Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yang Lidong from Songyuan City, Jilin Province had been tortured long term in the Jilin Province Labor Camp in Jiutai City. He could not take care of himself and was dying when released. He died on January 17, 2006, thin as a skeleton, and a tragic sight to see.

Mr. Yang Lidong was 35 years old, and lived on Tuanjie Street in Songyuan City, Jilin Province. He started practicing Falun Gong in April 1999, and refused to give up his faith after the CCP's persecution began on July 20, 1999. He had been sent to forced labor twice in the Yinmahe Labor Camp located in Jiutai City.

In May 2000, Mr. Yang Lidong went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and was arrested and detained in the Songyuan City Detention Center, where policeman Zhang Shuhuai ordered prisoners to whip him 99 times with a two foot long, four inch diameter plastic tube, causing his flesh to be smashed with many wounds. Mr. Yang was later sent to forced labor in the Yinmahe Labor Camp in Jiutai City, and served a one year term.

When he was in the Second Ward of Yinmahe Labor Camp, Mr. Yang was often tortured with brutal beatings, the Sitting Board (1), forced brainwashing, over-time heavy labor, and an extended six months term.

On February 8, 2002, Mr. Yang Lidong was arrested after policemen from local Tuanjie Street Station ransacked his home, and he was cruelly beaten. He was sentenced to two years of forced labor because he refused to give up his belief, and was sent to the Yinmahe Labor Camp in Jiutai City again on February 11, 2002.

During his second term in the Camp, guards ordered prisoners Zhang Laoqi, Zhu Yonggang, Wang Zhongkui and others to torture Mr. Yang Lidong. They sometimes tied Mr. Yang's four limbs onto the bed, then beat him with a shovel handle or a plastic tube. Sometimes seven or eight people stuffed Mr. Yang's mouth with linen cloth, then beat him with wooden boards, wooden sticks, or plastic tubes. Sometimes these prisoners held his head in their hands, then rubbed his ribs with wooden boards or tooth brushes. Once Mr. Yang shouted "Falun Dafa is good!" to protest the evil persecution. These prisoners then tied him on the bed, and then tilted the bed up-right so that it forced Mr. Yang in a head down position for 30 minutes. The prisoners forced him in certain positions, such as sitting up, or lying down, but not allowing him to move, not allowing him to use the toilet, and forcing him to wet the bed. Sometimes Mr. Yang was forced to sit on the cement floor overnight. Sometimes he was forced to eat less than usual, without any soup.

Only two weeks after Mr. Yang was locked in the camp the second time, he was tortured until he was paralyzed, and could not hold anything with his hands. Even in his impaired physical condition, he was still put in strictly monitored cells.

One day guard Gao Ke and Warden Gao came to patrol the strictly monitored cells, and Mr. Yang Lidong shouted, "Falun Dafa is Good!" Guard Gao Ke was very angry. He pulled Mr. Yang's intravenous injection needle out, and shocked Mr. Yang all over his body. Warden Gao kicked Mr. Yang down to the floor with one kick, and beat him.

Around one month later, Mr. Yang was locked in a broom closet, while guards ordered prisoners Zhang Laoqi. Li Donghong, Liu Wenli, Xie Yunpu, Zhang Mancang, Zhao Xiaoli to torture him. They said to others that they were going to give Mr. Yang Lidong a "massage," but soon after, the whole "Educational Section" could hear the tragic screaming of Mr. Yang, along with guards and prisoners' laughing and shouting. These kinds of tortures had been conducted many times. Finally we learned that each time, Mr. Yang had been locked in the broom closet then had been beaten by sticks, causing him to become incontinent. Then prisoners took Mr. Yang to the water room to have a "bath," but in reality, it was another round of brutal beating. Every time when Mr. Yang Lidong had to use the toilet, other detained practitioners or prisoners were not allowed to go to the bathroom, to prevent them from seeing how Mr. Yang had been tortured. Mr. Yang Lidong had been on hunger strike to protest such brutal torture for more than twenty days.

In May 2002, Mr. Yang Lidong was locked in the Fourth Ward - the Construction Ward. The Camp Administration forced all Falun Gong practitioners who upheld their faith to have an extended term of five to ten days per month. Mr. Yang Lidong refused to sign his name on the sentencing statement, and as a consequence, guards Guo Yiping and Zhang Xin stripped Mr. Yang and lashed him with a whip of thick twisted wire, resulting in Mr. Yang's flesh being broken, and he was bleeding badly.

