On December 28, 2005, the whole family of Mr. Yang Xiaojie requested the 4th Prison of Hebei Province (a.k.a. Beijiao Prison) in Shijiazhuang City and the Hebei Provincial Prison Management Bureau to release Mr. Yang Xiaojie. After repeated consultations, they finally agreed to release Mr. Yang. By that time he was on the verge of death and the 4th Prison could not cover it up any more. Upon release, Mr. Yang's family took him to see the doctor, and the first thing the doctor said was, "Why are you bringing a person here like this? It's too late!"

Practitioner Yang Xiaojie of Shijiazhuang City died on January 26, 2006, at 11:15 a.m. The Beijiao Prison guards inflicted serious bodily injury that resulted in Mr. Yang's death. Mr. Yang Xiaojie was discharged from public employment on July 20, 1999, for his steadfast belief in the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." From then on he was detained and arrested and his house was ransacked many times. Later, he was sentenced to 11 years of imprisonment, where he remained until he was tortured to death. His wife Ms. Liu Runling was also sentenced to 11 years in jail and has been tortured at the Hebei Provincial Women's Prison.

Mr. Yang Xiaojie was 1.75 meters tall and weighed more than 70 kilos. However, when he came back home from the prison, he was only about 35 kilos. He was skin and bones, and he did not even have the strength to talk. He had phlegm in his trachea and hydrocele in his chest. His breathing was not ragged, and he slept most of the time. When other people helped him to sit up or turn over, he would feel severe spinal pain.

The prison sent him to an oncology specialist for check up, even though they knew Mr. Yang was dying from torture and resulting cancer. Even on the "certificate of release for bail," it was clearly written that he was suffering from mediastinum cancer and bone cancer. However, they still purposely wanted to cover up, delay and prevent Mr. Yang Xiaojie from being released on bail for medical treatment. Why was this the case?

Mr. Yang Xiaojie, 40 years old, lived at 5-5-303, No. 95 Pingnan Dajie South, Shijiazhuang City, which has been dismantled. He worked at the Northern Office of the China Youth Daily. He began to practice Falun Gong in 1995. After starting the practice, he noticed great changes in his physical and mental well-being. He was a person of hardworking, simple and strong character. He was intelligent, showed filial respect to his parents and was ready and willing to help others. Thus, he was also warmly regarded by his neighbors. Before 1999, he voluntarily assisted other practitioners at the local practice site and gave them Falun Gong books. He feared no hardships or difficulties. Moreover, his family lived a happy and harmonious life.

From the onset of the violence against "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" by the Chinese Communist Party, Mr. Yang Xiaojie's family has been in turmoil and experienced endless suffering. On July 20, 1999, Mr. Yang Xiaojie exercised his legal right to go to Beijing to appeal and clarify the truth about Falun Gong. When he came back, he was detained by the Xiumen Police Sub-station in Shijiazhuang City. On October 10, 1999, his workplace was forced to discharge him from employment. On October 31, 1999, Mr. Yang Xiaojie was detained for two days for going to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. Mr. Yang and his wife were then arrested and taken to Yuanshi County Detention Center and detained for 15 days. After that policeman Fang Liang and political commissar Li Shaojie from the Penghoujie Police Sub-station escorted them to the Qiaodong District Detention Center and detained them for 6 days.

In the evening of April 12, 2000, policeman Fang Liang tricked Mr. Yang Xiaojie into going to the Penghoujie Sub-district Office in the name of asking him for help with a personal affair. Mr. Yang was detained for one day, and after being released, he was placed under surveillance day and night. In the morning of July 18, 2000, the policemen from the Penghoujie Police Sub-station and members of joint defense forces arrested Mr. Yang Xiaojie, his wife Liu Runling and 11-year-old Wenjing to Penghoujie Police Sub-station to prevent them from going to Beijing to appeal. At about 7 p.m., the family of three was taken to a room on the fourth floor of the guesthouse of the Machine Tool Factory, where they were forced to go through brainwashing. On July 20, policeman Fang Jie from the Penghoujie Police Sub-station arrested Mr. Yang and took him to the Shijiazhuang City No. 1 Detention Center to undergo brainwashing. He was locked up at the No. 116 cell for more than 30 days. Since Mr. Yang Xiaojie was steadfast in practicing "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance", policeman Fang Liang and Director Zhao of the Penghoujie Sub-district Office threatened to sentence Mr. Yang to forced labor in an attempt to extort ten thousand yuan bail from his family, but their attempt failed. He was detained for 2 days, and he was released after his wife paid the bail to take him home.

