Ms. Qiu Xiuzhen, a Falun Gong practitioner from Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, was arrested and detained by CCP (Chinese Communist Party) police on August 15, 2003. She was illegally sentenced to eight years in jail. Her husband, Gan Maoyong, was forced to become homeless to avoid persecution and he died in 2004. Sixty-year-old Ms. Qiu is currently being detained and persecuted in the Yangmahe Women's Prison in Jianyang City.

On the morning of August 15, 2003, policemen from the Dongzikou Police Station in Jinniu District and from the Public Security Sub-Bureau in the Jinniu District, Chengdu City knocked on the door of Ms. Qiu's house. Since the door did not open, they asked her neighbor to knock on the door for them. They told her neighbor that they came to inspect fire prevention devices in the house. When Ms. Qiu opened the door, they broke in. Ms. Qiu asked them what they wanted. They said they came to arrest her. Ms. Qiu then asked them to show her their arrest warrant. They pushed her down to the ground and gagged her mouth with dirty gloves.

Ms. Qiu struggled while the perpetrators viciously beat her. Her eyes and mouth became swollen. They damaged the bedroom door and pried open the closet. They took away her TV, computer, photocopier, disc-rewriting machine, cash and bank deposit slips. They then arrested Ms. Qiu and took her to the police station.

Ms. Qiu's family members went to the police station. Upon seeing Ms. Qiu's face disfigured, they questioned the director of the station as to why they beat her, but the director denied that she was beaten. Her family members then asked why her face was like this. The director then said, "Of course we should beat her." The same night, Ms. Qiu was sent to the custodial station in Chengdu City and was detained there.

Because Ms. Qiu was arrested and persecuted, her husband, Gan Maoyong, had to abandon their home to avoid arrest. In order to find him, the police harassed his relatives and friends. The police intimidated them and threatened them by telling them that "they will be reported on" unless they gave them information. It was not until after the Chinese New Year of 2004, when Mr. Gan was on the brink of death in the hospital, that his family members found out about his situation and went to see him. Several days later he passed away.

After Mr. Gan's death, his family members went to the court to ask about Ms. Qiu's case. The official in the court told them that Ms. Qiu was sentenced to eight years in jail. They questioned him about why the court did not notify Ms. Qiu's family that she was sentenced. The court claimed that Ms. Qiu was an adult and had her own thoughts and that she herself was not willing to let her family know.

The CCP officials sent Ms. Qiu to the Jianyan City, Yangmahe Women's Prison. Currently, she is being detained and persecuted there.

Since the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999, Falun Gong practitioner Cai Fuchen of Longjing City in Jilin Province has encountered various forms of persecution. On May 26, 2004, Cai was once again illegally arrested by police from the Yanji City Yilan Police Station. He is currently detained at Jilin Province Gongzhuling Prison. His wife was forced to become homeless to avoid being persecuted. His paralyzed father soon passed away, as he could not cope with the news about his son being brutally tortured. Cai's ten-year-old son was no longer able to receive his parent's love and caring and therefore lived in great hardship. He was deprived of his right to go to school.

Cai Fuchen, 41, was an excellent public servant at Longjing City Taxation Office of Jilin Province. In November 1999, Cai went to Beijing to tell the authorities about Falun Gong, but was arrested. He was later detained at Longjin City Detention Center for a month. Since then, Cai's work unit, the Longjing City Taxation Office, continued to employ him, but suspended his salary.

In March 2000, Cai was doing the exercises when he was kidnapped by policemen from the Longjing City Longmen Police Station. He was sentenced to two years of re-education through forced labor and was later detained at the Yanbian Forced Labor Camp. At the same time, Cai was fired by his work unit.

In February 2001, during the period of Cai's detention, the deputy secretary of Jilin Province Political and Legal Committee and the deputy director of the 610 Office, Hu Xiaoyan, visited Yanbian Forced Labor Camp. Cai and several other Falun Gong practitioners came forward and yelled "Falun Dafa is good." For this, the practitioners were locked in a small cell for one month.

