"Today, seven years ago, history focused on Beijing, China, when more than 10,000 Chinese citizens from across China stood in front of Beijing's State Department Appeals Office (near Zhongnanhai). It is the first time in China's 5,000 year history that there occurred such a large-scale peaceful and rational rights advocacy movement of citizens' appeal. This day is remembered as the 'April 25' Peaceful Appeal when more than 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners spontaneously assembled outside the appeals office to hold a large-scale appeal in order to safeguard their legal rights and beliefs. The Chinese Communist regime (CCP) later labeled it as so-called, 'Incident of besieging Zhongnanhai,' and it became the excuse for the CCP to initiate a nation-wide brutal persecution of the Falun Gong group."
On Chicago's Federal Square, people passing by stopped to listen to the speech made by Dr. Yang Sen from Mid US Falun Dafa Association. Dozens of Falun Gong practitioners from the Chicago area held a rally here to commemorate the "April 25" peaceful appeal held seven years ago. At the same time, the practitioners protested the CCP's continuous and brutal persecution, especially the CCP's atrocities recently revealed of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and selling their harvested organs for profit, which is happening in China's forced labor camps. The practitioners strongly urged the international community to pay attention to and investigate all forced labor camps in China.
Representative of Falun Gong practitioners also read the Resolution NO. 1113 jointly sponsored by 24 House Representatives and just passed by the Illinois House of Representatives on April 19, strongly condemning the CCP's atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for transplants. The resolution urges the United States government to investigate organ transplants in China and take all reasonable steps to bring an end to the revolting practice of harvesting organs from living prisoners for transplants. The resolution calls upon the United States government to prohibit any doctors who have performed transplants using organs harvested from living prisoners from gaining entry into the United States. The resolution also calls upon the United Nations, the International Committee of the Red Cross, Amnesty International, or other human rights organizations to each begin an investigation into these atrocities.
At the rally, practitioners also read the testimony of two eyewitnesses who risked their lives to disclose the Sujiatun Concentration Camp tragedy during the meeting between Hu and Bush in Washington DC. They testified that atrocities of mass organ thefts and live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners have taken place in all forced labor camps in China. They expressed at the rally in Washington DC that though the CCP has relocated and evacuated the Sujiatun death camp, the CCP has no way to evacuate and transfer Falun Gong practitioners detained in all forced labor camps where large-scale atrocities have taken place and are still going on. Witness Annie called for an investigation of other prisons, hospitals and related facilities in China, because the CCP has no way to cover up all evidence of crimes. Witness Peter hoped that his act to rescue those persecuted Falun Gong practitioners would encourage more insiders to bravely step forward to tell the public what they know.
Seven years have passed, and Falun Gong practitioners around the world have walked the path of anti-persecution for seven years. Nearly 3,000 Falun Gong practitioners have been verified to have died as a result of the persecution. Falun Gong practitioners around the world are continuing their efforts to stop the persecution using kind and non-violent methods.
Dr. Yang Sen ended his speech by saying, "In facing a seemingly-strong state machinery and state terrorism that reaches everywhere, Falun Gong practitioners and all people who support Falun Gong have chosen a noble way: peacefulness, rationality and kindness. In history, when violence and barbarism continuously suppressed a spiritual strengthen of great compassion and tolerance, the consequence is self-evident. It validates an old Chinese saying, 'Good will be rewarded and evil be punished'!"
On the morning of April 25, the weather was mixed rain and snow. At noon, Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy in Ottawa to protest the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP's) brutal persecution of Falun Gong, and to commemorate those fellow practitioners tortured to death for safeguarding the truth.
No Violence, No Politics, Peacefully and Rationally Safeguarding Basic Rights and Protesting Persecution
Mr. Li from Taiwan said during an interview, "On April 25 seven years ago, Falun Gong practitioners went to Beijing to appeal for a lawful environment. But the Jiang and Luo faction created a trap and deceived the public into believing that Falun Gong besieged Zhongnanhai. Actually, the practitioners were peaceful and rational."