In February 2003, Mr. Yang refused to watch a TV program that slandered Falun Gong and protested the slave labor. He was locked in a small cell (2), and then sent back to the strictly monitored cells ever since. He was strictly monitored and not allowed any personal freedom.

Due to long term mental and physical torture, Mr. Yang Lidong became as thin as skin and bones, and a big boil grew on his back. He could only walk with two-inch-steps, and guards would not allow him to receive any treatments.

On February 7, 2004, Mr. Yang's "term" ended, but the Camp Administration would not release him unless he wrote a "guarantee statement". Mr. Yang absolutely refused to promise anything to the evil. By February 22, 2004, Mr. Yang was dying. The Camp Administration was afraid to be responsible for his death, and let local police pick him up.

In the more than one year's time after Mr. Yang Lidong returned home, he had to stay in bed. He could not take care of himself and endured extreme pain every day, plus the local police kept harassing him at his home. One morning in May 2005, at around 4 a.m., several local policemen pounded on Mr. Yang Lidong's door, stormed into the house and ordered Mr. Yang to give up his Falun Gong books. Mr. Yang's family members refused the unreasonable harassment, and scolded the policemen's rude behavior. The police saw Mr. Yang lying on the bed, as thin as a skeleton so they were scared of being responsible, and quickly escaped after saying some threatening words.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yang Lidong died on January 17, 2006.

(1) Every day, practitioners put their hands on top of their laps, with backs straight and sit on benches 18 hours per day. This continued for over fifty days. The authorities even limited practitioners' restroom use time. Because of the long time spent sitting on hard benches, practitioners' buttocks grew big sores that hurt badly. Practitioners could not even urinate normally because of the pain. Because the labor camp was very damp, and the police would not allow practitioners to have proper ventilation or the chance to get some sunlight, and practitioners were locked up for so long, countless red scabies grew all over the bodies of practitioners. (2) The detainee is locked up in a very small cell. The guards handcuff the practitioner on his back in a fixed position, in which he can neither move nor lie down. The small cell is very damp and no sunshine comes in. Detainees have to urinate and defecate in the cell. Only half of a regular meal is served to detainees locked up in a small cell during the daytime. During the night the rats run around. The stench in the small cell is so bad that it is difficult to breathe.

Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Li Ping of Dalian City, Liaoning Province, was arrested and imprisoned many times for persisting in practicing Falun Gong. She was imprisoned in Dalian Forced Labor Camp twice and suffered brutal torture. After she had become paralyzed from the persecution, perpetrators Zhang Xiujuan and Xie Xiaoli covered her with three comforters, although it was summer, and put insects on her body to bite her. Because of the evil party's long-term persecution against Falun Gong, Li Ping passed away on November 27, 2005.

Reporter: The victim is Ms. Li Ping who lived in Xigang District, Dalian City. We are listening to tape recordings of September 13, 2003 from 2 weeks after Ms. Li was released from the detention center. She had been detained at Yaojia Detention Center and Dalian Forced Labor Camp for over 6 months. Scars and marks could still be seen under her armpit and on her back (she was hung up and tortured for extended periods of time). She was carried out on a stretcher when released from the labor camp.

Ms. Li: On February 27, 2003, I went to Yaojia Detention Center to visit my imprisoned sister (who was also a Falun Gong practitioner, but had renounced Falun Gong under pressure at the time) to bring some clothing to her. After they found that I had Master's article with me, I was arrested again and locked into a small cell. They used handcuffs and shackles to fix my limbs to the floor for 6 days and 6 nights. After that, they handcuffed me to a bed. After I went on a hunger strike to protest, they force-fed me through a nasal feeding tube twice a day. The guards also ordered the inmates to beat my face and pour cold water on me. Because of the torture, I became emaciated and could not walk or use the restroom on my own. On April 9, 2003, they carried me on a stretcher to Dalian Forced Labor Camp. The next day, a guard named Han and two inmates (Zhao Xiujia and Xie Xiaoli) pushed me to the floor and wrapped me in a quilt. Then they used a wood stick to pry open my mouth -- two of my teeth were knocked out immediately, while several other teeth were loosened and fell out later. They also tied me up and kept me inside a cardboard box for a month. They beat me up, trampled on my hands, feet, legs, and abdomen. They ran cold water on my face. They hung me three times from the parapet -- I lost consciousness two times. Not satisfied only in persecuting me physically, the guards insulted me and humiliated me by shaving my head, cutting my eyelashes, pulling my pubic hair and nipples, stepping on my genitals and cutting off my pubic hair. They also poured urine into my mouth, put mosquitoes and insects under my clothes and let them bite me. For four and a half months, they detained me inside an iron cage.

