suffered was cured after she practiced Falun Gong. The reporter tried to pressure her into talking negatively about her experience with Falun Gong. The elderly lady died from her illness in March of 2003 after continued intimidation.

Ms. Wang Guiying, over 60 years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner in Da'an City, Jilin Province. After the evil party began to persecute Falun Gong, she refused to bow to the pressure. She continued to tell people the facts and actively saved sentient beings. Due to the continued persecution, she died in 2003.

Ms. Huang Guiyun, over 60 years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner in Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province. After July 20, 1999, the police ransacked her home and harassed her frequently. Her family forbade her to practice Falun Gong. Unable to gain the health benefits of practicing Falun Gong, she died from uremia in the autumn of 2002.

Mr. Liu Yufu, over 60 years old, from Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province, began to practice Falun Gong in the spring 1999. His stomach cancer became notably better. After the persecution started on July 20, 1999, the police often harassed and threatened him. He died from his illness in the autumn of 2000.

Mr. Fan Shucheng, 76 years old, from Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province, became a Falun Gong practitioner in 1997. He became healthy after practicing Falun Gong and did not need to take any more medication or receive medical treatments. His son also became a practitioner. After July 20, 1999, his son's name was noted on the CCP's blacklist. Therefore, the authorities came to the family home frequently and threatened them. Mr. Fan suffered under the severe pressure and died on January 9, 2001.

Ms. Tan Xiuna, 37 years old, was a resident of Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province. Because of her firm belief in Falun Gong, the police frequently harassed her. They took her twice to a brainwashing center and ransacked her home three times. Her mother was unlawfully detained two times at a detention center, and then sentenced to two years of forced labor. Tan Xiuna suffered severe mental harm. The illnesses she used to suffer recurred and she died in January of 2005.

Mr. Liu Ruifeng, 74 years old, lived in Yicheng Village, Zhaogezhuang Township, Baodi District, Tianjin. Before he began to practice Falun Gong in 1997, he suffered from severe cerebral hemorrhage and was bedridden. After learning Falun Gong for half a month, he could get up to practice the exercises. Through diligent practice of Falun Gong, he gradually recovered fully. When the CCP started its persecution of Falun Gong, he lost his cultivation environment and could no longer practice regularly. His illness recurred and he died from it in 2002.

Ms. Yang Zhiqian was a 60-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Nanyuan, Shanhaiguan District, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. After July 20, 1999, the public security officers threatened him and ransacked his home. He died on November 22, 1999.

Ms. Zhu Guizhen, 84 years old, was from Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. After she began to practice Falun Gong in 1997, all of her illnesses disappeared and she became mentally and physically healthy. However, the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong caused her to lose her cultivation environment; she was no longer able to practice Falun Gong with a group. Officials from the resident's committee did not allow her to practice. Therefore, the elderly lady's illnesses recurred. She died from these illnesses on January 1, 2003.

Ms. Sun Jihua, 64 years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province. She started to practice at the end of 1996 and recovered from all of her diseases. In October 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and the police arrested her. She was illegally held for more than ten days in the Zhangjiakou City Detention Center, and fined more than 1,000 yuan. After she returned home, officers from the local police station and the local community leaders visited her home and harassed her many times. She suddenly died in March 2002.

1. Yushu City Education System in Jilin Province has Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners for the Past Few Years

Over the past few years, the Yushu City Education System has many times forced elementary and middle school teachers and students to watch videos and television shows that slander Falun Gong. They also launched a massive signature collection campaign in which teachers and students were forced to sign their names. Teachers who persisted in practicing Falun Gong were fired from their jobs. Now, when a sensitive date nears, the 610 Office puts extreme pressure on the education committee, and the committee puts pressure on each school's leaders, to force Falun Gong practitioners to give up cultivation. When practitioners are arrested, they are sent to brainwashing classes. Under this harassment, these Falun Gong practitioners lose their stable jobs, no longer have a fixed income, and their family members are plunged into great hardship.

2. Authorities in Li County of Hebei Province Continue to Persecute Falun Gong Practitioners

Li County Party Committee Assistant Secretary Ning Hongmao sentenced Falun Gong practitioners Wang Pingjun and Zhao Guo. Now, Zhu Yanfang has also been sentenced. On June 12, 2005, Ning Hongmao illegally arrested Linbao Village practitioners Zhu Yanfang and Cui Xiaogai and put them into the Linbao Village Detention Center. Cui Xiaogai walked out using righteous thoughts. Zhu Yanfang was sent to the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp. Zhao Guo, a practitioner from Wujiaying Village, Guodan Town, Li County, Baoding City, posted "Falun Dafa is Good" banners, but was subsequently arrested and then met with a fierce beating. Ning Hongmao forced him into the Li County Detention Center's severe crime cell. He was beaten until his entire body was black and blue and swollen. His head was beaten so badly that his reactions were slow for a long time afterwards. Later, without any legal procedures, he was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp.

3. The 610 Office in Huadian City, Jilin Province Conducts Brainwashing Sessions to Persecute Falun Gong Practitioners

Recently, the 610 Offices in Jilin Province, Jilin City, Huadian City and Hongshi Town have worked together to hold a brainwashing class in a Hongshi Town Hotel. On June 8, they began arresting Falun Gong practitioners. Regardless whether they were at work, offices, or at home, practitioners were arrested. There have been over a dozen practitioners who were arrested and put into the class to be brainwashed. Firm practitioners including Yu Hong have gone on hunger strikes to protest the persecution and they are in great danger.