Ms. Pu Huilin, who has done business in Canada for many years, started to practice Falun Gong after the appeal on "April 25" seven years ago. She said, "Many Chinese people overseas do not believe CCP. I did not know Falun Gong until I saw the CBC news on the "April 25" appeal in 1999. I thought that the practitioners' action was great. After the persecution, I tried Falun Gong because I knew that the CCP always lied and called black white. Before practicing, I had incurable illnesses including rosacea and arthritis. After practicing Falun Gong, a miracle occurred and I completely recovered from the illnesses."
The Peace and Rationality of Falun Gong Practitioners Will Move the Public
Mr. Li Xun, Director of the Canada Falun Dafa Association said, "The CCP has accumulated many persecution means and methods through many political struggles during several dozen years. Chinese people gradually submit to the CCP regime and lose the national spirituality. But when facing persecution, Falun Gong practitioners do not tolerate passively but protest using peaceful means, which gives hope for Chinese nationality."
Practitioner Dai Gengyu said, "Silence connives at persecution. Seven years ago, Falun Gong practitioners stood up to protect belief and dignity. They called for justice and conscience not only for themselves, but for all people. It has been demonstrated that practitioners have continuously followed Truth, Compassion, Forbearance, and clarified the truth to all circles, calling for an end to the persecution. It is also a process of calling for conscience."
Mr. Li said, "For seven years, the exposed persecution has been escalated continuously, including killings, rapes, and live organ removals from Falun Gong practitioners. In such brutal persecution, Falun Gong has not succumbed. The practitioners' righteousness and the CCP's evilness show more contrast. The practitioners' peace and rationality move more Chinese people to recognize the CCP's evil nature and renounce it. More than ten million Chinese people have publicly renounced the CCP."
On the afternoon of April 25, 2006, the seventh anniversary of the "April 25" Appeal, representatives of The Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG) went to the Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco to apply for visas to enter China to thoroughly look into the persecution facts against Falun Gong practitioners and collect evidence. At the same time, practitioners in the Bay Area held a rally outside the Chinese Consulate to expose the CCP's monstrous atrocities of brutally torturing and abusing and harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners. They called for an end to the persecution.
Practitioners in the Bay Area held a rally outside the Chinese Consulate to expose the CCP's live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners and call for an end to the persecution.
Representatives from the CIPFG who came to apply for visas included: NTDTV reporters Zhang Fen and Xu Zhen. This is the first time for investigators in the US to apply visas at the CCP's Consulate, following the formal visa applications from investigators in Australia and Europe to request to go to Mainland China to investigate the facts.
CCP diplomat's sincerity of inviting the international media to go to Mainland China to investigate will be verified
Investigators Zhang Fen and Xu Zhen entered the visa hall at the Chinese Consulate at 2:00 p.m. and joined the queue for visa application. Several media reporters followed them into the visa hall, trying to make a report on it. The consulate staff saw reporters' cameras and videocams, and immediately walked up to try to drive them out. One consulate officer even attempted to grab NTDTV reporter's videocam. Reporters questioned that this is a public place for people to apply for visas, if no picture taken were allowed inside the hall, we would not do so, but why reporters were not allowed to watch the whole process of investigators' visa applications. One of the consulate officer said he only did things according to the directives from above.
In less than five minutes after entering the visa hall, two investigators were called into a room to meet an official for twenty minutes.
Zhang Fen said an official for visa application came to talk with them. She explained to the official that she came to respond to the open invitation from the spokesperson for the CCP's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qin Gang, at a press conference.
Zhang Fen said she said she hoped to be able to enter China to join in the investigation prior to May 1, because the live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners for profit is taking place in forced labor camps throughout the country, and Chinese hospitals expressed that there were a large number of organ sources prior to May 1, and no organs would be available after May 1. Many witnesses expressed that this indicates that the CCP is removing the evidence of crimes. The official did not respond to this.
Zhang Fen said when she asked the official what the CCP officials think of investigators' applying for visas to go to China to investigate the persecution of Falun Gong, he said he knew the reporters are eloquent and are able to ask many questions, but he is helping issue visa applications here, not participating in an interview.