After more than two years of persecution, in March 2002, Cai was released. After Cai returned home, the corrupt government officials still did not give up persecuting him. They tried various methods to persecute Cai's family. Personnel from Longjing City Political and Legal Committee, Longjing City Political and Legal Office, Longmen Police Station and the community affairs office constantly harassed Cai's family. They raided Cai's home and created trouble without restraint.

In October 2002, the Longjing City Political and Legal Committee ordered Longmen Police Station to send Geng Liquan and several policemen to arrest Cai and send him to the brainwashing session at the travel agency at Longjing City Police Station. Cai and several other practitioners went on hunger strike to appeal against the persecution. After seven days of hunger strike, the police from Longjing City Political and Legal Office transferred Cai and other practitioners to the Longjing City Detention Center. Cai was released one month later.

On May 26, 2004, Cai and several other Falun Gong practitioners were arrested at a truth clarification materials site by the Yanji City Yilan Police Station. On the night of his arrest, Cai's legs were beaten, resulting in severe injury that left him unable to walk.

In August 2005, Cai was illegally sentenced to ten years in prison by Jilin Province Yanji City Court after one year and three months of illegal detention. He was then immediately transferred to the Gongzhuling City Prison. Cai is currently going through brutal and inhumane tortures.

It is reported that several criminals in Gongzhuling Prison monitor Cai Fuchen for days and nights. Cai is even monitored when he uses the toilet. The criminals also forbid him from contacting others. They force Cai to work in the day, but Cai refuses to cooperate and does not participate in forced labor work. So the criminals forcibly carry him to the work field. Cai has now been persecuted to the point that he is very weak. He looks terribly deformed, yet the prison guards continue to carry out the brutal persecution.

In late 2005, Cai's wife Zhang Yanhong was forced to become homeless. Cai's young son had to be taken care of by relatives. In order to capture Zhang Yanhong, Longjing City's police did not even spare the child from persecution. They followed him to and from school every day. The child could not cope with such monitoring and psychological shock and stopped going to school. Cai's son was deprived of his right to study and was no longer able to be cared for by his parents.

In October 2004, Cai's paralyzed father was informed that his son had been tortured to the verge of death by Yanji City Detention Center. The father managed to make his way to Yanbian City Appealing Office and requested the release of his son. But his request was unreasonably rejected. Not only was the old man not able to see his son, he was sent to Longjing City Police Station by local evildoers. In 2005, Cai's father could not handle such shock any longer and passed away. Even at his last moments, he was not able to see his son again.

In August 2005, practitioners in Yanji City, Jilin Province held an experience sharing conference. Many photos were taken during the conference. The police have held these photos. Yanji National Security Group agents have been following and monitoring those photographed practitioners. At 9:00 a.m. on February 28, 2006, police started a large-scale arrest.

They began at the residence of Ms. Dong Guizhi and Ms. Wen Yingjia (alias Xiao Deng). When Xiao Deng went downstairs, two police officers grabbed her. Xiao Deng tried to resist the illegal arrest but was forcefully pressed on the ground and carried to a vehicle. Two police cars were at the arrest site; the officers in them were specially dispatched to follow and arrest people. One of the vehicles bore the Jilin Province license number H-15959. The other one was an unmarked black car. The agents took the apartment key from Xiao Deng's pocket and searched the apartment. Ms. Dong Guizhi, who was in the apartment, was arrested as well. The police confiscated the following items: two PCs, one old laptop computer, three Epson 210 ink printers, at least five laser printers, two 1-to-5 CD copiers, one hard disk, at least four MP3 players, nearly 10,000 yuan in cash, and some other devices and personal belongings.

Ms. Liu Zhenxi was arrested at around 9:00 a.m. that day near the Yanji City Hygiene School. The police also searched the Falun Gong materials distributing site she worked for. There were three PCs, five laser printers, one Epson 210 ink printer, and some other devices and materials at that site. The following practitioners were also arrested: Ms. Song Guoru, Mr. Sun Zelin, Ms. Jin Dezhu, Ms. An Yingji, Mr. Huang Wenxue and Ms. Wang Dianrong.