Reporter: Ms. Li Ping, 48 years old, began to practice Falun Gong and "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" in 1996. From the time the evil Chinese Communist Party started to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, she was imprisoned many times for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and appealing on behalf of Falun Gong. In April 2000, she was arrested, imprisoned and brainwashed in Dalian Rehabilitation Center for 20 days. She was detained in Yaojia Detention Center three times. The persecutors also detained her at Dalian Forced Labor Camp and Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for 3 years.

Ms. Li: On April 19, 2000, the persecutors sent me to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. To resist the persecution, I went on a hunger strike. I was locked inside a small cell and tied to a tiger bench (for illustration of this torture, see http://clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2004/6/12/49036.html). They also force-fed me through a nasal feeding tube. I vomited blood frequently and became emaciated. I lost my ability to take care of myself. Finally, they carried me out on a stretcher and asked my family members to pick me up.

Reporter: Because of the prolonged persecution, Ms. Li Ping died on November 27, 2005. Before her death, she called on kind people and people who believed in justice worldwide to not close their eyes about the persecution and help stop it.

Recently a student in Germany, Wang Zhen, publicly exposed the persecution he received in the Shanghai No. 3 Labor Camp because of practicing Falun Gong. Afterwards, the 610 Office threatened his family members.

After his articles were published, the Shanghai 610 Office quickly went to his home and asked whether Wang Zhen wrote the article, and whether it was factual. Wang Zhen has always been honest and was trusted by his unit, family and society. His family did not deny that he wrote the article. They also believed that what was written was true. The 610 Office could not contradict the article. They were embarrassed and said, "We will not take any action against you for what happened before. However, if Wang Zhen calls home, tell him not to do it anymore." They told the family to inform the 610 Office if Wang Zhen sent a letter home. The family refused, so the 610 Office left, flustered.

At present, Wang Zhen's family's phone is monitored. Please pay attention if a practitioner calls his home.

At the same time, we warn those people persecuting Falun Gong, that Heaven's net is extensive and will not leave out a single bad person. Every human being's actions and thoughts are recorded. "There are spiritual beings three feet above one's head." (Zhuan Falun) Do not go your own way and persecute good people anymore.

Persecution of Falun Gong practitioner Bai Heli

At about 2 p.m. on May 26, 2005, policeman Yang Zhaoping of the public security branch at the Huozhou power plant illegally intruded into the home of Falun Gong practitioner Bai Heli, a retired worker at the plant, and deceived him into going to the public security branch at the power plant. Later, officer Yang and the police from the public security branch at the Huozhou Mining Bureau took Bai Heli to torture him. At first, five young, strong policemen pummeled him. Then two policemen took turns slapping him in the face, which caused Bai Heli to spit blood from his mouth, both his ears were ringing, and his head was swollen. After that, several policemen pushed Bai Heli onto a bed, and handcuffed both his hands in a crisscrossed position behind the back. As a result, the handcuffs dug into the skin and blood dripped from his hands. Later, the police used high-voltage electric batons to shock sensitive areas all over his body. His whole body turned blue and purple due to electric shocks and he lost consciousness once. They beat him savagely like this for several hours straight until the policemen finally grew tired. Then they threatened, "We will tidy you up again after a while." Throughout the entire process, Bai Heli maintained righteous thoughts. He did not cooperate with the wicked police, but continued to treat them with compassion. He warned them about the principle that doing good will be rewarded while doing evil will provoke karmic retribution.  After two o'clock in the morning, the police had fallen asleep, and Bai Heli, who was covered in wounds, jumped from the upper level of the building and escaped. Thereafter, he became homeless to avoid arrest.