On September 29, 2000, in order to escape further persecution, Mr. Yang Xiaojie and wife Ms. Liu Runling were forced to leave home and go from place to place. In October 2000, the couple was placed on the wanted list. In the evening of September 28, both of them were arrested at the Kaida Sub-district of Shijiazhuang City. They were badly beaten up and arrested on the scene. Ms. Liu Runling was taken to the Penghoujie Police Sub-station and then locked up at the No. 1 Detention Center. Among other abuses endured, Mr. Yang Xiaojie was forced to sit on a metal chair non-stop for 7 days and 7 nights. Later, he was sent to the No. 1 Detention Center in the Yuanshi County Detention Center, the city's Dongfeng Road Detention Center, and the city's No. 2 Detention Center.

On February 10, 2002, with the approval of the Qiaoxi District Procuratorate of Shijiazhuang City, Mr. Yang Xiaojie and his wife were arrested. On September 9, 2002, the Qiaoxi District Court sentenced the couple to each serve 11-year terms of imprisonment for simply believing in Falun Gong and speaking the truth.

From July 15, 2003 to December 28, 2005, Mr. Yang Xiaojie was held at Section 11 of Beijiao Prison, Shijiazhuang City, which was formerly the 4th Prison of Hebei Province. His wife Ms. Liu Runling was locked up at Section 1 of the Hebei Provincial Women's Prison.

The Beijiao Prison put Mr. Yang under strict control year round. He was frequently locked up in confinement, suffered from physical punishment, was verbally abused, and subjected to sleep deprivation. The prison authorities put pressure on him continuously to force him to renounce Falun Gong. This placed him under great duress for a long period of time. Once the police deprived him of sleep for 30 days. Mr. Yang was also kept in confinement three times. Since he had no other recourse to protest, he went on hunger strike twice for about one month. The prison guards also incited inmates to beat and torture him.

Between September and December of 2003, Wang Guobin, the Director of the Prison's Education Section, ordered criminal Fan Jiangshan to punch and kick Mr. Yang Xiaojie. As a result, he lost two teeth and suffered from a stomach pain. Later on, the prison guards handcuffed and shackled him. Criminal Fan Jiangshan was rewarded with a sentence reduction for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.

On the evening of June 2, 2004, Mr. Yang Xiaojie was thrown into solitary confinement for refusing to watch brainwashing videos. He went on a hunger strike with no food and no water to protest the persecution. In the morning of June 6, Wang Guobin, Head of the Prison's Education Section, conducted forced feeding on Mr. Yang. The perpetrators sent down a tube into Mr. Yang's nose and said it was too thin. They pulled it out and sent down another, thicker tube. Under the direction of Wang Guobin, the prison doctor poured highly concentrated salt water down the tube and the salt water instantly filled his chest, his nasal cavity and mouth. The sudden and intense pain made Mr. Yang suddenly sit up and pull out the tube. In the three days after being force-fed, Mr. Yang coughed repeatedly, spat out blood and ran a high fever.

Mr. Yang Xiaojie suffered from spinal pain for more than a year and lay immobile in bed for more than three months. He was extremely thin and weak. However, under such circumstances the prison authorities used "refusing to renounce Falun Gong" as an excuse to forbid Mr. Yang's family to visit him, tried very hard to cover up Mr. Yang's actual health and put up innumerable obstacles to prevent the posting of bail for his release and medical treatment.

The 610 Office of the Fengrun District in Tangshan City, Hebei Province, led by Chen Huiliang, went to "Shiyan First Elementary School" to slander Falun Gong on February 22, 2006. They used the school as a test to apply their dirty tricks of smearing Falun Gong with deception and threats. If successful, they planned to later extend it to the entire district.

