After the Sujiatun Concentration Camp was exposed on the Internet, the CCP Central Committee secretly sent people to Sujiatun on the evening of March 13, 2006. They held meetings with the District Head of the local government, the police department, the Procuratorate, the Department of Justice, the District Court, and the Public Health Bureau to make plans to deal with the repercussions.

In front of the Sujiatun District CCP Committee Compound is the entrance of an underground facility that was originally designed as a bomb shelter. The top was covered with trees and has since been converted to a public square.

The back gate of the Sujiatun Central Hospital has been changed into a patient visiting office that directly faces the square. In the past few years, the Sujiatun Central Hospital has undergone many large scale renovations, including remodeling, expansion, and being equipped with advanced equipment.

On October 31, 2005, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Ma Qinghai was illegally arrested by Gong Chuanxing and others from the Aohan National Security Group and detained at Aohan Detention Center in Inner Mongolia. He has been on a hunger strike lasting 130 days in order to protest the persecution. Mr. Ma was unlawfully sentenced to nine years in prison and was sent to Chifeng Prison, where he has been brutally tortured.

While being held at Aohan Detention Center, guard Miao Guangli and others savagely tortured and beat Ma Qinghai. Miao Guangli ordered about seven inmates to force-feed Mr. Ma through a contaminated rubber tube. The inmates inserted and pulled out the tube a dozen times until blood gushed from Ma Qinghai's nose and mouth and he lost consciousness. Due to the unbearable pain, Ma Qinghai bit the tube in half and part of the tube is now lodged inside his throat, obstructing his breathing. Guard Miao Guangli beat Ma Qinghai until he lost consciousness several times in a day. Gao Liang, head of the detention center, forced Ma Qinghai, who had been on hunger strike for more than two months, to stand barefoot in the snow. They tied him to a torture bed 24 hours a day, severely bruising his body.

During this period, perpetrators from the Aohan Police Department and from the court fabricated charges and sentenced Ma Qinghai to nine years in prison, without Mr. Ma's signature and without notifying his family. On January 12, 2006, they sent Ma Qinghai, who was weak from more than 70 days of hunger strike, to the Chifeng Prison. Recently, prison authorities force-fed Ma Qinghai with concentrated saline solution. Inmates knelt on his chest and held his neck with their hands; they nearly suffocated Ma Qinghai several times during the force-feeding and pinched his philtrum (acupuncture point in the indentation between the nose and upper lip) before he came to. Ma Qinghai sustained severe bruises on his face and neck. Yang Chunyue, head of the Chifeng City 610 Office and group head Ge denied knowledge of the inmates committing such an atrocity. Ma Qinghai has reached the limits of his physical and mental endurance. We hereby call on the assistance and support from people inside and outside China, to help free Ma Qinghai.

On August 3, 2005, police officers from the State Security Team in Panjin City abducted nine practitioners including Hou Yunfei, Hu Zhehui, Xin Minduo and Bao Juncen. While being held in the Panjin City Detention Center, these four practitioners were persecuted until they were in critical condition and could not take care of themselves. On September 12, 2005, the Xinglong District Court opened a court session and secretly sentenced them to prison for 14 years, 15 years, 13 years, and 12 years respectively.

After Ms. Hu Zhehui's husband obtained the court's written judgment by a related channel, he was threatened and dared not appeal for his wife. Hou Yunfei's family got the written judgment at the end of September. They turned to lawyers, but the lawyer they consulted was pressured and was afraid to accept the case. The families of Xin Minduo and Bao Juncen eventually received the written judgments. They became very anxious. On the eve of Chinese New Year, while most families were having happy reunions, they shed tears and expressed their grief over their missing loved ones.

Dalian Polytechnic University mechanical engineering department doctoral candidate Mr. Huang Hongqi was arrested and persecuted by party personnel in 2003, resulting in a mental breakdown. In February 2006 he was again arrested and his whereabouts remain unknown to this day.

Doctoral candidate Mr. Huang Hongqi is 35 years old. When the evil Party started the persecution against Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, he was in his final semester of his doctoral dissertation at Dalian Polytechnic University. Despite this pressure, Mr. Huang persisted in his belief of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He firmly stepped forward to clarify the truth and uphold the principles of Falun Gong. He also encouraged many other fellow practitioners to step forward. He was illegally arrested and imprisoned in the Dalian reformatory for two and a half years. His doctoral candidacy was also cancelled by the university.