Around 2001, the microwave station equipment near the Huozhou Power Plant was destroyed. The evil authorities tried to frame Falun Gong for the crime. Therefore, the public security branch at the power plant, in collusion with the first criminal police group at Huozhou Police Department, carried out the so-called investigation of measuring footprints and taking blood samples, etc., many times from Falun Gong practitioner Guo Linma, a power plant worker. They had gotten nothing for half a year because there was no real evidence. On May 11 of the following year, they suddenly took Guo Linma to the Huozhou police station, planning to force him to confess by torture. They put handcuffs and foot shackles on Guo Linma, and handcuffed him to a ring on the ground. They did not allow him to eat, sleep, or go to the restroom. Several people took turns "interrogating" him day and night. Guo Linma asked Master to strengthen him, and he did not accept the persecution. As a result, the shackles and handcuffs on Guo Linma's body automatically fell off miraculously. The police did not believe it at first. They thought it was accidental, and put them on again even more tightly. But the shackles and handcuffs automatically opened again. The police still did not believe, and said: "Let me put them on again. If they open one more time, I won't put them back on you." Finally, the shackles and handcuffs opened another time. The police were shocked and said: "Falun Gong is really terrific." Then they hurried to buy Guo Linma some food to let him eat. On the third day, May 14, Guo Linma was released.

For refusing to renounce Falun Gong, Guo Linma had been continuously persecuted by the supervisors of the power plant and the public security branch during the several years since the persecution began. For example, he was subjected to 24 hours of illegal surveillance of his home for half a year, illegal confiscation of his personal property many times, illegal imprisonment twice, confiscation of his housing and dismissing him from the plant. Although he went to work every day, his wages were reduced in disguised form every month. Finally, he was only able to get about two hundred yuan each month. During his second illegal imprisonment , Guo Linma was persecuted so badly that he was emaciated, and suffered serious anemia. When he was critically ill and his life was in danger, the police still extorted money from his family before he was released.

On May 27, 2005, public security branch personnel at the power plant broke the windows of his private dorm room. They broke the door of the room, and illegally ransacked his personal property. They threatened to arrest him once again, which forced Guo Linma to become destitute and homeless. On the night of October 5, when Guo Linma was working temporarily at a coal mine in Fenxi County, he was arrested once more.

On December 21, 2005, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Piao Lihua, from Shijingshan District of Beijing, was arrested at her parents' home in Moshikou by the police from Moshikou and Bajiao Police Stations. She is currently detained in Shijingshan District Police Department, Beijing City. The police is planning to secretly sentence Piao Lihua to two years of forced labor and is going to send her to Daxing County Female Forced Labor Camp around February 15, 2006.

Ms. Piao Lihua, born in 1968, lived at Bajiao South Avenue, Shijingshan District of Beijing. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1998.

Ever since the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999, Piao Lihua has been clarifying the truth of Falun Gong, and she went to Tiananmen Square several times to appeal for an end to the persecution. Because of her appeals, she was arrested multiple times as a steadfast practitioner by the police of Shijingshan District. One day, after 11:00 p.m., several policemen from the Bajiao Police Station went to Ms. Piao's home to arrest her. They grabbed her hair and dragged her down the stairs from her home on the sixth floor. Her clothes were almost torn off due to the violent dragging. Ms. Piao spoke aloud and exposed the persecution. Her neighbors came out from their homes and scolded the police for their wrongdoings.

In 2000, Ms. Piao was forced to become homeless. In 2001, she was arrested along with over ten other practitioners in a rental apartment in Huanglou of Shijingshan District by police from the National Security Bureau. Later she was sent to an unknown persecution station in Daxing County. During her stay there, the guards put unknown drugs in her food and monitored her feces daily. Ms Piao was not affected by the guards' abnormal behavior, and the drug did not have any influence on her. Once, when the guard was not watching her, Ms. Piao exchanged her food with that of the guard, who fell into a coma after eating the food. After a month, while the guards were deep in sleep, Ms. Piao jumped over a fence more than three meters in height and fled from the persecution station.

The National Security Bureau, Shijingshan District Police Department, and the police from Bajiao Police Station searched for Piao Lihua everywhere, including the home of her ex-husband whom she divorced a very long time ago. The policemen made use of the evil communist party's lying tactics and deceived Ms. Piao's mother by saying that Piao Lihua would not be sentenced to prison as long as she came back voluntarily. Thus Ms. Piao's mother led the police to northern China and found Piao Lihua. The police planned to take her back and threatened her with a prison term. Ms. Piao said, "Your words do not count. It is my Teacher who can decide my destiny!" Afterwards, she managed to escape from the police detention.