The meeting was organized by Principal Liu Lanmin, Director Bai Chunhui, and Councilor Han Xiaohui. The 1,500 students and 60 teachers held a large conference to condemn Falun Gong. Principal Liu announced their tasks. They required every student in the class to speak and write a report. Students would be banned from the class if they did not write the report, or they would not be allowed to go home after school. Instead, they would be forced to stay in the little dark room in the school. Two students from each class who wrote the best reports would be chosen to give a speech in the conference later on. The school had more than 20 classes.

In the class, the teacher asked the student to speak first. Then the teacher taught them how to write, one sentence at a time. They then made fliers and wrote articles and posted them on the bulletin boards in the classroom. Some students refused to write because they knew that Falun Dafa is good, but they were not allowed to go home.

Some teachers asked the students to report practitioners and those who distributed Falun Gong materials (including their own relatives). They asked the students not to read Falun Gong materials and to tear them up if they see any.

The school was harming students, parents, and teachers by forcing evil thoughts into these children.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Jiang Guopo is from Weifang City, Shandong Province. After following and abducting him on October 3, 2005, the police illegally held him in the Hanting Detention Center for 30 days and sentenced him to three years of forced labor on November 2, 2005. He was sent to the Changle Labor Camp where he was brutally persecuted in the past. Mr. Jiang Guopo is in critical condition after 156 days of hunger strike. He is emaciated, his heart and liver are not functioning properly and his blood pressure is out of control.

Mr. Jiang Guopo was born in March of 1963 in Weihai City, Shandong Province. He was a member of the administration in the Political Legal Committee on a county level. After practicing Falun Gong, he not only recovered from a terminal illness but also improved his work ethic. He is upright, honest and fair. He was brutally persecuted after July 20, 1999 because he refused to give up "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance." His continuous efforts to clarify the truth caused him to be held illegally a dozen times and tortured to the brink of death.

Mr. Jiang Guopo was sentenced to three years in a labor camp in November 2000, and was brutally persecuted in the Changle Labor Camp in Weifang City. He suffered all sorts of inhuman tortures such as the tiger bench, "solitary confinement", "cold water freeze"(stripped naked in winter and pushed under a vat of cold water), injected with unknown drugs, deprived of sleep, and more. His health was destroyed and the authorities had to release him for medical attention. Labor camp guard Lu Yipo and 610 Office personnel attempted to abduct him again in December 2001. Mr. Jiang had no choice but to leave his home. He has been clarifying the truth with his own personal experience and exposing the evil for the last three years while being homeless.

On October 3, 2005, he was followed and abducted by the police in Weifang City while he was waiting to fix his motorcycle. He was detained in the Hanting Detention Center. He did not stop clarifying the truth to the police and personnel from the police department. He began a hunger strike against the persecution. Since he would not give up practicing Falun Gong, the thugs in the police department hung him on a wooden cross (specifically made to torture Falun Gong practitioners) for twenty days. Wang Aiguo (female), chief of the police department in Hanting District is the main perpetrator in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners since 1999. (Her crimes have been exposed on Celarwisdom website). She has hung numerous practitioners on the cross quite mercilessly. Mr. Jiang was administered brutal force-feeding; his feeding tube was covered with blood after the torture.

Mr. Jiang became extremely weak after the brutal torture. A group of police dragged him to the hospital for force-feeding. He still called out, "Falun Dafa is good!" while he was handcuffed, shackled and weak. The citizens who witnessed the scene were shocked! Some also called out, "Falun Gong!" The personnel in the hospital also talked about the former administrator who still practices Falun Gong. The news of Mr. Jiang Guopo being arrested and persecuted again was heard in Hanting, Guiwen and the city of Weifang. The perpetrators were scared. The relatives of Mr. Jiang went to the homes of each of the perpetrators to look for them; none of them dared to admit the facts and blamed the other departments. The 610 Office in Shandong Province secretly sentenced Mr. Jiang to three years in the Changle Labor Camp, even though no crime was committed.

Mr. Jiang Guopo has been held in a sealed dark room since his sentence. The room is only four square meters without any daylight or fresh air. He has not been allowed to see anyone and is barred from going outside to the courtyard.