After regaining his freedom, Mr. Huang was arrested by national security personnel in July 2003 for preparing truth-clarifying materials. At that time, the national security unit tried to convert Mr. Huang into a spy to work for them, promising him 100,000 yuan and other benefits as well as threatening him. He firmly resisted their corrupt plan and protected his fellow practitioners by not revealing their names or identities throughout the encounter. After suffering enormous and devastating abuse and persecution, he was released in December 2003. By this time he was extremely thin, his state of mind was unclear, he frequently suspected that the national security personnel were tracking and monitoring him and that his relatives, friends or colleagues would do him harm. He had completely lost the capability to work normally.

In February 2006, according to a family member's disclosure, on the third day of the Chinese Lunar New Year, while alone and on the way home from Shenzhen (or Guangzhou), he was arrested once more. Chinese Communist Party agents accused him of preparing truth clarifying materials. Now his whereabouts are still unknown. We urgently appeal to people with a sense of justice to please pay attention to this matter.

After the Shandong Province 610 Office in Laizhou illegally arrested about 30 Falun Gong practitioners and subjected them to brainwashing last year, they again arrested four female practitioners and sent them to forced labor on the eve of Chinese New Year this year. Despite the medical examination revealing that practitioners Ms. Zhang Xiuqin, Ms. Liu Yuexiang, Ms. Wang Yuehua and Ms. Wang Youqing were all ill, they were still persecuted in the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Zhang Xiuqin came from Koujia Village, Xiaqiu Township. In the forced labor camp, three guards tried to force her to step on and sit on Master Li's photo, but their attempt failed miserably. As a result, they brutally beat her until her body was covered with black and blue bruises. Then they grabbed her foot and pressed it against Master Li's photo, hoping to destroy her belief. Due to her serious injury, she could not get up from her bed for seven or eight days.

Ms. Liu Yuezxiang also came from Koujia Village and had many illnesses, including heart disease. Despite her weakened condition, the camp guards still used electric batons, handcuffs, and many other instruments of torture to persecute her. After Ms. Liu Yuexiang was brutally tortured and persecuted, she had problems opening her mouth to eat for more than three weeks.

Ms. Wang Yuehuan from Xingtaiwujia Village, Shahe Township, was brutally persecuted in the forced labor camp. The guards starved her for three days before severely beating her up. They punched, slapped, and even whipped her with a rubber hose. Her family has never received any notice of her sentence to forced labor.

Ms. Wang Youqing from Luanjia Village, Tushan Township, was also severely persecuted in the forced labor camp. The guards squeezed her neck until she was nearly suffocated. More than 20 officers ransacked her home for nearly two hours, not only to search her house but also to destroy many of her belongings. When they could not find anything, they decided to arrest Ms. Wang Youqing's husband, Mr. Luan Shihai, instead, who was also a Falun Gong practitioner, and take him to the brainwashing center. Her husband was severely persecuted for one night before being transferred to the Laizhou City Detention Center. In the detention center, he was then hung up before being beaten for four days and nights. When the guards did not obtain any information from him, they decided to release him only after extorting 10,000 yuan from him.

In October and November 2005, the Laizhou City 610 Office and National Security Team police Yuan Shushen, Yu Zhibin, Yang Xuandi, Liu Jingbing, Liu Weibin, Wang Yongguang, and many others arrested more than 30 practitioners and detained them in "the Wenchang Squadron of Forest Protection Group of Laizhou City" for brainwashing. During the brainwashing session, the police tried to make them give up their belief in Falun Gong.

Ms. Wang Yuehua was taken by the police when she was giving out truth clarifying materials in Laizhou City, whereas the other three female practitioners were taken from their respective houses to the brainwashing center. Many other practitioners were also severely beaten by the evil police.

Among those who took part in the persecution practitioners in the brainwashing center was Policewoman Wu Zhenqin. Every time, she was the first to slap practitioners before stepping on them with her high heel shoes. After that, about six to seven officers would all beat the practitioners together. Those who took part in beating practitioners included Liu Jingbing, Liu Weibin, Wang Yongguang, Shi Bintao, Zou, and many others.

For those who took part in beating practitioners, most of them received different degrees of retribution. Liu Jing suffered from severe lower back pain and could not get up from his bed. He even needed someone to support him when he wanted to beat practitioners. On the other hand, many other officers experienced stomach pain whenever they beat practitioners. Sometimes, they even vomited right after beating practitioners.

The 610 Office and the National Security Team police do not feel compelled to observe any governmental laws, human rights, nor heavenly laws. If they were not following the commands of the Chinese Communist Party, I believe they would not dare to be so arrogant and lawless.

Around 7 p.m. on February 24, 2006, practitioner from Beijing Mr. Zhong Kai was arrested on the way home from work by secret agents hiding in a local residential area. He is likely being held by the Xicheng District 610 Office. Also recently, a family-run truth clarification information center in the Haidian District was sabotaged and four Falun Gong practitioners were illegally arrested.