The police kept inquiring about Ms. Piao's whereabouts and set up a surveillance camera near her home's entrance. A policeman was also specifically assigned to closely monitor her home. On December 21, 2005, Piao Lihua was arrested in her parents' home by the police from Shijingshan District Police Department, Moshikou Police Station, Bajiao Police Station, and members of the Moshikou Neighborhood Committee. She is currently detained at the detention center of Shijingshan District Police Department, Beijing City..

The police asked her to tell them information about other practitioners, but she refused. Piao Lihua went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. On the sixth day of her hunger strike, more than ten policemen held her down and thrust a force-feeding tube down her nose into her stomach. They force-fed her with milk. The force-feeding tube was covered with blood when they pulled it out.

The police is now planning to secretly sentence Piao Lihua to two years in prison and send her to Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp in Daxing County around February 15, 2006.

Mr. Li Hongjun is illegally detained at prison area No. 2 of Shenyang No. 1 Prison. He has been on a hunger strike for three months to protest his detention, and will be bailed out for medical treatment.

Ms. Xia Fenglan, 64, was arrested by the Nongan National Protection Unit on January 17, 2006, and is now detained at the Nongan County Detention Center.

On January 11, 2006, Ms. Song Pingxiu was arrested by the City National Security officers for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. She is currently detained at the Tuohuang Detention Center.

Ms. Yuan Guoxiang is from Xinjian County, Jiangxi Province. The National Protection Unit of Xinjian County Police Bureau extorted 7000 yuan from Ms. Yuan before she was released. When she was detained at the police station, police officer Liang Jun handcuffed Ms. Yuan's arms behind her back for nine hours. The police also took away the heater in the room to purposely let Ms. Yaun freeze in the cold, thus causing her body to become ice-cold.

Practitioner Mr. Ge Donglin's leg was also injured by Officer Liang Jun.

Mr. Wei Xing of Zhou Village, Zibo City, Shandong Province was arrested by the Zhou Village National Protection Unit on January 23, 2006. He was sent to the Dazhuang Detention Center in Zhou Village.

At around 4:30 p.m. on September 23, 2005, someone reported Ms. Shan Yuying of Zhaoyuan City to the police. She was illegally arrested when she went to pick up her child at school, and was taken to the Taishang Brainwashing Center by the 610 Office police. At the center she was tortured, and as a result her previous illness recurred. After more than forty days of detention and suffering persecution, Ms. Shan's condition worsened. Only after her family strongly criticized the brainwashing center and requested that Ms. Shan receive emergency rescue, did the brainwashing center take her to the hospital.

At around 8:45 a.m. on January 23, 2006, Mr. Wei Yingxin of Guangzhou City was put on trial at the Yuexiu District Court. He was given only a verbal notification on the same day of the trial. Neither his wife nor his 93-year-old mother were allowed inside the courtroom during his trial. However, the courtroom was full of people from the Yuexiu District 610 Office and the residents' committee.

In late December 2005, Mrs. Lei Zhanxiang of Jinchang City was reported to the police because she was distributing truth-clarification materials. She was then arrested by the Yongchang Police Bureau in Gansu Province. She is now being held at the Yongchang County Detention Center, and is conducting a hunger strike to protest her illegal detention.

The Yongchang County Police Bureau issued a warrant to arrest Mrs. Lei Zhanxiang for attending the Yongchang District Falun Gong Experience Sharing Conference in 2002. She had to leave home to avoid persecution. Her husband, Fan Yongcheng, was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment by the Yongchang County Court for practicing Falun Gong; and is now detained at Jiuquan Jail.

Zhang Jianxin, the new director of Lushuihe Police Bureau and Deputy Director Tang Longping ordered their subordinates to track down and use common people to supervise Falun Gong practitioners. They monitored practitioners' phones, harassed them at home, and interfered with their daily lives.

Ms. Lan Yi of Qingyang District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province was arrested by the police on April 23, 2005, and is now detained in Pi county.

