Mr. Wang Jiangguo and his wife, Ms. Zhao Qiumei, from Jilin City were arrested on March 2, 2006, by Nanjing Police Station officers led by Tan Xinqiang. Ms. Zhao Qiumei was later sentenced to one year of forced labor. Mr. Wang Jiangguo was tortured to death on April 10 at the Jilin City Detention Center after he was savagely force-fed and tortured in an attempt to extort a confession from him. He was 30 years old when he was tortured to death. On April 13, a memorial service was planned in his home, where people could come to express their condolences.

Tortured Brutally to Death at the Detention Center within 40 Days: Justice Will Not Tolerate Persecution for Being a Good Person

After the bier was set up, Mr. Wang's family, friends and relatives, neighbors and villagers came to offer their condolences. Most of the villagers shed tears and said: "It is a huge injustice for this young man to die."

On the morning on April 28, the police of the Shahezi Police Substation went to Mr. Wang Jiangguo's uncle's home and said, "Today, we will solve Mr. Wang Jiangguo's problem." As a result, the Shahezi Police Substation took three members of Mr. Wang Jiangguo's family to the Jilin City Detention Center. This time was different from the previous times. They took his family to a big meeting hall. Hardly had they entered the hall when they saw a poster announcing "the Meeting Regarding the Suicide Incident." In total, 18 people from Jilin City Chuanyin District Procuratorate, the Nanjing Police Substation, the Jilin City Detention Center, and the Jilin City 610 Office were already there. Also they had their cameras ready.

A Mr. Li, who claimed to be from the Jilin National Security Team and the head of the 610 Office, read to Mr. Wang Jiangguo's family a "Statement about Mr. Wang Jiangguo Being Jailed at the Jilin City Detention Center." They also threatened Mr. Wang's family. They concluded by telling the family that, first, the family had to have Mr. Wang Jiangguo's body cremated within one day; second, the memorial pavilion had to be taken down on April 29; and third, Mr. Wang Jiangguo's death had nothing to do with the police department, because he had committed suicide.

Mr. Wang Jiangguo's family resisted this with righteous thoughts, saying, "If you do not solve the problem, we will appeal the case one level after another. We will appeal from the local level to the central government. This is not the end of the matter." The authorities felt guilty and quickly ended the meeting.

Some policemen also said in anger, "In the future, don't come to see us about these matters. We thought we were supposed to really solve the problem. It is a real shame. You as the family should file a lawsuit against them [the other policemen]."

Laixi City's 2nd People's Hospital of Shandong Province actively persecutes Falun Gong practitioners and brutally force-feeds practitioners who are hunger striking to protest the persecution. The hospital and the Laixi police have cooperated with each other to do this over and over again. They took four practitioners to a mental hospital for further persecution and injected them with drugs that damage the central nervous system.

Please find below information we have gathered to provide evidence of the persecution.

Laixi City's 2nd People's Hospital is located at No. 8 West Weihai Road, Laixi City, Shandong Province. It is a centralized hospital, with the compound and buildings covering 13,000 square meters. The buildings sit on 22,500 square meters.

In the 1980s and early 1990s, Laixi City's 2ndPeople's Hospital was the Laixi Mental Hospital, and it was a small, little-known hospital. After it became profitable, it was converted to a centralized hospital. But it could never compare to the Laixi City County Level People's Hospital, which used to be a county hospital and which now employs many people, although there are not many patients.

Since the CCP began to persecute Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Laixi City's 2ndPeople's Hospital has adhered diligently to the CCP's orders in its persecution of Falun Gong and Falun Gong practitioners. Local practitioners have been illegally arrested and detained in the hospital, brainwashing center (the former Party school), and detention center (Laixi Prison), where they have suffered forced brainwashing. Practitioners' have not cooperated and have protested their detention and persecution by hunger striking. The police have sent these practitioners to the No. 2 People's Hospital for force-feeding.

Laixi City's 2nd People's Hospital has participated in persecuting Falun Gong and practitioners. It cooperates with the Laixi police and is responsible for transferring four practitioners to the mental hospital for further persecution. They injected drugs that damage the central nervous system into healthy practitioners. They turned healthy people into numb patients that suffer mentally and physically. Practitioners have been detained there as often as seven to eight times, with the longest time over half a year.