Mr. Pi Zhanlu and his wife, Liu Zhancui, from Shataizi Village, Anding Town in the Daxing District, were arrested from home in the evening after 7 p.m. on February 22. According to their family, the village Communist Party Secretary came to take them away with police officers from the town and from the Daxing District 610 Office. Falun Gong books and copies of "Minghui Weekly" were confiscated together with some other materials. The couple's whereabouts are currently unknown.

Practitioner Yang Shili, who used to practice the Falun Gong exercises openly in the Gaojiayuan area in the Chaoyang District, was arrested by the police on February 18 because he talked to people about the facts concerning Falun Gong.

On the evening of February 12, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yan Huiqin from Haidian District was arrested by police from the National Security Branch of Haidian District Police Department. That same night she was taken to Qinglongqiao Police Station and put into detention. The next day the police ransacked her home and took equipment and belongings worth tens of thousands of yuan. It is believed that she is jailed in Qinghe Detention Centre in Haidian District and is seriously ill from persecution.

A Falun Gong practitioner from the Research Institute of Carrier Rocket Technology (No. 1 Institute, Department of Astronautics) was arrested from the 711 Hospital of the Astronautics Department after being reported by a nurse for telling people the facts concerning Falun Gong. According to our source, the hospital and the department recently promoted 2,000-yuan cash rewards to encourage residents to report Falun Gong practitioners to the authorities. The nurse received a 2,000-yuan reward.

Beijing Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Anlin, over 60 years of age and a retired medical doctor from Beijing Normal University, has been arrested by the police a number of times, unlawfully detained, sent to forced brainwashing centers, and to one and a half years of forced labor in the winter of 2001. In 2005, in the days leading up to July 20, the anniversary of the day that full scale persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999, she was arrested again by the police and kept in Beijing's Haidian Detention Center. Her situation since the start of 2006 is unknown.

In addition, the Haidian District 610 Office has been regularly arresting Falun Gong practitioners in the district over the past few days.

For nearly seven years, the CCP has lashed out with cruel persecution against a group of people pursuing "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance." More and more people around the world are awakening to the tyrannical nature of the CCP, which is truly a leading terrorist, having committed crimes beyond redemption. 1. [Tianjin City] Practitioners Including Mr. Zhao Xiang Were Arrested by Wuqing District Police Department Before the Two Congressional Meetings

On the evening of February 26, 2006, the police of Wuqing Police Department arrested several practitioners including Mr. Zhao Xiang, Mr. Liu Lixing, and Ms.Wu Guirong as part of the conspiracy to capture these practitioners. The policemen dragged the practitioners into police vehicles and sent them to the Wuqing Police Department where they were persecuted. To date, no visits have been allowed and there has been no news at all about them.

Ms. Ma Ling from Kunming City has been jailed at Team Three of Kunming City Drug-Treatment Labor Camp since November 1, 2004. Her family members have been forbidden from visiting her on many occasions. Her family finally had the chance to meet with her on February 4, March 20, and April 17, 2005. Ms. Ma Ling exposed the incident of the police beating up a practitioner named Yang Xiaoming, which scared the police. As a result, her family members were not allowed to visit her for six entire months.

On September 21, 2005, two police officers including Song Qingli (badge number 5345017) and Liu Xianmin (badge number 5345024) of Kunming City Drug-Treatment Labor Camp sent Ms. Ma Ling to a secret brainwashing class. In the lobby outside the rooms, there were male police officers standing on duty. Day and night, the curtains were pulled shut. Every day, there would be some people (who could not be identified) trying to brainwash and threaten Ms. Ma Ling. It lasted for 21 days.

After she was sent back to Kunming City Drug-Treatment Labor Camp, Ms. Ma Ling experienced symptoms of illness that lasted for over a month. During that time, she had been receiving injections for three days. At the repeated request of Ms. Ma Ling's family, they were allowed to see Ms. Ma Ling on November 5, 2005, November 24, 2005 and March 03, 2006.

Additionally, a practitioner named Yang Xiaoming was once again beaten at Kunming City Drug-Treatment Labor Camp. His face had been beaten until it was swollen, and his nose was bleeding.

5. [Chongqing City] Situation of Mr. Zhang Qiyong, Mr. Tian Yicheng and Yuan Zhiqiang Who are Being Persecuted

Mr. Zhang Qiyong, a resident from Jijiang, was arrested on May 1, 2004 by police from the Jiangbei District Huahui Garden when he was walking. He was put into Yongchuan Jail after he had been persecuted at Jijiang Detention Center. He and one other fellow practitioner named Tian Yicheng are being jailed at Yongchuan Jail and severely tortured there.