One of the police who arrested Xiao Deng was the deputy from the Yanji National Security Group, Xu Guangzhe. Practitioner Xiao Deng was taken to the National Security Group, located on the 8^th floor at the Yanji Police Department building. Xiao Deng refused to identify herself (due to the persecution policy of implicating family members, friends, and work units, practitioners often refuse to give their names). They started interrogation under torture at 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. Four police officers handcuffed Xiao Deng with her arms behind her back and tried to force her to kneel down. When Xiao Deng refused to do so, they held her four limbs and pushed her on the ground. They kept slapping her face and viciously beat her throat, making her throat swell and until she was unable to speak. When they still didn't get what they wanted, they changed to another torture. They handcuffed her arms in front of her and put her in shackles. Xiao Deng was forced to sit handcuffed on the ground and hold her knees. They inserted a thick stick behind her knees and suspended the stick between two desks. Xiao Deng was suspended from the stick with her head down. They beat Xiao Deng's back with a stick and beat her temples with books. This torture lasted until March 2. Division Deputy Wu Shunri and Xiao Bin were among the police involved in the interrogation and torture.

This persecution has brought huge damage to Yanji Falun Gong practitioners. According to what we have learned, several Falun Gong materials distributing sites have been damaged. The details are still being investigated. We hope that Yanji practitioners will quickly form one body again in order to do what we should do as Falun Gong practitioners.

I had two physical examinations while detained at a labor camp at the beginning of 2001. During the second examination I assumed that all Falun Gong practitioners at the camp would also have physical examinations. However, when I arrived at the clinic, which was on the first floor, only four young practitioners were there and our blood was drawn simply to check our livers.

I also assumed that we were at this clinic due to being illness free. I thought that the camp doctors would find nothing wrong with our bodies, and this would prove how great Falun Gong is. Meanwhile, I would use the results to clarify the truth. A few days later, I was told to go through another physical examination. At first, I thought maybe there was some illness, but I immediately denied this thought, as I knew Falun Gong practitioners did not get illnesses.

However, this time I was handcuffed and taken alone in a police vehicle by guard Zhou and other guards to Guangzhou City Military Region Hospital in Guangdong Province. When the police vehicle arrived at the hospital, the guards were afraid that people might see their actions, so they covered my handcuffs with cloth. It appeared as if they were assisting me to walk, when in fact they were kidnapping me. Many patients had lined up to see the experts at the hospital. I was forced to sit while being watched by the guards. One of the guards directly entered a specialist's room and later came out. Then I was taken into the room without waiting in line. My liver, gallbladder, and kidney were x-rayed. Without knowing the medical results, I was taken back to the camp. Initially, I only thought that the evil wanted to attack Falun Gong by using the excuse of a practitioner being sick so they could coerce other practitioners to "transform." After this incident passed, I didn't pay too much attention to it.

A few days later, when a warden tried to brainwash me one on one, I had a long talk with him. I told him how much benefit I had gotten since practicing Falun Gong. He listened without interrupting and opposing me. I felt he still had some sympathy when he said: "I know you practitioners are good people, but persecuting Falun Gong is a national law, and we work for the state; we have no choice. The Communist Party has many means to persecute people. I have seen too many (ways of persecuting people). Many criminals with heavy sentences or death sentences all assist with the persecution. The camp has been given certain numbers by the state to allow the camp to torture people to death. Killing a person is even less important than killing a dog! If you continuously persist in your practice of Falun Gong, the result will not be good. You should instead strive to go home earlier." With that, the warden sighed.

I was then taken to the workshop. At one point I walked onto the wrong path because I did not understand Falun Gong well enough, but I immediately rectified myself and walked back onto the righteous path. I never saw that warden again.

Today, as I recall my physical examinations when I was in the labor camp, I always felt that there was some unspeakable purpose in those examinations. I don't know for sure whether they had something to do with harvesting organs from living practitioners or not, but I am still writing down my experience. In the meantime, I hope those practitioners who have had similar experiences will also share them so that we can put to an end to the crimes being committed during the persecution of Falun Gong.

Mr. Sun Yu Missing from Dalian City, Liaoning Province

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Sun Yu is 27 years old. He was arrested by local policemen when he was passing out truth-clarifying materials on the campus of Dalian City Fishery Institute five to six years ago. His family has never heard from him since.

