From August 6 to 7, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners in Malaysia held a "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" International Art Exhibition at the Chin Woo Gallery in Chin Woo Stadium, Kuala Lumpur. However, at noon on August 7, administrators of the Chin Woo Stadium forcibly drove practitioners away and made them immediately stop the art exhibition. They said that it was because the Chinese Embassy sent warnings to all Chinese organizations in Malaysia and used its economic power to intimidate them not to rent places to local Falun Gong practitioners to hold activities. What the Chinese communist regime did was obviously coerce overseas Chinese organizations to participate in the persecution of Falun Gong. More people's minds have consequently been deceived and poisoned.
Signing petition opposing the persecution |

The art exhibition was going smoothly on the first day. Many people were willing to sign the petition in support of practitioners to oppose the persecution after they learned the truth about Falun Gong. After learning the beauty of Falun Gong, some people immediately asked where the practice sites were located and where they could learn the exercises.

Prior to this event, Falun Gong practitioners in Malaysia have encountered the same obstacle whenever they visited Chinese organizations and wanted to rent space from them. As long as the activity is related to Falun Gong, they would not be able to rent places from the Chinese organizations. If practitioners asked the reason why, they would tell practitioners that it was because of pressure from the Chinese Embassy.
A practitioner whose last name is Lin said, "I am a Malaysian citizen. However, I have been encountering the Chinese Communist regime's pressure everywhere. It seems that Malaysia is controlled by the Chinese Communist regime. I'm even threatened for what I believe in my own country."
Falun Gong practitioners in Malaysia strongly condemn the Chinese Communist regime's severe persecution and exclusions of Falun Gong. Practitioners also wish that the Chinese organizations would clearly distinguish between right and wrong and not choose to be accomplices of the Chinese communist party.

The "Compassion" International Art Exhibition and "Collection of Contemporary Renowned Chinese Artists' Works" exhibition were successfully held at the Hilton Garden Inn, Philadelphia from July 26 to 31, 2005. The two exhibitions enhanced each other's beauty and touched people's hearts. People from Philadelphia and three surrounding states and several counties who love traditional Chinese culture and arts highly praised the two exhibitions. The exhibitions left deep and beautiful impressions on both Chinese and Western visitors alike.