After the exposure of the organ harvesting from live practitioners at Sujiatun Concentration Camp, WOIPFG launched a thorough investigation, looking at those they believed to be involved in killing Falun Gong practitioners. Many Chinese who still have a conscience have revealed the names and locations of the prisons, forced labor camps, and hospitals that have performed organ harvesting on live Falun Gong practitioners throughout China.

It was discovered recently that Laixi City's 2nd People's Hospital has a kidney transplant center. The Laixi Kidney Transplant Center is located in the surgical unit of the Laixi City's 2nd People's Hospital. Although it is a secondary hospital, it has reached the standard required for transplants. Over the past three years, it has brought in Liu Dongfu, an expert from Yuhuangding Hospital of Yantai, Shandong Province, to perform 13 kidney transplants.

Liu Dongfu is from Qixia, Yantai, Shandong Province, and used to work in a hospital in Qixia before he transferred to Yuhuangding Hospital in Yantai. According to someone who knows the inside story, expert Liu Dongfu has a high volume of kidneys at his disposal. He performed 113 kidney transplants in 2004 and 150 in 2005, at a cost of 50,000 to 60,000 yuan. The kidney alone costs each patient 30,000 yuan.

A Japanese person had a kidney transplant at the center. Another Japanese, over 80-years-old, could not have a kidney transplant because his heart disease relapsed after his arrival. They implanted a pacemaker instead and he returned to Japan. Three to four transplants were performed this year.

Recently, there was a Korean that needed blood tests before the surgery, so that a matching organ could be found. They found a kidney donor within a week. Sometimes it only takes one day to find a donor, though there are times when it might take one or two months. The kidney donors are from Harbin, Nanjing, and Shandong Linyi. Staff from that hospital will pick up the kidneys at the airport around midnight and operate shortly after. The staff claimed they must perform as many operations as possible before July 1, 2006, because after July 1, only accredited hospitals can perform the operation.

Laixi City's 2nd People's Hospital also claims, "Our Kidney Transplant Center is the only medical facility in that city that performs organ transplants. Since the establishment of the center, more than 10 patients suffering toxic conditions from kidney diseases have had transplants, with the eldest 73 years old and the youngest 26. There are now four doctors in charge and three directors that are also doctors. We have worked with kidney experts inside and outside of China. We have sent people to Beijing, Jinan, and other medical institutes to advance their knowledge many times. The Center works with kidney patients and those suffering uremia. We promise to perform miracles."

A family member asked a kidney transplant physician, "How long does it take to transplant a kidney for a uremia patient?" The doctor said that they needed one week. The family member then questioned whether they could guarantee the health of the patient, and the doctor assured them that the patient would be healthy. The family asked the origin of the kidney, and the doctor said it was from Shandong, Linyi and the northeast, but did not provide any further information.

Laixi City's 2nd People's Hospital

On March 14, 2006, relatives and friends of Falun Gong practitioner Zhu Sufang in Wenjing Township, Xinjin County, Chengdu City, Sichuan, went to her home to pay a visit to her mother who was ill. On that day at approximately three o'clock, Wenjing local police department and Xinjin police dispatched about 18 personnel in five police vehicles to surround Zhu Sufang's home. One of the police officers even aimed a gun at the ten Falun Gong practitioners who were in the living room chatting about their daily activities. All the practitioners were then dragged into the police vehicles one by one and taken to Wenjing local police department and imprisoned there.

The ten practitioners were all forced to stand up from 9:00 p.m. until dawn the next morning. The police also drew circles on the ground around them and prohibited them from stepping out of the circles even half a step. Five practitioners were slapped by policemen of the Wenjing local police department and four practitioners were handcuffed and hung up by the handcuffs. Among the Falun Gong practitioners who were beaten or hung up, the eldest one is 68 years old. The practitioners' homes were also ransacked and their Falun Gong books and other belongings were confiscated. On March 15, they were officially detained.

Zhu Sufang and three other practitioners were unlawfully held in custody for 13 days; all the others were released separately. The detained practitioners were not permitted to bring in their daily necessities and had to buy all their daily necessities from the house of detention (the house of detention has been profiting by arbitrarily hiking prices ever since 1999.)

Ms. Dong Baofeng and Ms. Yu Shufen are both elderly Falun Gong practitioners from Jiayuguan City, Gansu Province. They were arrested in 2005 and 2006 respectively. Their homes were raided and they were illegally detained. Ms. Dong Baofeng has been secretly sentenced to three years in jail and Ms. Yu Shufen has been detained for nearly a month.