Mr. Zhang Baoshu Missing after Detained in Dabei Prison in 2002

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Baoshu is in his 50s, and lived in Panjin City, Liaoning Province. He was sentenced to four years of prison in 2002, and was locked in Dabei Prison, located in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. He is missing currently.

Seeking Fellow Practitioner Cai Jun from Wuhan City

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Cai Jun is in his 30s, and used to practice the exercises at the practice site of Qiaokou District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. He lost contact with fellow practitioners ever since he went to Beijing to appeal in 1999.

Mr. Zhu Limin Missing after being Sentenced in 2000

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhu Limin is in his 30-40s He lived in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, and was an employee of the Shuguang Oil Collecting Plant of Liaohe Petroleum Field, Liaoning Province. He was sentenced to four years in prison in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, and was detained in Hangzhou City, but he has been missing ever since.

Ms. Wei Xiaoping Missing Since One Year Ago

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wei Xiaoping from Suizhou City, Hubei Province is 30 years old, and has had to leave home to avoid being arrested since 2001. She was arrested between March and April in 2005 in Hunan Province, but no one knows her whereabouts, including her husband and daughter.

Mr. Bai Jinliang Missing for More Than Six Years

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Bai Jiliang is 42 years old, and lived in Bayan County Flax Mill Family Housing, Heilongjiang Province. He went to Beijing to appeal in July 2000 and he jumped off a train when he was being arrested. No one knows his whereabouts. His family's phone number is 86-451-57501688.

1. [Gansu Province] The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) plans to build a base in Gansu, scheduled for completion by October 2006, which is to be used for "transforming" Falun Gong practitioners.

2. [Panzhihua, Sichuan Province] Looking for Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Luo Xiumei

Ms. Luo Xiumei, a resident of Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province, has been besieged many times throughout the persecution. On August 13, 2001, she was illegally sentenced to 4 years in prison. Later, she was sent to the Jianyang Provincial Women's Prison. She was supposed be released from prison on August 13, 2005, but she didn't return home and her whereabouts remain unknown.

Between 1:00 and 2:00 pm on April 1, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Zheng Huachun and Ms. Cui Xiaoping, from Taikang County, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, were arrested at different times by the police in Tiefeng District, Qiqiha'er City. First, they arrested Ms. Zheng Huachun and searched her house illegally. Later, they went to Cui Xiaoping's place (she was operating a hair salon) and arrested her. They searched her house and scattered her hair cutting equipment all over the floor. The room was left in a shambles. On April 5, agents in Longsha Sub-bureau, Tiefeng District, Qiqiha'er City asked Ms. Cui's relatives to send some clothing for her. It is acknowledged that these Falun Gong practitioners were detained in the 1st Detention Center of Qiqihr city.

Ms. Yu Shourong, a Falun Gong practitioner in Fushun city, was sentenced to three years in prison at the age of 50. She was sent to Masanjia Labor Camp, Shenyang, where she suffered maltreatment. Three years later her sentence was extended by one month. After that, the police in Masanjia didn't release her, instead, they transferred her to the Committee of Politics and Law of Fushun Municipal government, who immediately sent Ms. Yu to the brainwashing facility in Luotai Village, Fushun for more suffering. She is still being held in the brainwashing facility with eight other Falun Gong practitioners. Yu's husband died. She has one son at home.

5. [Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners Yin Anbang, Yang Maohua Imprisoned

Falun Gong practitioner and teacher from Harbin, Mr. Yin Anbang, was illegally sentenced to four years in prison. He is being held in Hulan Prison.

Another Falun Gong practitioner from Harbin University of Technology, Ms. Yang Maohua, was sentenced to three years in prison. She is imprisoned in Harbin Women's Prison.

On March 2, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners from Jilin, Wang Jianguo and Ms. Zhao Qiumei (a couple) were arrested by police from the Nanjing police station, Chuanying District after the police searched the couple's house. On March 31, 2006, Ms. Zhao was sent to Hei Zuizi Labor Camp for one year. Now she is being held in Lochus #5. Mr. Wang Jianguo is still being detained at the No. 1 detention house of Jilin City.