On December 5, 2005, Ms. Ling Shaozhen, Ms. Kang Shaozhen, Ms. Zhu Fangxia, and Ms. Shi Xiuping were arrested. On January 15, 2006 they were sent to the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp. However, Ms. Zhu Fangxia and Ms. Shi Xiuping were rejected by the labor camp because they did not pass the physical examination. After they were sent back to Maoming, they were unconditionally released.

12. [Miyun County, Beijing] Primary School Teacher Lu Fengchun and Cousin Lu Fengling are Arrested

On December 30, 2005, Ms. Lu Fengchun, a school teacher in Mujiayu Town, Miyun County was reported to the police when she was talking to people about withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party. She was arrested on the spot. Meanwhile, her younger cousin, Lu Fengling, a villager from Mujiayu Town was also reported for practicing Falun Gong, and taken away from home. They are now both detained at the Miyun Detention Center.

On the afternoon of January 22 or 23, 2006, Ms. Zhou Min of Dulaying Vehicle Factory in Baiyun District, Guiyang City was arrested by the police at "Common People" Computer City. The police arrested her under a false charge of stealing a cell phone. On the same night, the police forcibly broke into her home and ransacked it.

Huadong Petroleum University students Mr. Yu Lijian, Mr. Li Qingrong, and Mr. Su Xiaoliang from the Storage and Transport Department were forced to temporarily leave school. After a one year suspension, Mr. Su Xiaoliang was not allowed to continue his studies because he did not give up practicing Falun Gong.

Those who have been put into labor camps include Mr. Tang Qingming, a teacher who was later removed from public service, Mr. Chen Diwu, Mr. Wang Yanshu, Mr. Zheng Junbo, and Mr. Wei Jiqian, who was sentenced to three years of forced labor after graduation.

Ms. Bao Caihong of Dalian City is a university professor. Police arrested her at her workplace in April 2005. The procuratorate authority sentenced her to three years imprisonment with the charge of "destructing state law enforcement crime." Ms. Bao is now detained at the Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City.

At around 2:00 p.m. on January 24, 2006, Ms. Li Yulan, Ms. Qi Minhui, Ms. Lu Fengying and others were studying the Fa at a practitioner's home. They were reported and then arrested by the police.

Mr. Xia Shige of Fengjiazhuang Village, Xuzhuang Township, Jizhou City, Hebei Province was arrested on June 23, 2005 for distributing the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. The deputy-dean of Jizhou City Court, Xia Qizeng, is in charge of Mr. Xia Shige's case.

The 7th Group of Baimalong Forced Labor Camp is made up of three squads, and is in charge of torturing Falun Gong practitioners. The No. 3 squad is the most vicious in tormenting practitioners. One practitioner is detained in a cell, supervised by three to four drug addicts and is cruelly tortured. Some of the torture methods used include sleep deprivation, beatings, not allowed to use the restroom, pulling hair, and sealing the mouth with tape.

In September 2005, the labor camp organized five teams consisting of seven police officers to beat practitioners with electric batons, give them unknown drugs, deprive practitioners of sleep, not allow them to use the restroom, force them to stand and squat for long periods of time, etc. Practitioners who did not "transform" were not released.

Ms. Yang Jusong, 67, was forced to write a guarantee statement. She was also forced to squat for six consecutive days and nights, not allowed to sleep or use the restroom, slapped across the face several dozen times, and kicked by the police. She was tortured until she was at the brink of death.

Ms. Yang Cuixian, 60, was forced to squat for a long period of time, not allowed to sleep, and her mouth was stuffed with dirty paper from the toilet and sealed with tape.

Mr. Xu Shaoan, 57, is from Xiangtan. The prison guard ordered four drug addicts to tie him up on a stool and torture him. All his fingers were pricked with needles and his whole body was covered with injuries. His face was distorted from the beatings. He was also deprived of sleep and his food was tainted with an unknown drug. As a result of suffering persecution his mind became unclear, and only then was he allowed to go home.

Mr. Hu Zhengxi, 60, is from Changde. At the labor camp, three of his teeth were knocked out. He was injected with an unknown drug that caused him to be unable to raise his head. He died from torture.

Mr. Zhang Yunlan, 53 is from Liuyang. He was forced to stand for a month and not allowed to sleep. He was also forced to write the guarantee statement, and then had to stand for another week. Currently, he is mentally disoriented from the torture.