Ms. Dong Baofeng is 64 years old. She was followed and tracked by agents from the 610 Office while she was handing out truth clarifying materials on the evening of December 27, 2005. A group of policemen arrested her. They later on broke into her home and conducted a thorough search until the early hours of the next day. She was detained in the Custodial Station for nearly four months, until recently, when she was secretly sentenced to three years in prison.

In detention, Ms. Dong was brutally beaten and tortured many times. The authorities wouldn't allow her family members to visit her. In April 2004 she was arrested and detained for 15 days, and her home was raided by 610 Office agents.

Ms Yu Shufen is 68 years old. On the evening of March 25, 2006, while she was distributing truth-clarifying materials, 610 Office personnel followed her and arrested her. They broke into her home in the middle of the night and searched the house frantically. The officials claimed that someone had reported her.

Ms. Yu has been arrested, detained and fined, and her home has been raided many times by the members of the 610 Office. This time the perpetrators escalated the persecution against her for nearly a month and wouldn't allow anybody, including her family members, to visit her. They threatened her lawyer to prevent him from taking her case, so none of the local lawyers dared to defend her.

Ms. Guo Junjuan, 34 years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Beihai City, Guangxi Province. She went to the provincial government to appeal for Falun Gong with her little son after the persecution started on July 20, 1999. Since then, she was unreasonably harassed by local officials from the State Security Department, the Joint Security Unit, local police station and the government and residential committee. She was arrested under false criminal charges in 2001. The local authorities extorted her family members. She became ill after she was released and died during the Chinese New Year in 2003.

1. [Hebei Province] The Hehuakeng Forced Labor Camp of Tangshan City Drew Blood from Falun Gong Practitioners Twice in 2003

In 2003, the Hehuakeng Forced Labor Camp of Tangsha City in Hebei Province drew blood twice from illegally detained Falun Gong practitioners. From an artery of each practitioner's arm, they drew two finger-sized tubes of blood samples, which were then tagged and coded. When it came to those practitioners who refused to have blood drawn, the guards applied violent force to draw their blood. Apparently, some individuals from Hebei Province came to request that the blood be drawn. At that time, practitioner Mr. Dang Aimin was already extremely weak and he was at his last breath due to torture. He refused to have blood drawn. However, guards and five or six criminals applied violent force to draw his blood. Immediately after he had his blood drawn, Mr. Dang Aimin went into a seizure and he stopped breathing. At that time, Falun Gong practitioners did not understand why they were forced to have blood drawn. After the recent news of the Sujiatun incident was exposed, practitioners then realized the purpose of drawing blood.

Between March and April of 2005, the Baoding Forced Labor Camp drew blood from all illegally held Falun Gong practitioners and regular criminals under the pretense of physical examination. The blood samples were coded and possibly related to the exposed evil practice of taking organs from the still-alive bodies of practitioners, as has been exposed in the Sujiatun incident.

Practitioner Ms. Jiang Shiling from Jinan City was arrested by police from the Lixia District 610 Office because of an incident related to truth-clarification materials. Her home was ransacked. Recently, she was transferred to and tortured in the Liuchangshan Brainwashing Center.

At about 3:00 p.m. on the afternoon of April 8, practitioner Mr. Li Xinjian was followed by plainclothes police while he was clarifying the truth in the Fangzi District. He was arrested and taken to the Weifang City Detention Center. On April 10, police from the Kuiwen District were led by the District CCP Committee Chair Wang Honggang (male) to break into and ransack Mr. Li Xinjian's home. Between 2001 and 2002, Mr. Li Xinjian was illegally detained in the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp, where he suffered brutal and inhumane torture.

Practitioner Ms. Qiao Shuzhen from Lishu County in Jilin Province was followed and later arrested by four police officers from the Siping City Police Department in the Beiqiaotou District of Siping City, at about 8:00 p.m. on April 17, 2006. The officers' license plate number is: JiC00656. Mr. Qiao's current whereabouts is unknown.

On the morning of March 10, 2006, practitioner Ms. Kong Liwei from Dandong City in Liaoning Province was distributing truth-clarification materials to two people on her way to work. Consequently, she was taken by these two people to the Huayuan Police Station. A police officer punched Ms. Kong in the head several times and later took Ms. Kong to the Badao Police Station. The police officer in charge was Liu Zuoxin (male), who took Ms. Kong to her workplace (the Dandong City Watch Company) and confiscated several copies of Falun Gong materials. He also forcibly ransacked her home, where he confiscated some Falun Gong books, copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and truth-clarification materials.