Falun Gong practitioners in Jiamusi, Heilongjiang, Mr. Kang Ai'min, Ms. Kang Aiqin, and Ms. Tong Li were arrested in Haweisi, Qiaonan, Jiamusi City while telling people the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were sentenced to one year in a labor camp.

Falun Gong practitioner, Ms. An, approximately 60 years old, from Tiefeng District, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, was arrested by four officers from the Qiqihar Police Sub-bureau and the Beijing Police Bureau on the afternoon of March 31, 2006. She is being detained in Tiefeng Police Station, Qiqihar City.

We have recently learned that Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yang Hailin, from Handan, was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment in a labor camp. He is still being persecuted in the Handan Labor Camp. The police of Zhonghua police station returned his cell phone, but have yet to return his computer.

On the morning of April 5, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Zhang Xiuhua and Ms. Liu Xiuhua were illegally arrested by the employees of Majiagou Street Office (Dapeng, male, 40 years old and three female employees, one of them called Yang, 60 years old) and police officer Si Guozhen, from the Majiagou police station. They were detained in the police station and released that night.

Recently, Shijiazhuang police officers and 610 staff had a meeting to plan further persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by assigning "tasks" to local police stations, community committees, fire brigades, and other agencies. They plan to spend three months mainly searching the homes of renters and people who have recently moved, targeting Falun Gong practitioners. Their aim is to search out Falun Gong materials and the sites for producing such materials. Every community committee is expected to keep a record of Falun Gong practitioners and their telephone numbers.

On April 1 and 2, 2006, many Falun Gong practitioners in Cangzhou, Hebei Province, were arrested. Two of them were managed to escape. Mrs. Wang Jiasheng and Liu Yi were sent to Cangzhou Police Bureau and were interrogated under extreme duress. On the night of April 5, police officers carried the Falun Gong practitioners to the 1st Detention Center.

Ms. Liu Zaiyun and Ms. Chen Lanying were illegally detained in the 2nd Detention Center. All four practitioners are on a hunger strike.

Recently, Yantai Municipal government in Shandong province, in collusion with "Yantai Municipal Office of Warning, Educating and Fighting against [slanderous term omitted]", distributed newspapers and small pamphlets to defame Falun Gong and deceive people with the lies.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Tao, who lives in Baiyin City, Gansu Province, was imprisoned in Sanshui Labor Camp in Guangdong Province for two years in 2004. Because he refused to write the "four statements", he was sent to Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center in Lanzhou, Gansu Province from Sanshui Labor Camp, where he continues to be detained illegally.

At 8:40 a.m. on April 4, 2006, the Yongcang County Court illegally tried Falun Gong practitioners. They had already made a final judgment to sentence Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lei Zhanxiang to eight years in prison.

Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Ou Quanbin (employee of Nanchong Olice Group, also called Silk City, 70 years old), Mr. Li Huabin (Jianyang resident), Mr. Zhu Xuezhi (working at the Chengdu Hydraulic Design Institute), and Mr. Liu Xueming (resident of Puxing town, Xinjin) are imprisoned at the 2nd Hospital of Wu Maping Prison, Muchuan County, Leshan. Mr. Liu Xueming has symptoms of high blood pressure. The other three have symptoms of heart disease. The three practitioners were supposed to "be released because of illness;" however, they were not released because they would not renounce their practice and they are still in detention.

Mr. Li Dabo, about 45 years old, used to be a miner in Caozhuang, Mengyin County, Shandong Province. After the enterprise went bankrupt, he started his own business associated with the coal industry. On March 31, 2006, he went on a business trip to Jining City, Shangdong Province. He has not been heard from since.

Mr. Li Dabo took Falun Gong teachings and truth-clarifying materials with him on his trip to Jining. On the second day, his cell phone went unanswered. On the third day, his cell phone had been turned off. He was supposed return home on the second day. Although five days have passed, he still hasn't called anyone or returned home.

On April 4, first grade students at the 2nd Primary School, Dongning County were registered with the Young Pioneers in Heilongjiang Province. An old man who calls himself Grandpa Shi, is still spreading the CCP's propaganda about the staged Tiananmen Square "Self-Immolation" incident. He continues to infuse the children with lies.