Mr. Yuan Zhiqian, over 30 years old, was arrested at Jiangjin in May 2003. He suffered a lung infection after being tortured. In 2004, he was transferred to Chongqing City Jail (at Dangzishi, the former Sichuan Province No. 2 Jail) and continued to be tortured there. He was not allowed to see his family.

Since his father could not see him for a long time, his father was under severe mental stress. In 2005, his father, who suffered from cancer, called his son's name and wanted to see his son for the last time before he died, but he was not allowed to do so. In the Chinese New Year 2006, his family strongly demanded to see Mr. Yuan Zhiqian, but the request was once again refused. His 80-year-old grandmother's eyes were filled with tears each day. She was also under severe mental stress.

On March 4, 2006, Daqing District sent out over twenty policemen to Ms. Yu Guixiang's home. They smashed open her door, breaking apart the lock with a hammer. Over twenty policemen broke into her home. The police beat Ms. Yu Guixiang's son with an electric baton, and confiscated his computer. Now Ms. Yu Guixiang's son is being followed around the clock. All the phone-calls of Ms. Yu Guixiang's relatives are kept under surveillance.

8. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Northwestern Industrial University Forced Young Students to Lie

I am a university student of the Northwestern Industrial University. Even to this day, the Northwestern Industrial University demands that students write their so-called "understanding" of Falun Gong. Everyone has to "pass the test." The relevant teachers have to test the students to see whether or not they pass. Those who do not pass the test will be forced to answer. On the school website today, there is still material that defames Falun Gong.

Ms. Xin Wenzhen, an assistant professor at Northwest Industrial University, has been persecuted for long time because she is determined in cultivating Falun Gong. Her husband, who is not a practitioner, but a supporter of Falun Gong, was also arrested and persecuted.

9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Zhao Yan Was Arrested at Ningbo - He Now Faces an Illegal Trial

In mid November 2005, Zhao Yan, a practitioner from Harbin City who resides at Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, was arrested from his home in Ningbo City. He was arrested for preparing and giving out truth-clarifying DVDs and the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party DVDs. The police confiscated two of his computers and also a DVD burner. Zhao Yan is currently being jailed at Ningbo City Detention Center. One month later, Zhao Yan is likely to be facing trial. It is said that the court decided to sentence him to three to seven years of imprisonment.

10. [Shaowu City, Fujian Province] Ms. Wei Jianyu is on a Hunger Strike to Appeal Against the Persecution

Practitioner Ms. Wei Jianyu from Shaowu City, Fujian Province, was arrested from home by the National Security Team on February 20, 2006. She is now being jailed at Shaowu City Detention Center. She went on a hunger strike. She was forcibly taken to a hospital.

The National Security Team found and took away large amounts of truth-clarifying material from her home. They confiscated her computer, printer and CD burner. They also confiscated a large amount of her money. This large sum of money came from her house that she had sold. The house had been sold at a low price after she was fired from her workplace due to her determination in cultivating Falun Gong.

11. [Shihezi, Xinjiang] Mr. Zhao Aijun Holds A Hunger Strike to Appeal Against the Illegal Persecution

Mr. Zhao Aijun, from Shihezi, Xinjiang was arrested by the Shihezi Police Department spies in Wulumuqi City on February 14, 2006. Currently he is being jailed at Shihezi City No. 1 Detention Center. Mr. Zhao Aijun has been on hunger strike for over ten days. It is said that he is facing an illegal sentencing.

In The News from China on February 19, 2006 "A Practitioner Named Ms. Zhou Haixia from Shihezi, Xinjiang Was Illegally Arrested" was misprinted. It was actually Ms. Zhou Haixia's husband, Mr. Zhao Aijun, instead of Zhou herself, who was arrested. Ms. Zhou Haixia was forced to become homeless.

Mr. Zhao Aijun escaped with righteous thoughts in 2003 after he was arrested by the Shihezi police. Later he was wanted and has since become homeless.

12. [Anshan, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sun Yujie Was Arrested from Home by Lishan District Public Security Sub-bureau

At around 7:00 p.m. on March 4, 2006, Mr. Sun Yujie from Anshan City was arrested from home by the Lishan District Public Security Sub-bureau. He was not even allowed to put on his shoes when he was arrested. At the same time, two of his printers, a laptop and some other belongings were also confiscated. Currently Mr. Sun Yujie is being jailed at the detention center.

13. [Hunan Province] Ms. Zhou Xiaohong Was Detained Beyond Term By the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Hunan Province

In March 2006, the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp of Hunan Province started severely persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Ms. Zhou Xiaohong from Binzhou was supposed to be released on February 25 after she finished serving her term. However, she was given an additional two months of imprisonment. She has been tortured for over twelve days without sleep. Her physical condition is very worrying.