Ms. Kong is currently being illegally held in the Baifang Detention Center of Dandong City. Ms. Kong's parents are now taking care of her two young children, ages five and three.

Recently, another male Falun Gong practitioner was reported and subsequently arrested for clarifying the truth in a rental place in the Wulongbei District of Dandong City. Police confiscated a large amount of truth-clarification materials and CDs.

Practitioner Ms. Wang Cuixian from Wenlin Town was arrested by Renshou County Police in mid-April while she was clarifying the truth on the street.

Practitioners Mr. Zhang Chuanli and Mr. Wang Hai are currently on a hunger strike to protest the persecution in Mudanjiang Prison.

On April 11, 2006, the Director of the Gongzhuling City Police Department of Jilin Province, Wang Zhiqing (male), instructed several police officers from the National Security Group to go to practitioner Ms. Li Xiufeng's house in the Yihe Village of Taojia Township to arrest Ms. Li. Fortunately, Ms. Li was not at home. Several police officers searched the courtyard of her house and waited for about half an hour before they drove away.

On the evening of December 21, 2005, practitioner Mr. Liu Jinmin was arrested by two police officers, with the surnames Liu and Gao, both from the Political Section of the Fusong County Police Department of Jilin Province. They took her to the Political Section. The following day, Mr. Liu was taken to the Fusong County Detention Center. Later, at 4:30 a.m. on March 10, 2006, Mr. Liu was taken by police from the Fusong County Detention Center to the 1st Group of the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp of Changchun City.

Practitioner Ms. Zhao Jing from Weifang City in Shandong Province, now residing in the Zichuan District of Zibo City, was arrested by police from the Huantai County Police Department of Zibo City on the afternoon of April 19. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

Practitioner Ms. Cao Baoyu suffered from multiple illnesses prior to practicing Falun Gong. Although she practiced many types of Qigong and martial arts, sought medical help and took medicine, she found nothing to be effective. When she learned Falun Gong in 1993, all of her illnesses suddenly disappeared. Her personal experiences helped her to strengthen her faith in Falun Gong. She also introduced Falun Gong to her family members and many others.

On July 18, 1999, on her way to work in the Yang Village, she was illegally arrested by police from the Yang Village Police Department, and then illegally sentenced to four years of imprisonment by the Tianjin City Police Department, under the charge of "Gathering the Public to Disrupt Social Order." She suffered inhumane torture and was also dismissed by her workplace. When she completed the sentence, she had become very sick. The Tianjin City Prison notified the Langfang City 610 Office not to release her under the pretense of being "not yet transformed." On her way home, she was forcibly taken to the brainwashing center. Under the strong request of her family members, she was taken to the hospital for physical examination. She was diagnosed as having "formic acid poisoning," also called a "death sore." At that time, the sore had a surface area diameter of 10 centimeters and was deep enough to see the bone. Doctors said that there was no cure for it, and that there was no guarantee her life could be saved, even if several hundred thousand of yuan were spent. Upon hearing this, the Langfang City 610 Office was afraid of taking responsibility and had to release her.

After Ms. Cao Baoyu returned home, she diligently studied the Fa and practiced the Falun Gong exercises. She almost recovered. In the Lunar New Year of 2006, she was again illegally arrested while she was clarifying the truth to the local government officials. One week later, she was released. Even though Ms. Cao's physical body was already very weak, the Langfang City Police Department, the Guangyang District Police Department and the National Security Group sent the Director of the National Security Group to lead the Beiwang Township Police Station Chief and six other police officers to climb over the wall of her home on the morning of February 18, 2006, and forcibly take her to the brainwashing center to be tortured. Her family members were not notified regarding her whereabouts. Later she was arrested by the Langfang City Procuratorate and the Langfang City Police Department, under the charge of "Disrupting Social Order" and is now being tortured. Her family members still do not know where she is being held.

According to reliable information, practitioner Ms. Zhang Bangyu (nearly fifty years old), from Aishanqian Village, Anti Town, Yi'nan County of Linyi City, was illegally arrested while she was distributing truth-clarification materials in Xingwang Village. She was taken to the Anti Town Police Station. Later her home was ransacked, and several police cars were used. The location where she is being illegally held is not known.