The exhibitions received support, recommendation and commendations from state and city government officials. Chinese and Western media also extensively reported on the exhibitions. Ms. Dai Meiling regained her health from the verge of death through her practice of Falun Gong six years ago. For this reason, she does not hesitate to exhibit to the public her family's exquisite collections of Chinese paintings and calligraphy, collected over five generations - a priceless treasure. The purpose is to promote traditional Chinese culture and to call upon people to pay attention to the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. The "Compassion" art exhibition was held simultaneously next door. Sponsors said that they were moved by the Dai family's story. Through the Dai family's recommendation, they especially held the free "Compassion" art exhibition, which contained paintings and sculpture created by Falun Gong practitioners who are professional artists. The art works exhibit the beauty of the practice of Falun Gong and depict the persecution suffered by Falun Gong practitioners in China.
Congresswoman Allyson Y. Schwartz from Philadelphia wrote a letter to congratulate the event. Pennsylvania's Lieutenant Governor Catherine Baker Knoll sent a representative to present a proclamation in which she expressed her best wishes to the art exhibitions on behalf of 12 million Philadelphia citizens. She also expressed, "When you use these art works to continue exhibiting the Chinese culture to the world, please always remember the principles that you uphold at moments of success and difficulties."
The "Compassion" art exhibition included three parts. The first part is entitled, "The Beauty of Cultivation," the second part is "Uncompromising Courage," while the third part is entitled, "Rescue Children." The paintings depicted the beautiful realm of Falun Gong practice, the unyielding courage manifested by practitioners when confronting the violence of the persecution, and how the persecution has affected children. Prior to this event, a similar exhibition entitled, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" International Art Exhibition which contained more paintings and was on a much larger scale was held Boston, Capitol Hill in Washington DC, Seoul, Korea, Jakarta, Indonesia, Toronto, Canada, and New York.
A 14-year-old guide (second from right) was highly admired by visitors |
Upon seeing one of the paintings in which a boy who was beaten was locked with his mother in a cell, people were confused and asked, "Why? Why would people be imprisoned and beaten for practicing Falun Gong?" Visitors' hearts were saddened. The Philadelphia "Compassion" art exhibition presented, through painters' brushes, the beauty of Falun Gong, its worldwide spread, and the cruel persecution by the Chinese communist regime. Fadu, the five year old girl depicted in the painting, "Come back, Daddy", came to Philadelphia with her mother from Australia. When Fadu was only eight months old, her father Mr. Chen Chengyong was tortured to death for practicing Falun Gong. Their story really made people feel grieved.
A visitor from La Salle University said after viewing the paintings, "This exhibition is great! The guides' explanations are really helpful to understand the paintings. I could not believe that my guide was a 14-year-old teenager. The 'Compassion' art exhibition is really supernormal. Previously, I knew very little about Falun Gong. The painting that depicted a little boy who was locked in a cell is really impressive and sorrowful. This is a tragedy in China where there is no freedom of belief".
Many people signed the guest book and wrote down their impressions:
Unbelievable beauty! Thank you, "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" art exhibition. The world absolutely needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance! - Karen
I think that the Chinese Communist Party should immediately stop torturing innocent people and allow people to have freedom to choose.
"Compassion" art exhibition is really powerful! It seems that the exhibition is an extremely good experience to me. - Jeff
Falun Gong is truly great! I wish all people who have a predestined relationship will practice Falun Gong. I hope for more beauty in the human world!
This is a wonderful journey to access a different culture. All the paintings are beautiful and touching. It's really sad to see the persecution of religious culture. However, it is absolutely necessary to expose the persecution under the brutal dictatorship. It is a touching art exhibition.
This art exhibition is unforgettable and touching. It is an absolute spiritual exploration.
The exhibition is great. Both culture and art are exquisite. - Allen from New Jersey
One visitor said, "I have relatives in eastern Germany. I've been to eastern Germany three times. I can understand the suppression suffered by Chinese people, just like what happened in eastern Germany before the Berlin wall collapsed." When he traveled to China in 1998, from his hotel window on the morning he saw many people practicing Falun Gong in the parking lot before they went to work. He said the scene was very peaceful and relaxed. The peaceful exercise had no factor to threaten the government and it had no negative factors at all. However, the unbelievable persecution is happening in China. Another visitor said that she was born in Shanghai. Her grandfather was imprisoned for three years without having done anything wrong during the period of the "Great Cultural Revolution."
After viewing the exhibition, a great number of people signed the
petition calling for an end to the persecution.

On the 23rd of July 2005, a series of activities to promote Falun Gong in Paris took us to District No. 11 in the east of the city, where we held an activity to let the people in this upscale neighborhood know about Falun gong and the brutal persecution against the practice in China.
Clarifying the truth about Falun Gong
After learning the facts, many people, including many officers, civil servants, teachers, students, doctors, jurists and some scholars, signed the petition expressing support for an end to the persecution. All of them expressed their strong condemnation of the human rights abuses against Falun Gong practitioners.
After looking at the exhibition boards that detailed the persecution, a female undergraduate who is studying politics said indignantly, "It is too cruel! The Government is too shameful! Thanks to your activity of clarifying the truth here, people will get to know about all this." After that, she signed the petition without hesitation.
Two women from Belgium were standing for a long time looking at one of the exhibition boards. Having signed the petition, they were continuing to discuss the serious problems of human rights in China. One of them said, "We've finally heard something valuable today!"
A lady riding a motorbike stopped on her way and expressed that she was very interested in learning the Falun Gong exercises and asked where to find exercises sites in Paris. She was surprised at hearing that teaching and learning Falun Gong is always free and said happily, "Super!"
A French man who just got back from China said that when he was travelling there, he couldn't see what the real China was like at all. The Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) rogue government has given all foreign tourists the feeling that everywhere in China it is very peaceful on the surface; Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing are so beautiful that they look like show windows in shops; even so, people living in free countries can always find all kinds of photos and footage of the persecution that foreign reporters took by taking risks with their lives in China. He expressed that tourism in China is not only for making a profit from foreigners but also for sugaring-coating peace and tranquillity and disguising their persecution and the cruel killing of the people as well.
Another lady, who works in the international physical education industry, told us: The strongest resistance China has met was the problem of human rights when she applied for the Olympic Games internationally. She said that there were many remarks on the CCP's suppression of Falun Gong, a lot of international figures all think that Beijing has no qualifications for holding the Olympic Games in 2008.
Besides, we happened to encounter a Romanian girl who was homeless and wandering on the streets. Although she is in a difficult situation, she still signed the petition silently and said pure-heartedly to the practitioners, "I will be praying for the people who are being persecuted in China."
