On May 13 fourteen years ago, Teacher Li started to introduce Falun Gong to the public. In the past fourteen years, Falun Gong has been spread to over 70 countries and regions and into over a hundred million people's lives. In order to celebrate this special day, practitioners from the greater Seattle area held a series of events.

In a park at Chinatown starting from 11 a.m., practitioners demonstrated the five sets of exercises and taught them to people. They explained how the slow and elegant movements and the guiding principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" help people balance and improve their health physically and mentally.
Practitioners also set up the photo exhibition of "The Journey of Falun Gong" there, displaying how Falun Gong was introduced to the public in 1992 and quickly spread all over the world. The practice is gaining popularity across the world even after being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) since 1999. Many historical moments were shown in the photos.
In the recent couple of months, it has been reported that labor camps and hospitals in China have colluded to harvest organs from living practitioners and sold them for huge profits. In order to help more people know about the atrocity and call for the international community's close attention and thorough investigation of the CCP's genocide against Falun Gong practitioners, local practitioners held reenactments of the organ harvesting and anti-torture exhibitions, as well as a picture exhibition to expose the evil history of the CCP. Besides the posters, the practitioners also introduced the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party through loudspeakers in both Chinese and English, the current progress of over ten million withdrawals from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and the fact that CCP secretly held practitioners for organ harvesting.
Practitioner Alex read the congratulatory letter on World Falun Dafa Day from the governor of Washington State. In the letter, Governor Christine Gregoire said: "As the Governor of the State of Washington, I'm pleased to welcome all the people who celebrate 'World Falun Dafa Day'." She expressed that it is especially important to advocate 'Compassion" and promote diversity.

Upon seeing these shocking displays, some passersby came over to ask what was going on. After learning the facts, many people signed the petition letter and asked what else they could do to help.
Alice Malhan, 14 years old from Eckstein High School, said that she felt so bad when she learned that such terrible things were happening in China. A young mother named Christine was shocked by the crimes and expressed her outrage.
It was very busy in Chinatown on that day, as many high school
students came to Chinatown for Oriental Culture offsite classes.
Mohammad Khalili of Bothel said, "It is very good to have this kind of
event in Chinatown. It was very educational. It is very important to
raise people's awareness through these events."

During the Japanese traditional May vacation week, Kinki Falun Gong practitioners held activities in Kyoto to expose the Chinese Communist regime's atrocities of harvesting organs from living practitioners.

On the first day of the truth-clarification effort, practitioners displayed banners and posters at an entrance to Kyoto's bustling business district. They distributed fliers and told passers-by one after another about the ongoing atrocities of harvesting organs from living Chinese Falun Gong practitioners detained in the Chinese Communist regime's forced labor camps. They urged the public to take urgent action to end the 7-year persecution of Falun Gong and end the inhuman crimes.
The posters that detailed the crimes of organ harvesting drew the attention of many passers-by, who slowed down or stopped to read the posters and listen to the practitioners' explanation. After having learned the truth, many of them signed the practitioners' petition to call for an end to the atrocities. Several Kyoto residents told the practitioners: "We knew a long time ago that the Chinese Communist regime sold human organs for profit and many Japanese went to China for transplants. It is very good that you are exposing this crime. You are very courageous."
Kyoto is a tourist destination and non-Japanese can be seen
everywhere. Many people from outside Japan signed the petition after
learning about what is happening in China. The city has a very long
history with rich culture, and has attracted a large number of
international students, including many Chinese students. Some
passing-by Chinese students were angered upon learning of the inhumane
crimes of the Chinese Communist regime. They signed the petition and
quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. There were also some
Chinese people who were unwilling to face the truth and even insulted
practitioners, as they had been deeply brainwashed by the CCP's
propaganda and couldn't understand the practitioners' persistent
efforts. Nevertheless, practitioners maintained a peaceful heart and
clarified the truth to everyone they encountered.

At the celebration site, practitioners displayed banners and posters to expose the Chinese Communist regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong. They also reenacted the regime's atrocity of harvesting organs from living practitioners. Behind the reenactment site, banners which read "Immediately Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong and the Crimes of Harvesting Organs from Living Practitioners in China," "Organ Trafficking is Happening in Chinese Concentration Camps," "Asian Pacific Appeal: Thoroughly Investigate Harvesting and Trafficking of Falun Gong Practitioners' Organs in Chinese Communist Regime's Labor Camps" were displayed.

Many locals and tourists read banners and posters to learn about the truth
At 4 p.m., practitioners kicked off the activity with a group practice. About 120 practitioners, including some little practitioners, participated. Many tourists watched with great interest.
When the organ harvesting reenactment started, a lot of tourists asked questions. A tourist approached a practitioner acting as a doctor and asked: "What are you doing?" The practitioner replied: "We are reenacting an atrocity happening in Chinese labor camps, organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. We have to expose this to the public, as most media outlets haven't fully reported on the atrocity."
Pak Darma was the organizer of this activity. He called on local residents to help end the Chinese Communist regime's abhorrent crimes against Falun Gong practitioners, as the crimes have gravely violated human rights. He also called on all governments around the world to take action to rescue Falun Gong practitioners who are subjected to organ harvesting.
