On August 29, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners in the United Kingdom held a performance in London's famous Trafalgar Square to rescue the orphans of Falun Gong practitioners killed in the persecution. Large numbers of sightseers came and went in a continuous stream and the practitioners' performance attracted much attention. People stood in a circle and watched the event with great interest.

All the performances were completely original and created by practitioners. Several songs were brand-new compositions taking rescuing orphans as the subject and conveying the following messages to the audience: In China, after Falun Gong practitioners have experienced a six-year-long brutal persecution, many bright and pure children have been orphaned because their parents have been persecuted to death. In order to rescue these innocent children from misery, kind-hearted people, please give us your help.
People are deeply moved and sign the petition to support justice for Falun Gong
After learning about this terrible situation, people signed their names in succession to express support and deep sympathy to those Falun Gong practitioners and their children in China.

The practitioners also demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises. The tranquil and elegant movements, as well as the compassionate energy field, drew many passers-by to stop and watch.
There were also tourists from China on the Square who
stopped to watch. Practitioners gave them leaflets and talked with
them. Most of the Chinese tourists accepted the information and some of
them patiently listened to the practitioners' explanations.
At 5 o'clock, the performance concluded successfully. Practitioners in the U.K. will continue to use this type of event to present the goodness of Falun Gong to the people, and to tell the public about the suffering experienced by Falun Gong practitioners in China.
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," a touring art exhibition made its second stop in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was open in Tangeman Center of the University of Cincinnati and in Cincinnati City Hall. Many people learned about the brutal persecution of innocent Falun Gong practitioners in China and the benefits of Falun Gong through this exhibition. They were impressed with Falun Gong practitioners' spirit of peacefulness, and their magnificent tolerance and courage.
More than forty exquisite paintings turned the Tangeman Center into a holy palace. Many students and professors stopped by the exhibition. A facility manager said it was a most unique exhibition in Tangeman Center. He also arranged for guards to work at the exhibition. Students of the art department sang high praise for the artwork. One of them said, "I thought it was only an exhibition about the persecution. I didn't know these paintings were so wonderful and deep in their meanings." Another student said he felt strong light coming from each painting. It was similar to the light of God in Mike Angel's paintings.
Many people said, "It is very moving!" "Thank you for bringing them here and telling us about the stories behind the artwork!" "The tortures are too cruel! It is time to stop it!" "It is a great exhibition! You are doing something great! Hold on! It won't be long! Good luck to you!" "It is hard to believe such things are still happening today! They are so peaceful! Why are they subjected to such cruel torture?" Some people were in tears.
Many kind people asked us what they could do to help stop the persecution. We told them that the Chinese Communist Party had been covering up the persecution and spreading rumors to slander Falun Gong. They could help by telling others about the persecution and asking for more attention to it. They promised to do so. Many people signed their names on the appeal letter to help stop the persecution. All post cards about rescuing children from the persecution were taken. Some people became interested in learning Falun Gong and asked us where they could learn it.

Some people asked why the media didn't report about the persecution. We told them that it was reported in some media, but not too much. They said the media need to cover more about the persecution. A lady was very stirred by this fact. She took a lot of materials with her and said she would call media and request their report about the persecution.
Some Chinese students visited the art exhibition. They learned about the true story of Falun Gong from Falun Gong practitioners and said they would publish their withdrawal from the Communist Party on the Epoch Times website.
The art exhibition received a lot of support and encouragement from the city government of Cincinnati and congressmen of Ohio. Mayor Luken issued recognition to the exhibition, and two city councilmen gave speeches at the opening ceremony. State Congresswoman Catherine Barrett went to the exhibition in person. Senator Voinovich's assistant went to support the exhibition on the Senator's behalf.
City Councilman Christopher Smitherman read the Mayor's recognition of the art exhibition at the opening ceremony on August 22 and declared August 22 as Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Day. The recognition said the world needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. State Congresswoman Catherine Barrett told us with enthusiasm that she felt great after doing Falun Gong for three and a half months. She felt very peaceful and calm. She said she would like to continue, and said she would work with another state congressman to propose a resolution in support of Falun Gong. City Councilman David Crowley talked about his experience of living in a former Communist county in east Europe. He said he knows very clearly about dictatorship in Communist countries. He said that perhaps the Chinese autocracy would collapse overnight like in former Soviet Union. Mr. Britton, on behalf of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, said they would support Falun Gong practitioners' efforts to gain their freedom of belief and thinking. The spirit of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is in accordance with the spirit of courage, assistance and tenacity for which his center stands. He welcomed the art exhibition to his exhibition hall.

During the week the art exhibition was shown in the city hall, where many government employees visited the exhibition. Some of them even went many times. A woman told practitioners that she was fascinated, and her eyes were glued every time she passed the exhibition. She praised the superb skill of the artists and the saddening but strengthening power of their artwork. The assistant to the mayor was aggravated by the tortures subjected upon Falun Gong practitioners. He said the brutality of the Chinese Communist Party was appalling.
On August 20, 2005, invited by the Chairman of Congress, Latvian Falun Gong practitioners came to Auce City to introduce Falun Gong.
The Chief of Police met with practitioners and said that he had already received information about Falun Gong. He decided to provide the largest plaza with the busiest flow of people for the practitioners to hold their activity, and the specific place was to be decided by practitioners themselves. Upon leaving, the Police Chief said that if there was any way he could help, to just give him a call.
Falun Gong practitioners chose the end of the street where there were more people. A great number of passers-by gathered in front of the display boards that the practitioners had set up. Two practitioners demonstrated the five Falun Gong exercises, while some distributed leaflets and others talked to interested people.
Telling people the facts about Falun Gong
At the very beginning of the activity, one woman not only listened to the practitioners' explanations but she also carefully read the information on each display board. She said, "It's good that you came here." We gave her a set of documentary VCDs and some leaflets. She then left. After about three hours, she returned and told us, "My daughter and I watched the movie. My daughter cried hard when watching innocent people persecuted."
Two little girls followed the practitioners throughout the whole activity. They viewed the display boards. When they were asked whether they understood what the event was all about, they responded with one voice that they did. They said, "I do. Such things [as torturing people for their beliefs] only happen in China." The Falun Gong practitioners did their best to help people understand the importance of what is happening in China, using simple explanations. The world is in need of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. At the end of the activity, the two little girls saw the practitioners off for quite a long distance.
Another young man said, "How strange. Why have I suddenly become so interested? I just happened to walk by. Why do I feel that it is so meaningful?" He looked very puzzled. The practitioners gave him a lot of reading materials so that he could come to understand.
Though a great number of people watched our activity, a hearing and speech impaired couple left a deep impression on us. When we first saw the man, he was with a thirteen-year-old child. He picked up a photo booklet about the persecution and called his son to come over. Together they read for quite some time and exchanged opinions with each other through gestures. Fellow practitioners handed over leaflets in Latvian and in Russian. Not long afterwards, the man called his wife to come over too. It happened that his wife was Chinese. When she looked at the photo booklets, her husband indicated to practitioners that what is happening in China is terrible. It certainly is hard to believe that such cruel things still happen in the world today. It is simply hard to accept. The couple expressed their thanks to the practitioners before they left.