It has been five months since he began the hunger strike. He has been force-fed twice daily. Each time he has been horribly tortured; the perpetrators have used the finger-size feeding tube and it was covered with blood each time. Mr. Jiang questioned the warden many times: What crime have I committed? Where is the verdict? He refused to wear the prison uniform and called out "Falun Dafa is good" whenever he had a chance.

Falun Gong practitioner Tang Guoping from Huaying City, Sichuan Province almost became blind at Xinhua Labor Camp. We call on Falun Gong practitioners to help rescue him.

On December 15, 2005, officials at the Xinhua Labor Camp in Mianyang wrote to the 610 Office in Guangan, informing them that Tang Guoping from Yanghe Town, Huaying City had developed a strange eye disease, and he was almost blind. They asked the local "610 Office" to send an official letter and after approval, they would release Tang Guoping. However, the evildoers in the "610 Office" in Guangan ignored the letter and withheld the information from the "610 Office" in Huaying City in an attempt to prevent the release of Tang Guoping. Later, Tang Guoping's life was in great danger and the condition of his eyes continued to deteriorate.

Team leader He at the Xinhua Labor Camp, who was responsible for Tang Guoping, wrote again to urge the "610 Office" and the local police in Huaying City to come and pick up Tang Guoping from the labor camp. The local police then informed Tang's family to write an application for his release and to visit Tang Guoping. When Tang's family members got to the labor camp, they found that his life was in great danger. He was almost blind and he had become skeleton-like. They asked for his immediate release, but the labor camp said that they had to have an official letter from the local "610 Office" and needed approval. Then the local police could pick him up.

Tang's family members did not have much money with them and could not live there for long, so they returned home. Before they left, they gave their application letter for Tang's release to team leader He.

Three weeks after they got back home, they still had not heard anything. When it was close to the Chinese New Year, Tang's father called Xinhua Labor Camp and asked He about Tang's release. He said, "The '610 Office' in your local area did not send us an official letter, so we cannot release him." Tang's father then called Lai Yupu, the director of the "610 Office" in Huaying City, but Lai said they had sent the letter. So Tang's father again called team leader He, but he still said that they had not received any letter. Tang's father had nowhere to turn to, so he called "610 Office" Director Lai Yupu again. After repeated inquiries, Lai Yupu finally admitted that they had not sent any letter. When asked when he would send the letter, Lai said after January 15^th. But now two months have passed, and they still had not sent the letter.

On the morning of November 22, 2005, Mr. Chen Guihua, a teacher at Xiaoxiling Elementary School in Datong Town, Qingbaijiang District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, was teaching class when policemen from the Qingbaijiang District Police Department and the Datong Police Station suddenly drove onto the campus and illegally arrested him. Mr. Chen asked the police why they would arrest a good person. The officers said, "The students' parents reported that you promoted Falun Gong and the truth of the self- immolation incident in Tiananmen Square to the students."

Chen Guihua did not cooperate with the authorities. He refused to let the officers arrest him and shouted loudly, "You will receive retribution if you do anything you want without caring if it is good or bad." He firmly held onto the door of the police vehicle and refused to get in. A policeman said, "I can break your arm if you don't release the door. I'm not afraid of receiving retribution." Then he rammed his fist into Mr. Chen's arm. Mr. Chen screamed to the policemen, "My arm is broken. You will receive retribution." Another policeman said, "We don't care about this. Let me see if it is broken." He shook Chen Guihua's broken arm, causing Mr. Chen to scream in pain. Later, Mr. Chen went to the hospital where an examination showed that his arm had indeed been fractured by the policeman's blow.

 Since the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999, officials at Shuanghuan Scientific Ltd. in Hubei province have actively participated in the persecution. Many practitioners were arrested, some were sentenced to labor camps, some were fired for no good reason, and many suffered financial losses such as being forced to pay huge "guarantee fees" or lost salaries amounting to as much as 10,000 yuan.

Starting in May 2005, the company escalated its persecution of practitioners. The company officials executed a policy of firing practitioners to bankrupt them financially. Other things took place as detailed below.