When Zhang Fen asked him about the visa application, the official answered that this application has gone beyond his purview, and he could not make the decision now. He said he would ask for instructions from above in China and then give her a reply. After collecting related application materials, photocopy of passport, and contact information, the talk was over.
Xu Zhen said that the two investigators have had their visa application rejected. If they could obtain the visas, they would have to wait.
Zhang Fen expressed that time is pressing. She would soon call the Consulate, and she hoped to get a positive reply. At the time, Qin Gang's sincerity of inviting international media to go to Mainland China to investigate would be verified.
CIPFG aims to look into all facilities where Falun Gong practitioners have been locked up
Sherry Zhang, spokesperson for Falun Gong and the CIPFG expressed that according to various investigations, in Mainland China, the largest places where Falun Gong practitioners have been mercilessly tortured and abused are forced labor camps and prisons. Under the CCP's policy of "beating [Falun Gong practitioners] to death means nothing," brutal persecution, including sex abuses and harassment, live organ harvesting and other tortures and abuses, happening in these places reached the peak in 2003.
Sherry Zhang said that not until three weeks after witnesses came out to expose the dark truth in the Sujiatun Concentration Camp did the CCP's Ministry of Foreign Affairs came out to deny the charge and invite the international media to investigate. However, within the three weeks, the CCP has destroyed all evidence, and transferred all witnesses. All people who looked into the Sujiatun would find nothing there.
Sherry Zhang pointed out that Sujiatun is only the tip of the iceberg, and atrocities of live organ removal for profit have been taking place in all forced labor camps, prisons and other related facilities throughout China. It is now time for the iceberg to surface in the water, and if the investigation is not carried out in time, the CCP will have the time to destroy all witnesses and material evidence and put on another show by inviting an investigation.
Xu Zhen expressed that the CCP has been good at hiding evidence. Only Falun Gong practitioners truly understand its evil nature, and know where it has committed crimes. Therefore, we will go to the particular places this time--all places where Falun Gong practitioners have been detained, to conduct interviews and cover the true situation of Falun Gong practitioners being tortured and abused.
The CCP produced the "April 25" incident, and chose their path to demise
Falun Gong practitioner Bian Xuzhuang who came from Beijing witnessed the "April 25" Appeal. He said that today seven years ago, the Chinese Falun Gong practitioners collectively reported to the Chinese leaders about the Tianjin police's beating and arresting dozens of Falun Gong practitioners. The practitioners requested the release of practitioners, and to be given an environment for free exercise, and the right to publish Falun Gong books. Ten thousand Falun Gong practitioners exercised the right of citizens to peacefully appeal in Beijing.
Bian Xuzhuang said during the time, the Falun Gong practitioners were orderly. After the problems were properly resolved, they left quietly, taking away waste paper, and police officer's cigarette butts that littered the streets. But, the CCP's Jiang regime saw that there were so many people practicing Falun Gong, out of their severe jealousy, they framed Falun Gong and lied, saying that Falun Gong practitioners "besieged" Zhongnanhai. Triggered by this incident, the CCP launched a nation-wide persecution of Falun Gong beginning on July 20, 1999. They made a series of genocidal policies to attempt to eradicate Falun Gong. The policies included, "Defame their reputation, bankrupt them financially, destroy them physically," "Beating to death means nothing, and is counted as suicide," and "The body shall be directly cremated without investigating the person's identification."
Bian Xuzhuang said that the "April 25" incident was produced by the CCP. It turned over a hundred million people and their families against the CCP, and therefore the CCP and Jiang chose a path of demise.
A grand parade supporting the ten million people quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) attracted 15,000 Taiwanese people from different places in Taiwan to participate. An anti-persecution contingent composed of Falun Gong practitioners awakened the Taipei citizens by displaying photos depicting the horrible tortures used by the CCP to torture and abuse Falun Gong practitioners, and by reenacting the CCP harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. The vigorous drums played by the NTDTV Flags and Drums Troupe that led the Falun Gong procession made the parade procession even more impressive.
