On New Year's Eve, a small experience sharing conference was successfully held in northern Russia. Falun Gong practitioners from Kandalaksha City and some villages in the State of Arkhangelsk gathered and shared their understandings and experiences in the practice.

Although there are not many Falun Gong practitioners in this area, the exercise sites have been set up there for two and a half years. Some veteran practitioners have established a good relationship with the state and the city governments. In order to introduce Falun Gong and expose the persecution against Falun Gong to the people of the world, practitioners have visited the cities and villages nearby many times to demonstrate the exercises and hold all kinds of activities. Many new practitioners began the practice during this period of time. Many practitioners overcame many difficulties and actively participated in the practice experience sharing conferences in Russia and abroad, even though it is a rural area and there is a lack of transportation.
A prominent point about this conference is that practitioners profoundly exposed the nature of the evil Communist Party. The area is in the Arctic Circle; it is very cold and sparsely populated. After the evil Communist Party came into power in the Soviet Union, from 1930 to the 1950's, forced labor camps and concentration camps that persecutied dissidents or political prisoners were set up there. Practitioner's families as well as thousands of other families here witnessed and were victims of that persecution. Practitioners here fully understand the difficult situation that practitioners of mainland China are in, because their ancestors were also persecuted like that.
All of them realized that they should do well in the three things: studying the Fa, sending righteous thoughts and exposing the facts about the persecution. Further, they should make effective efforts to support fellow practitioners in mainland China and stop the evil persecution.
It was the first time for many practitioners to make speeches
at a conference. Although they were excited, what they expressed were
their true personal experiences in doing the three things well.
Practitioners shared their ideas and encouraged each other, filling the
conference with compassion from beginning to the end.