Practitioner Ms. Bai Li from Hexi District of Tianjin City was illegally sentenced to three years of imprisonment in the first trial at the Hexi District Court. Ms. Baili rejected the sentence and has appealed. She will soon return to court.

The above ten practitioners were illegally arrested and sentenced in 2002 or 2005, and continue to be held.

On the evening of March 24, 2006, twenty-one practitioners from Huaiyang County in Henan Province were illegally arrested. Four practitioners have since been released, while seventeen practitioners, due to the direct involvement of the local 610 Office, are still being illegally held and abused in the Huaiyang County Detention Center.

At around 5:00 a.m. on April 21, four or five police officers from the Nancun Town Police Station, without following legal procedure, climbed over the wall and attempted to arrest Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wu Bingzhen. Mr. Wu negated the arrest with righteous thoughts and walked away from the harassment, went onto the rooftop, and shouted loudly to expose the illegal acts of the police officers. Upon hearing this, his neighbors and family members walked out and said that the police officers were violating the law by breaking into private housings, and that their behavior was like that of gangsters. With the righteous support of fellow practitioners and the objections of neighbors and friends, the police officers' attempt to arrest him did not succeed.

On April 21, 2006, at around noon, practitioner Mr. Hua Zhikai from the High Technology School of Qinhuangdao City was illegally arrested and his home was ransacked. Police confiscated a photo of the Teacher of Falun Gong as well as Falun Gong books.

Recently, the 610 Office of Jinan City has printed propaganda pictures that defame Falun Gong. The pictures have been posted in some schools and also on the propaganda posting boards under the title of the so-called "Worship Science."

Recently, police in Shulan City have sent agents to illegally follow practitioner Mr. Bian Lingyun and have severely affected his daily life. The police are also trying to follow other practitioners in Shulan City and are thereby disrupting their daily lives.

Around April 19, police from Shulan City went to practitioner Mr. Xiao Yao's workplace. They harassed him and forcibly ransacked his home, forcing him to leave home in order to avoid being arrested.

Around April 19, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Xiao Liu went to ship products to the villages, but was forcibly taken away by police. His whereabouts are unknown.

On the morning of April 21, practitioners Mr. Wang Jianhui and Mr. Liu Yudong from Luquan City in Hebei Province were illegally arrested.

On the afternoon of April 14, 2006, practitioner Mr. Chen Changyuan from Chengdu City was clarifying the truth on the train, on his business trip back to Chengdu City from Jiangyou City. He was reported by people who do not know the truth and therefore was arrested by police on the train. He is currently being held in the Baijia Town Railroad Detention Center of Shuangliu County in Chengdu City.

On the morning of April 10, practitioner Ms. Xiong Xiulian from Huanggang City in Hubei Province was again illegally arrested while she was teaching at the Baota Elementary School. She was taken to and held in the Hubei Province Brainwashing Center.

At 6:00 a.m. on the morning of April 12, 2006, practitioner Ms. Zhao Xianying, who lives in the Songzi City Police Department Courtyard, was arrested by ten individuals, including the Director of the City 610 Office, Den Niangui (male), and the Deputy Director of the City Police Department, Luo Ping (male). They broke into Ms. Zhao's home without following legal procedure. They took her to the Provincial Brainwashing Center located at the Wuchang District Police Academy of Wuhan City to forcibly brainwash her. The current situation is unknown.

Practitioner Mr. Feng Huang, 30, is an engineer from the Guangzhou City Earth Chemistry Research Institute. He was arrested on April 19, 2006 by 610 Office members while he was at work.

Mr. Feng Huang's wife was arrested and taken to the brainwashing center because she practices Falun Gong. Now she can no longer take care of herself. At home, a seventy-year-old parent needs care.

Mr. Zhang Zhenjun was a Falun Gong practitioner from Shanghai City and was in his eighties. He lived in the Nanshi District and was a retired professor from Shanghai No. 1 Medical University. Before the persecution of Falun Gong, he had a very healthy mind and body from practicing Falun Gong. In July 2005, the local 610 Office ransacked his home and threatened him, causing him to become afraid of continuing to practice. Later he became sick and was admitted into the Zhongshan Hospital. He passed away on April 3, 2006.

Practitioner Mr. Zhang Xingsong, a teacher from the Huanggang City Industrial School (now named the Edong Professional Institute) was arrested at home by the local National Security Group. Reportedly, he was taken to Wuhan City. At present, his family members and school staff members are still not allowed to visit him. He has been held for about one week at the time of this report.