Parade procession supporting withdrawals from the CCP
In Tears Many Times, Very Touching
A Taipei citizen heard the news from her classmate and came especially to participate in the parade. She said she had shed tears many times and was moved by Falun Gong practitioners who spontaneously and voluntarily came for this parade. She thought Falun Gong practitioners have the right to step forward to condemn the vile CCP, and they also are very clear on the CCP's true nature, because they have been suffering persecution for seven years.
She said the CCP is most afraid of Falun Gong, because Falun Gong practitioners are fearless and selfless and take their personal interests lightly. They dare to speak out. Without the CCP, the world can exist peacefully.
The woman also walked the entire parade route, and helped distribute Falun Gong truth clarification materials.
Far Away from the Days of Kidney Dialysis
Practitioners from San Chong, Taipei County put on a show to present the scenes of Falun Gong practitioners who have been detained in forced labor camps and concentration camps in Mainland China, being enslaved and treated inhumanely. They dressed in dark prison clothes with their mouths sealed off with black cloth strips. They wanted to make the persecution vivid to people. One of them was Mr. Liao, who acted as a police officer. He said that he began kidney dialysis in 1998. Not until 2001 was he fortunate enough to read a flyer on a bus, about Falun Gong's free exercise instructions. He then started practicing Falun Gong. His health has now obviously improved and his mother also started to learn Falun Gong. She not only likes reading Zhuan Falun, she is also physically healthy and in high spirits, so her children do not need to worry about her.
Ms. Chen from Xin Village also once received kidney dialysis for eight years. She was often tired and needed bed rest. After practicing Falun Gong, her symptoms and discomfort have greatly improved. She said smilingly, "My presence today in the parade is the best verification." There were also older women in their 70s in this group of practitioners who acted as practitioners suffering persecution in the Mainland. It showed that the CCP's suppression of good people targets all ages.
Call to Conscience
Mrs. Zhang held a banner reading, "Don't allow the crimes to intensify while people wait passively." She is from Taiping, Taizhong. She started practicing Falun Gong together with her husband before the persecution began on July 20, 1999. Since then, she has never used her Health Insurance Card, and has never seen a doctor, because all her old illnesses disappeared. Their children are not practitioners but they tell everyone they meet that Falun Gong is great. In addition, she is 58 years old but looks as if she is in her 40s. She has experienced a renewed life from practicing Falun Gong. Therefore, she also went abroad to participate in truth clarification activities. She hopes to awaken more kind people so that more people will pay serious attention to the life-and-death situation of people in the Mainland.
Ms. Huang, who came back to Taiwan from America to participate in the parade, pointed out that the live organ harvesting is not at all a human act. She said that any parade is often geographically restricted, but activities condemning the CCP's atrocities and supporting the withdrawals from the CCP can transverse boundaries and races. When you are abroad and see people of all ethnicities stand together in the supporting procession in the parade, you will be very emotional. The CCP's crimes deserve unanimous condemnation.
Ms. Ni has been practicing Falun Gong for four years. The three members in her family were in the line-up of mourning Falun Gong practitioners who have died from persecution by the CCP. They just came back from Washington DC where they participated in protests against the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong, and they immediately came to join this parade after leaving the plane. She expressed that the biggest change after practicing Falun Gong for her is that she has become even more easy going and considerate of others. The family is in great harmony. Her sixth grade daughter attended Minghui School for three years. She can look within whenever confronted with problems and also can take care of herself.
Exercise Demonstration is in Good Order - Peaceful and Beautiful
A performing troupe composed of 160 practitioners from Taozhumiao brought the beauty of Falun Gong to people during the parade. Taiwan NEWS English Edition reporter Mr. Yi followed the parade procession for nearly two hours. He took many photos from different angles. Afterwards, he expressed to practitioners that he felt admiration and felt that the persecution was inconceivable. All the way through, he did not hear any music, nor orders, but practitioners were able to do the exercises in such an orderly fashion, peaceful and harmonious. He was indeed moved.