On July 24, 2004, a former employee of the company, practitioner Ms. Zhang Jingyu, was sentenced to one year of forced labor for clarifying the truth. The company terminated Ms. Zhang's contract without remitting the 30,000 yuan severance pay as her contract stipulated. Ms. Zhang suffered severely due to the persecution, and her husband was pressured to divorce her.

On February 8, 2006, practitioner Mr. Yang Wenming, an employee of that company, was arrested for clarifying the truth. Overseas practitioners made many phone calls. Mr. Yang's family members also refused to cooperate with the evildoers. Mr. Yang went on a hunger strike in prison. As a result, he was unconditional released on February 14, 2006. However, after Mr. Yang returned to work, his supervisor demanded that he write a guarantee statement, promising not to practice Falun Gong and threatened to cancel his employment contract if he did not comply.

Shuanghuan Scientific Ltd. recently issued a new employment policy. Section 57 provides that practitioners who distribute Falun Gong flyers or participate in other Falun Gong activities will be fired. The company officials are proposing to fire Mr. Yang under this policy.

Company Board Chairman and Party Committee Secretary Wu Dangsheng, President Wan Nianchun, Party Committee Deputy Chairman and Labor Union Chairman Lei Fan, company office director Zhou Bo, and other executives are all responsible for the discrimination against practitioners. He Zhongping and Yang Bin from the company security department and other managers in each division and department also participated in the persecution.

Early in the afternoon on March 2, 2006, several police officers barged into practitioner couple Wang Jianguo and Zhao Qiumei's restaurant and confiscated a computer and other personal belongings. They arrested the couple and took them to the Nanjing Police Station in the Chuanying District. Following are details.

Mr. Wang Jianguo is 30 years old and Ms. Zhao Qiumei is 31; they both started practicing Falun Gong in 1995. They benefited significantly both physically and mentally from practicing Falun Gong. After the persecution started on July 20, 1999, they went to Beijing several times to appeal for Falun Gong. In November 2000, Mr. Wang was arrested and sentenced to two years of forced labor. He was imprisoned in the Huanxiling Forced Labor Camp in Jilin City. In December 2001, Ms. Zhao was sent to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp where she was was subjected to two years of brutal abuse.

In the morning on March 2, 2006, the police showed up at the couple's restaurant. In the afternoon before 2 o'clock, first a plainclothes officer and then three uniformed officers barged into the restaurant. They arrived in a police van, license plate #B0657. They started to ransack the place. Mr. Wang took the chance to run away, but two police officers ran after him and captured him. Mr. Wang's face was covered with mud.

In the restaurant, the police savagely beat Ms. Zhao, and then two officers dragged her out. She then shouted loudly, "Police beat people!" She did not cooperate with them. They were extremely angry and literally dragged her to the Nanjinglu Police Station, which was close to the restaurant. After the couple was taken to the Nanjinglu Police Station, another five uniformed police officers went to the restaurant, and searched through belongings and took photos.

Around three o'clock in the afternoon, four vehicles were parked at the restaurant. A plainclothes officer in an off-white jacket stood at the restaurant's entrance, pacing back and forth. After four o'clock, eight or nine people walked out of the restaurant, one of them in a police uniform. They moved belongings into a silver gray van. Then they re-entered the restaurant.

In the evening Mr. Wang Jianguo's family went to Nanjing Police Station, asking the whereabouts of the couple. The police acknowledged the arrest. When the family wanted to see the couple, the police refused. The family pressed the police for the reason for the arrest, but the officer answered that he didn't know.

Agents from the Hadawan Police Station in the Changyi District had recently harassed Mr. Wang Jianguo's father, Wang Shusen, the reason being that the local government officials were afraid of practitioners going to Beijing during the time of the two CCP conferences.

Falun Gong practitioners Cao Yuzhen, Yang Benliang, Zhang Wei, and Lv Kaili were secretly put on trial in Liaoyang, charged with broadcasting the truth of the persecution on television. They all appealed, and exposed the fact that they were tortured during their detention. They requested to be released without charge.