In late February 2006, Mr. Yang Zhiqiang from Butuo County, Liangshanzhou, Sichuan Province was arrested by the Butuo Police Department. His home was searched and his home TV was confiscated.

15. [Wendeng, Shandong Province] Practitioners Including Li Jianzhen Were Arrested

Ms. Li Jianzhen, 44, and her daughter Liu Mingming, 20, and nephew (whose name is unknown) were arrested in the evening on March 5, 2006 by the Wendeng 610 Office.

16. [Jilin Province] Mr. Chen Jihai's Home Was Searched and He Was Forced to Become Homeless

On March 3, 2006, the police from the Er'daoxiang Police Substation of Fengman District, Jilin City suddenly broke into Mr. Chen Jihai's home. His family came over when they heard the noise and refused the illegal search. The police confiscated Falun Gong materials, a Jetta car and they also took away his wife, who is not a practitioner, so that they could force her to betray her husband. They did not release her until late in the afternoon. At night, the police still went to his home trying to arrest him. Now Mr. Chen Jihai is unable to go home.

17. [Luoyang, Henan Province] Situation of Ms. Li Miaoneng Being Persecuted

Ms. Li Miaoneng from Luoyang, Henan Province has been arrested and detained several times for practicing Falun Gong. In 2004, Ms. Li Miaoneng was forced to leave home. In October 2005, she was once again arrested and tortured by the Luoyang Jianxi Police Department. She has been imprisoned at Luoyang Detention Center. Ms. Li Miaoneng's daughter has also been illegally imprisoned at Luoyang City Detention Center, because she went looking for her mother.

At around 10:00 p.m. on March 1, 2006, fifteen persons in total from the Yidu 610 Office, the Police Department and the National Security Team arrested a practitioner named Mr. Zhao Jucai. At noon the next day, the director of the Village Neighborhood Security Committee, and the police from Honghuatao Town searched Mr. Zhao Jucai's home. It is thought that Mr. Zhao Jucai remains in detention at Yidu City Detention Center.

19. [Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Yuansen Has Been Tortured by the Jiamushi Jail - He now suffers from a Mental Disorder

Mr. Zhang Yuansen was illegally sentenced and jailed at No. 4 District, No. 4 Branch Jail, Jiamushi Jail in Heilongjiang Province. Since Zhang Yuansen has been very determined in his belief in Falun Gong, and refused to be "transformed," he has been cruelly tortured many times by Zhou Qingguo, the team leader, and Teng Shuliang, the instructor.

On February 16, 2006 when a table fell down, two policemen named Zhou Qingguo and Teng Shuliang forced the prisoners to blame Zhang Yuansen for this. They used it as an excuse to beat Zhang Yuansen's back and the lower part of his body.

On February 17, they put Zhang Yuansen into the confinement room with the excuse of interfering with production. He was tied to the ground for fifteen days. He had to pass urine and feces in his pants. Currently Zhang Yuansen feels mental burdened.

Ms. Gao Wenmei, a practitioner from Zhaochunyuan, Kuiwen District, Weifang City was arrested secretly by the police on February 27, 2006. Her whereabouts remain unknown.

At around 8:00 p.m. on March 2, 2006, Ms. Cao Shanyue, Ms. Yang Lanzhen, Ms. Zang Meihua, Ms. Wang Shunying and Ms. Wang Yuying were reported to the police when they were practicing Falun Gong at home. They were arrested by a group of policemen led by Xu Qingming from the 610 Office and the District Chief named Wang Qingquan.

23. [An'shan City, Jilin Province] Practitioners Including Miao Shuyun Were Arrested

Ms. Miao Shuyun and Ms. Sun Xiufang were arrested by the police led by the section chief named Wang Dengke, from the Anshan City Dalu Police Substation. The materials center at Daxi Street was destroyed. Equipment and money was confiscated.

24. [Jilin] Ms. Wu Zhirong Was Arrested

Ms. Wu Zhirong, over 50 years old, a primary school teacher of Chunguang Primary School, Chuanying District, Jilin City, started practicing Falun Gong in 2000. She works very hard, and she receives good comments from the students and their parents. She has been nominated as an excellent teacher in the city, on numerous occasions.

Ms. Wu Zhirong was reported to the police while she clarified the truth. At around 3:00 p.m. on March 2, 2006, Chunguang Primary School of the Chuanying District, Jilin City, together with the police from the Shahezi Police Substation, forcibly arrested Ms. Wu Zhirong from school and illegally searched her home. Currently Ms. Wu Zhirong is being jailed at Jilin City Chuanying Public Security Sub-bureau.