On April 19-20, 2006, Sydney citizens from several social groups held a two-day urgent appeal outside the Australian Prime Minister's Office. Concurrently, over a dozen citizens held a one-day hunger strike to call on Prime Minister Howard to demand that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime allow the team of investigators from the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG) to enter China and conduct a thorough and open investigation into all forced labor camps, prisons, mental hospitals and related facilities. They believe that every minute of delay might be at the cost of lives of more innocent Falun Gong practitioners.
On the morning of April 19, a member of the first team of investigators from the CIPFG, reporter Linda Xu from the Australian Sound of Hope radio station, had her visa application to China rejected. Mr. Wang, who was among the appealers, said that the rejection to Linda Xu's visa application was expected, as the CCP has no courage to allow the free and independent media to investigate this matter. The spokesperson for the CCP's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qin Gang, only ostensibly claimed to welcome overseas media, but the media it welcomed are all under its effective control, and were only allowed to enter the places where it has made full preparation. It knows that the CIPFG will immediately see through its deception.
Every Minute of Delay Allows the Murder to Continue
Susan and Carl, who are from The Epoch Times, also jointed the hunger strike appeal. They expressed that on March 9, 2006, The Epoch Times exposed the live organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in Sujiatun Concentration Camp, and hope that the international community can organize an investigation to look into the matter. According to various investigative information now collected, hospitals and organ transplantation centers in Mainland China are operating overtime to perform organ transplant surgeries. It is obvious that the CCP is hastily destroying the evidence of crimes. Therefore we urgently call upon Prime Minister Howard to demand that the CCP allow the team of investigators from the CIPFG to enter China to conduct a thorough investigation into all forced labor camps, mental hospitals and related facilities to help stop the killing and reveal the truth to the public. Every minute of delay may be at the cost of lives of more innocent Falun Gong practitioners.
Mr. Chen from the Service Center for Quitting the CCP was also among the hunger strikers. He expressed that the CCP abnormally remained silent for three weeks after the revelation of the Sujiatun Concentration Camp, and then invited the overseas media to go to investigate. It can be imagined that when a murderer invites others to come to his house to investigate, what he first wanted to do is to destroy all evidence of the crimes.
Support From the Australian People
An Australian man in his 60s passed by and saw the group of hunger strikers, and showed a thumbs-up and said that he took a flyer the day before and learned about the CCP's atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit. He said, "I cried. My heart is bleeding, and in pain. The CCP has done all possible evil deeds, I'm also clear that the CCP is doomed. A new China is coming. I believe it."
A middle-aged Westerner passed by and expressed to the practitioner who handed him a flyer for signature, "As soon as I learned about the CCP's live organ harvesting from the Falun Gong group, I got on the Internet to search for related information. I also signed my name on the Internet to call for an investigation from the international community. Additionally I wrote to Howard to ask him to pay attention to this appalling incident."
A young Australian woman learned about the truth and immediately asked for a bundle of flyers. She said she would give them to her colleagues and friends to let them know what is happening in China and how evil the CCP is, and let them sign the petition and mail to Prime Minister Howard.
Korean Falun Gong Condemns the CCP's Atrocities and Calls for Attention from the Media
On April 24, 2006, Korean Falun Gong practitioners held press conferences in front of agencies of the two largest newspapers - Korea Times and Korea Central Daily, condemning the CCP's atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, and calling for extensive attention from the media.

Chinese American Falun Gong practitioner Wang Wenyi openly called for "stopping the persecution of Falun Gong" in the White House on April 20 during Hu's visit to the US. The major media in Korea reported the news, which inspired great concern from the Korean society about the Falun Gong issues. But the media did not report on the motivation behind the brave act of this doctor of medicine: openly shouting cries for attention to the CCP's atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
Therefore, on April 24, Korean Falun Gong practitioners held press conferences outside the offices of the two largest newspapers in Korea--The Korea Times and The Korea Central Daily, while holding banners protesting the CCP's live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners, and displaying photos depicting tortures used to abuse Falun Gong practitioners in the CCP's labor camps. They wanted to expose the CCP's atrocities, condemn the CCP's barbaric acts of killing innocent people, and call on the Korean media to pay extensive attention to and help investigate the matter.