After the incident in which the Nine Commentaries were broadcast on television in Haicheng City, Liaoning Province, police officers arrested at least seven practitioners. Those whose names are known are: Zhang Yaqin and her sister, Zhang Yali, who is visiting her from Dalian; Hou Weiyu from Ximu; Han Baolai from Zhongxiao Township; and three others whose names are not yet known.

Among them, practitioner Hou Weiyu from Wei Jiabao, Ximu Township, Haicheng City, had been constantly harassed by Ximu Police Station agents since July 20, 1999. On February 6, 2006, the second day after the Nine Commentaries were broadcast in Haicheng, Hou Weiyu was arrested again by the Ximu police. Currently, Hou Weiyu is detained at the Haicheng Detention Center.

Mr. Yang Qinbo is a practitioner from Macheng City in Hubei Province. He was followed by a spy from the National Guard on the afternoon of February 13, 2006, and was arrested at Macheng Laoche Station at around 5 p.m. The police also seized the medium-sized coach bus which Mr. Yang was driving at the time. Mr. Yang is currently detained at City Detention Center No. 1.

At Siping Prison, Falun Gong practitioners are treated differently from criminal prisoners. Criminal prisoners can eat meals with their families, and their families can send them fruit, clothes, and other items. Practitioners are not allowed these privileges.

At Siping Prison, prison guards suspected that practitioner Mr. Wang Guiming was distributing Teacher's articles. They tied him to an iron chair and used high voltage electric batons to shock him in an attempt to force him to reveal the source of the articles.

Currently, practitioner Mr. Wang Hongge is in Siping Prison Hospital for treatment of illness symptoms. To protest the prosecution, he has been on a hunger strike for a week so far.

The name of the practitioners from Xingtang C,ounty, Hehei Province who were sentenced to prison in August 2005 are:

Yang Yucui, for 10 years
Que Xiaoshe and Zhang Rongfa, nine years
Tian Yizhong, seven years
Fan Ruihai, four years
Sun Xiaoli and others, three years

These practitioners were arrested around November 2004. After they began a hunger strike, the detention center force-fed them salt water with chili.

Practitioner Ms. Zhang Minghong from Chengdu City in Sichuan Province was detained by the Fangcao Street Police Station on February 10, 2006, for clarifying the truth to the public. After police officers ransacked her home for no reason, they demanded that Ms. Zhang's husband's company not allow Ms. Zhang to remain in her home, because she currently rents an apartment in a housing district which her husband's company owns.

Zhuolu County Police Department agents arrested practitioner Mr. Shan Zhihong, a retiree from a bus station, in his dormitory inside the bus station compound in Zhuolu County on February 12, 2006.

12 Falun Gong practitioners have been sentenced to prison in Jinzhou City in Hebei Province since July 20, 1999. Three practitioners were sent to labor camps, and countless others were sent to brainwashing sessions.

Year 2001:

Yi Yuhui from Yijia Village Yangjiaying Township was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Yi Zhongyi from Yijia Village Yangjiaying Township was sentenced to nine years in prison.

Year 2002:

Zhu Zhenjuan from Shefotou Village, Zongshizhuang Town, was sentenced to seven years in prison.
Zhang Wenxue from Dawang Village, Chenjiazhuang Township, was sentenced to seven years.
Zhang Jianping from Dawang Village, Chenjiazhuang Township, was sentenced to seven years.
Zhang Dazha from Dawang Village, Chenjiazhuang Township, was sentenced to three years.
Zhang Zhengang from Dawang Village, Chenjiazhuang Township, was sentenced to three years.

Year 2004:

Lei Jiangtao from Leichen Village, Yuantou Township was sentenced to seven years.
Gu Liqiang from Leichen Village, Yuantou Township was sentenced to three years.
Liu Cangmiao from Maojia Village, ZongshiZhuang Township was sentenced to four years.

Year 2005:

Wang Yuechao from Nanwangjia Village, Zhoujiazhuang Town was sentenced to three and a half years.
Ru Ruixin from Susheng Village, Dongsi Town was sentenced to three years.