25. [Liaoyang City, Liaoying Province] The Police from the Liaoyang County Tried to Arrest Falun Gong Practitioners

It was learned that on March 6, 2006, the police from the Liaoyang City at Mayitun tried to arrest Falun Gong practitioners. A day before that, the police also tried to harass some of the practitioners. They took their fingerprints and inquired about whether or not they went out. This may have occurred because of the Yitun TV tapping incident.

26. [Jilin Province] Practitioners Including Ms. Zhang Xiuling Are Being Tortured by Police of Jilin Women's Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Zhang Xiuling could not walk on her own after she was kicked down stairs by Liu Zhiwei, who is the guard of Team Four of Jilin Women's Forced Labor Camp. On the night of February 6, 2006, Wang Zhufeng, a 28-year-old policewoman from Team Four, searched all over Ms. Zhang Xiuling's bed with her hands. Ms. Zhang Xiuling was woken up and tried to reason with her. Ms. Wang Zhufeng also incited prisoners to curse and beat the practitioners.

On February 9, Zhang Guimei, Team Four leader, picked up Ms. Li Yongjun and then threw her onto the floor. He also used vicious language to curse her. Zhang Guimei also beat Ms. Li Yongjun with a high-voltage electric baton. Ms. Li Yongjun now has many bruises all over her body. Currently Zhang Guimei is still torturing many determined practitioners such as Ms. Jin Min, Ms. Zhao Zhiqin, Ms. Zhang Xiuling and Ms. Li Yongjun. The police forced them to sit on an ice-cold floor for a long time.

Ms. Zhao Shumei, a 52-year-old practitioner from Tonghua City was handcuffed to the bed by the Team Four leader Guan Wei, because she greeted Happy New Year to Master Li. For a total of sixteen days beginning February 16, she was forced to do everything on her bed, including eating and urinating.

27. [Yanji, Jilin] Practitioners Including Ms. An Yingji Were Arrested

On February 28, 2006, several practitioners from Yanji City were arrested. Now it has been confirmed that Ms. An Yangji (over 50 years old), of Korean decent, and her good friend and fellow practitioner, whose name is unknown, were arrested and are now being jailed at Tumen Detention Center. Currently it is known that there are three material centers in Yanji City which have been destroyed.

28. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Over Twenty Practitioners Including Jin Zhenshu Were Arrested

Over twenty practitioners from Changchun including Ms. Jin Zhenshu (74 years old), Ms. Yao Fenglan (56 years old), Ms. Tan Huifeng (72 years old), Ms. Song Fengqin (68 years old), Ms. Wang Weizhen (70 years old), Ms. Cao Se (63 years old), Ms. Lu Shukun (over 60 years old), Ms. Jiang Shulan (64 years old), Ms. Zhang Shuxian (67 years old), Mr. Li Yan, Mr. Zhao Yufu, Ms. Zhao Shulan (66 years old), and Ms. Luan Yi (67 years old) were arrested. It is said there were three material centers that had been destroyed.

29. [Yidu City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhao Jucai was Arrested from Home

On March 2, 2006, a practitioner from Honghuatao Town, Yidu City, Hubei Province named Mr. Zhao Jucai was arrested from home by the police from the National Security Team, the staff from the town Police Substation and the Neighborhood Committee. At home, Mr. Zhao Jucai has only his wife, a 5-year-old child and a daughter who is attending high school.

In September 2005, Mr. Zhao Jucai was arrested by the National Security Team and the Town Police Substation. Mr. Zhao Jucai escaped with righteous thoughts and was forced to become homeless.

30. [Jiangxi Province] Ms. Li Xiaochun and Ms. Li Xiaolan Illegally Jailed at Jiujiang County Detention Center

Ms. Li Xiaochun from Zhoutoucun, Jiujiang County, Jiangxi Province was arrested by the Jiangzhou Village Police Department on the evening of December 30, 2005 for giving out truth-clarifying materials. The next morning, he was sent to the Jiujiang County Detention Center and was detained there for 25 days. Later he was sentenced to one year of forced labor camp. When his family requested to visit him, the detention center forced them to curse Falun Gong. Otherwise, they would not be allowed to meet him.

Ms. Li Xiaolan, from Zhoutou was arrested by the Jaingzhou Police Substation for clarifying the truth. Currently she is being detained at the Jiujiang County Detention Center.

31. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Practitioners Including Mr. Liu Zhenxi Were Arrested and the Material Centers Destroyed

Since February 28, 2006, it has been verified that Mr. Liu Zhenxi, Mr. Sun Zelin, Ms. Dong Guizhi, a practitioner with last name Deng, and Ms. Song Guoru were arrested, and several material centers were destroyed. The witness said that the Police Department towed away a truck of goods. The above-mentioned five fellow practitioners have been arrested many times and sent to brainwashing classes, forced labor camps and the detention center. They were tortured there.