Director of "Korean Committee for Stopping the CCP from Committing Genocide," Cui Xizheng, revealed the evidence of the CCP's live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners who were locked up in Sujiatun death camp, and pointed out that the barbarity is extensively practiced in forced labor camps and concentration camps throughout China. He also revealed the brutal fact that more mass killing has been intensively carrying out recently in China. He urgently called on the Korean media to pay attention to it. He said that Korea is a democratic country, and when the atrocity of large-scale live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners is happening in China, Korea should not ignore it and do nothing.
The Persecution Continues and Grows Worse, Calling for Attention to the Refugee Problem
Days ago, after the Korean Minister of Law had a meeting with the CCP's Minister of Public Security, he made a decision to deport more than 30 Falun Gong refugees back to China. Regarding this issue, Falun Gong practitioner Xu Yongzhe expressed that the CCP has been carrying out the persecution of Falun Gong for nearly seven years, and has made genocidal policies in an attempt to eradicate Falun Gong. The policies include, "defame their reputation, bankrupt them financially, destroy them physically," and "beating [Falun Gong practitioners] to death is counted as suicide," and other merciless policies. From the recent revelation of the CCP's criminal acts of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, the extent of brutality and barbarity of the persecution is far beyond peoples' imaginations.
Xu Yongzhe hoped that Korea would take into consideration conscience and morality in handling the Falun Gong refugee problem, and take the responsibility of international morality and justice for democratic countries. He called on the Korean media to pay attention to the Falun Gong refugee problem, and show concern for these kind people who practice Falun Gong in the land of Korea.
Reporters and Passersby Stop and are Shocked by the Brutality of the Persecution
After listening to Falun Gong practitioners' solemn statement, seeing the photos depicting extremely cruel tortures, reporters and passersby were stunned and stopped to watch. Some reporters asked why the CCP persecutes Falun Gong so inhumanly and why! Practitioners answered their questions one by one. A reporter suggested that practitioners tell more people about the reason and facts of the persecution because it is inconceivable to all good people. After obtaining the practitioners' reply, he left satisfied.
It is reported that the CCP plans to speed up the pace of destroying the witnesses and material evidence of their crimes of harvesting organs from live Falun Gong practitioners before May 1, 2006, after these long-term organized crimes have been exposed to the public. In order to stop the CCP's slaughtering, German Falun Gong practitioners held a series of protests and urgent rescue activities in different places to strongly demand an end to the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong immediately, and demand a comprehensive investigation of hospitals, labor camps and prisons in mainland China.
Exposing the CCP's crimes of harvesting organs from live persons |
"(The CCP is) too barbaric" |
On April 22, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners came to Hamburg, the harbor city in northern Germany, to expose the CCP's barbaric acts of harvesting organs from live persons by means of a reenactment by real people, so as to raise people's awareness. In the drizzle, practitioners set up banners reading "Stop Killing Falun Gong Practitioners and Harvesting Organs," "Stop Persecuting Falun Gong," and "Comprehensively Investigate Labor Camps and Jails in China."
Through Falun Gong practitioners' long-term insistent efforts of truth clarification, people living in this European business trade center are extremely clear that, "Human rights can absolutely not be betrayed." A gentleman in his forties said to a practitioner, "I know, I read The Epoch Times all the time, and I am informed about what's happening."
A middle-aged woman with two children watched the reenactment demonstration with a look of surprise. When she was told that this is really happening every day in China, her eyes were full of tears. Seeing her appearance of being too sad to speak, practitioners gave her a leaflet and said: "You should learn the truth." She nodded and left ponderously.
The world's people are so eagerly expecting to learn the truth, practitioners are determined to strengthen their truth clarification efforts to let all kind people step forward to condemn the CCP's crimes and stop the persecution.