Tiantie Metallurgy Inc. is located in She county, Hebei Province. Tiantie Metallurgy Inc. Police Department Branch partnered with Hebei She County Police Department, ransacking homes and interrogating and detaining its employees Ms. Song Xiaoxia, Song Liqin, Cui Yanqin, Mr. Liu Chaofeng, Ms. Xu Zhixin, and Wang Heqin because they insisted on practicing Falun Gong.

Liu Chaofeng is currently serving a one-year-sentence in a forced labor camp. Song Xiaoxia, Song Liqin, and Cui Yanqin were also sentenced to one year of forced labor. After staging a hunger strike and joining efforts with their families, they managed to arrange to serve their terms outside prison. Later, the local 610 Office agent forced them to "transform" in order to be released. At the same time, Tiantie Metallurgy Inc. ended Ms. Song Xiaoxia, Song Liqin, Mr. Liu Chaofeng, Tian Zhigang, and Ms. Liang Hongyan's work contracts. (Practitioners Tian Zhigang and Ms. Liang Hongyan were released from prison after serving their terms.)

Practitioner Ms. Li Wei, 33 years old, was tortured so severely at Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp that she is unable to speak. A hospital diagnosed her with schizophrenia. Ms. Li is restrained in handcuffs at night to sleep. The handcuffs are taken off during the day. The labor camp uses physical torture on the practitioners who stand firm and insist on their beliefs, such as forcing them to stand for a long time, forcing them to watch fabricated Falun Gong videos and TV programs, and forcing them to write about their "feelings" at night or else they are not allowed to sleep. They have to watch the slanderous videos everyday, and they are forced to attend brainwashing sessions for three months.

One practitioner (name unknown) has heart problems, high blood pressure, and nephritis from the tortures. This practitioner, along with others, is still forced to make butterflies. In the process of making them, the burned foam gives strong, irritating fumes. These fumes are toxic; its choking odor makes people dizzy, causes them to have headaches, and results in them becoming forgetful. In addition, the fumes irritate people's airways and cause difficulty breathing. To decrease the intensity of the odor, the labor camp sprays a disinfectant. This practitioner is under a lot of psychological pressure from the torture. She is extremely weak physically and cannot do any work. The forced labor camp has caused tremendous harm to this practitioner and her family.

13. [Guangyuan, Sichuan Province] Approximately 10 Practitioners Are Arrested and Their Homes Ransacked

In the morning of February 10, 2006, practitioners Shao Hua, He Xuequan, and seven or eight others (names unknown) from Guangyuan were arrested and their homes ransacked by Guangyuan City, Cangxi County, Chengdong Police Station officials. Policemen seized Falun Gong books and truth clarification materials.

When Kebao Coal Mine employees Wang Bailan and Shi Tizhen in Kunming City in Yunnan Province went to Yiliang to tell the truth of the persecution to the public on October 20, 2004, they were arrested. They escaped from the detention center on May 16, 2005. When they went out to clarify the truth again on December 30, 2005, they were arrested for the second time and are currently detained at Yiliang Detention Center.

Practitioner Ms. Liu Xianghua from Mudanjiang was arrested in Ningan on February 11, 2006, along with a few other practitioners. Ms. Liu's home in Mudanjiang was searched, and Falun Gong materials and her computer were taken away. Sheis currently detained at Mudanjiang Detention Center No. 2.

On February 12, 2006, a group of policemen broke into and searched practitioner Ms. Ma Ying's home, seizing truth clarification materials. Ms. Ma was arrested. At the same time, practitioner Yang's home was also searched and practitioner Huang was arrested.

Two Falun Gong practitioners from Xiaodianzi Village, Pingdingshan Township in Xinbin County, Fushun City were arrested on February 14^, 2006. One practitioner's last name is Liu, the other Ma.

Practitioner Jia Meihua from Jimo city, Qingdao, Shandong Province, was arrested in the evening on February 11, 2006, while clarifying the truth of the persecution. Jia Meihua is currently detained at Mashan Detention Center.

In the morning on February 16, 2006, practitioner Li Ru from the Licang District of Qingdao City was arrested at home. Officers from the Licang District Hushan Street Police Station were responsible. Li Ru is currently detained at the Hushan Street Police Station.