32. [Benxi, Liaoning Province] The Benxi City 610 Office and the Police Department Tried to Further Persecute Falun Gong Practitioners

Recently, the Benxi 610 Office and the Police Department held meetings to arrange severe persecution against those practitioners in charge of the materials centers and those who gave out truth-clarifying materials. They employed various ways, including ambushing, stalking and encircling to catch the practitioners who transported and distributed truth-clarifying materials. They searched practitioners' homes and destroyed their books.

33. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Xiao Zou Was Arrested by the Taoshan Patrolling Police Team

At about 6:00 a.m. on March 3, 2006, Xiao Zou's son was ready to go to school. The moment they opened the door, the police who were waiting outside came into the home, confiscating over twenty Falun Gong cards and some materials. They arrested Xiao Zou and forced her into the police vehicle. Currently Xiao Zou is being illegally detained at Taoshan Patrolling Police Team.

34. [Yancheng, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Yang Zhiping Illegally Detained for Over Six Months

Ms. Yang Zhiping, from Yangcheng, Jiangsu Province, over 50 years old, was reported to the police last year for mailing out truth-clarifying materials to Nanjing City. She has ever since been detained at Yancheng City Detention Center for six months. Another practitioner, whose name is unknown, was implicated, and as a result has also been detained in the detention center.

35. [Liaoning Province] Liu Wanli and Liu Wei Were Persecuted by the Jinzhou Re-education Camp

Liu Wanli, a practitioner from Shuizhong County, Huludao City, Liaoning Province, was secretly transferred from Jinzhou Nanshan Jail to Team Four of the Panjin Jail on March 6, 2006. The practitioner is being tortured.

Mr. Liu Wei, is imprisoned at Jinzhou Re-education Camp. Since he did not give up his belief, the police did not allow his family to visit him. Many times, his wife traveled a long distance with their 6-year-old son to see him, but she was forbidden to do so.

36. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Wang Shumei Illegally Imprisoned at the Local Police Station

At around eight o'clock on March 3, 2006 Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Wang Shumei was reported while she was posting truth-clarifying materials in an area near the Xinhua Police Station. At around 10 o'clock seven or eight policemen stormed into her home, ransacked it, and detained her at the Nandajie Police Station.

37. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Tian Rensong Illegally Arrested

At 4:00 a.m. on March 2, 2006 police in Shenzhou City arrested Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Tian Rensong as he arrived home from working the graveyard shift. Recently, the Shenzhou City Police have unlawfully arrested three Falun Gong practitioners.

38. [Beijing City] Officers from the Niujie Police Station in Xuanwu District Arrested Liao Yiping at Home

Ms. Liao Yiping, an elderly Falun Gong Practitioner (about 60 years old) from the Beijing University of Finance and Economics was arrested at home by officers of the Niujie Police Station in Xuanwu District. Currently, she is illegally detained at the Lizeqiao Detention Center of Xuanwu District.

39. [Hebei Province] Tile Frescos Defaming Falun Gong at Cheng'guan Town, Luquan City

From fall of 2005, 12 tile frescos defaming Falun Gong were visible on the wall of a house across the street from the Second Experimental Elementary School in Cheng'guan Town, Luquan City, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. Each tile was about 1.5 meter high and 1 meter wide.

On March 3, 2006 Wang Lihua, a worker from the Neighborhood Administration, along with policemen, illegally arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Shuying of Chaoyang District, Beijing City. Her home was ransacked and she was detained at the Chaoyang District Detention Center.

45. [Hebei Province] Guo Guiju and Liu Lanfen were Imprisoned in the "Disciplinary Class" of the Baoding Forced Labor Camp

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Guo Guiji from Xiong County has been illegally imprisoned in the Baoding Forced Labor Camp in Heibei Province for more than one year. 49. [Cao County, Shandong Province] Ren Fenglian was Arrested at Home

At around 11:00 p.m. on January 27, 2006 Yang Zhifang, the commander of the police station in Suji Town, Cao County, Shandong Province, lead more than ten people and broke into the home of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Ren Renglian at Laoguanlou Village. They broke down the door and arrested Ren Fenglian. After they ransacked the house they took away Ren Fenglian's son's two new sweaters.

51. [Shanghai City] Police Officers from Longbo Village Arrest Liu Xiuzhen

On February 26, 2006 officers of the Longbo Village Police Station in Shanhai City arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Xiuzhen. She was sent to the detention center at 838 Dongchuan Road. No family members were allowed to visit or bring Ms. Liu fresh clothes.

52. [Jilin Province] Officers from the National Security Group of Nong'an County and Police Station Tried to Arrest Falun Gong Practitioner Wang Xianguo

At around 2:00 p.m. on March 2, 2006 more than ten people, including Du Hengzhi from Nong'an County National Security Group, and Wang Shuce from Gucheng Police Station of Nong'an County stormed the home of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Xianguo, located in the dormitory area of the Nogn'an Oil Station. They wanted to unlawfully ransack his home and arrest him, but they failed.

53. [Yunnan Province]

Nine Falun Gong practitioners, including Wang Nan, who were illegally arrested in July 2005, rejected the verdict of the Court of Kunming City. They will file an appeal together.

55. [Jilin Province] Jilin "New Culture Newspaper" Defames Falun Gong

On January 18, 2006 an article defaming Falun Gong entitled, "A Woman Was Detained by a Falun Gong Practitioner for Two Years in England, Our Embassy Rescued Her" was posted on many websites in China. The writer was Xin Yan from the Jilin "New Culture Newspaper."

On March 3, 2006 Changchun City edition of the "New Culture Newspaper" again printed lies viciously defaming Falun Gong. The title of the article was, "Rong Na Recovered and Ready for Work." It ended with, "Jiangcheng Woman Rong Na Suffered Overseas, Our Embassy Successfully Rescued Her." Again the writer was Xin Yan from Jilin's "New Culture Newspaper." The article and photo covered half of the page.

The party secretary, Wang Zenli, declared the working focus of 2006 is to suppress and persecute Falun Gong. On February 22, 2006 the head of the 610 Office and about a dozen others broke into the home of a Falun Gong practitioner. They ransacked the house and confiscated truth-clarifying materials and Falun Gong books.

59. [Shaanxi Province] Persecution Facts for a Falun Gong Practitioner of Xi'an City

1. On January 17, 2006 Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Li Xiaoyun and Mr. Li Xueyi (sister and brother), were illegally arrested by the police from the Tianjiawan Police Station of Xi'an City while they were spreading truth-clarifying materials in the Hansenzhai Area, an eastern suburb of Xi'an City. Policemen severely beat them with their knees and elbows for 48 hours. The beatings caused internal injuries. After that they were sent to the Dayanta Detention Center.

2. Two young Falun Gong practitioners (university students from Henan Province) from Yanta Area, Xi'an City were illegally sentenced to eight and ten years in prison respectively.

3. On January 18, 2006 Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Ji Yulian was arrested for spreading truth-clarifying materials. She is imprisoned in the detention center of the Yanta Police Station in Xi'an City.

4. Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Sun Shulan has been on a hunger strike for thirty six days. The responsible policeman is Yuan Wei from National Security Group at the Yanta Police Station.

5. In the Women's Forced Labor Camp in Shaanxi Province, Falun Gong practitioners who refused to be transformed were isolated from one another. Their family members were not allowed to visit the camp for three months. They weren't allowed to make purchases for their daily needs.

6. On March 2, 2006 Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wan Xinlian finished her term in a forced labor camp. However, since she refused to be "transformed," her term was extended for one more month.

A Falun Gong practitioner went to the Tianditong Copy Store located at Beijing Road, Jinchang City to copy a word modification list for Falun Gong books. As a result, he (or she) was arrested on the street by four people. His (or her) home was ransacked and truth-clarifying material was taken away.

62. [Guangdong Province] CCP's Propaganda Department and the Political and Legal System of Guangdong Province Issued a Secret Document Defaming Falun Gong

Recently the CCP's Propaganda Department and the Political and Legal System of Guangdong Province jointly issued a secret document. In the document certain departments were directed to enforce the monitoring and control of news reports on "Group Activities, Sensitive Incidents, and Important Incidents." For these types of reports, media groups must contact the Propaganda Department and the Political and Legal System immediately. Only after both sections agree and unify their descriptions can the news be reported. Failing that the media departments would be punished. In the document the activities of Falun Gong are categorized as "Sensitive Incidents," and there was content defaming Falun Gong.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Hu Keling is 42 years old and was a teacher at a Laixi City Middle School in Qingdao, Shandong Province. A student's parent reported her for clarifying the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. On December 30, 2005, officers from the Qingdao Road Police Station in Laixi City illegally arrested and took her to the police station where they detained her for seven days. She held a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

On the morning of January 21, 2006, officers from the Qingdao Road Police Station and two plainclothes police officers arrested Hu Keling and sent her to the Qingdao Road Police Station. The police forcefully handcuffed her and injured her wrists in the process. Wang Hong, a woman from Laixi City Police Department, Zhou, Li and three other young officers from Qingdao Road Police Station took Hu Keling to the Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City. The detention center authorities refused to admit Hu Keling because her blood pressure was too high. They sent Hu Keling home.

On February 16, 2006, the middle school was pressured to fire Hu Keling and pay her a mere 380 yuan a month.
